When Kingpin decided that he wanted an advanced piece of technology, Black Cat was the first person he called. Knowing that his intentions with the device were far from innocent, Felicia occasionally said no, depending on the scale of destruction, but an alleged tool that traced heat signatures and helped wall climb sounded relatively harmless, and helping Kingpin benefited her. She was repaying her debt to the gangster, but additionally, her deals with Kingpin were lucrative. Even when she was finished doing business regarding her luck powers, Felicia was the first to admit she would still remain in contact with him, accepting the odd job.
When she arrived at the address Kingpin had given her, Felicia took her time scoping the place out, ensuring that no one was home. Much to her pleasure, there were plenty of easy escape routes should she get caught in the act which would never happen if Kingpin had granted her a forty-eight hour deadline, but the man was impatient. To the best of her knowledge, no nosy vigilantes were in the area to interrupt her work. It was a tedious thing to check for, but there were two known Spideys, and roughly a billion other pains in her ass. Carefully, Felicia slipped inside of the home, and when no alarm triggered, she began her hunt for the tech Kingpin had requested.
The house wasn’t disorganized per se, but much to her shock, there were hundreds of pieces of tech that she hadn’t accounted for. Whoever the man she was stealing from was, he was sure a collector of fancy Wayne-made gadgets. If she were more confident in her timeframe, Felicia would have spent money scoping them all out, snatching whatever struck her fancy, but the clock was ticking, and she was in a hell of a time crunch. When she grasped what finally looked like Kingpin described, she quickly turned it on, pleased when she saw the thermal signatures on screen. Unfortunately, the person she was looking at was on the other side of the door, and she heard the lock click.
Caught red handed by the presumed owner, Felicia pocketed the Wayne Tech and attempted a smile. “Fancy meeting you here,” she said lightly, feigning confidence before the fight (most likely) ensued.
