♥:How they show affection.
Dodger's a fan of small, intimate touches with people he cares about. He doesn't show much affection even to close friends, so it's really either a lover or a chosen deity that he gets comfortable enough to be affectionate with. Which means snuggling, nuzzling, touching fingers, playing with their hair, tracing their faces with his hands and pressing his forehead to theirs. At least, that's the goal. He's very weary of physical contact and rejection of it, so if his advances are not enthusiastically reciprocated he usually just keeps his distance unless the other person makes it clear they don't want him to. In some cases, even if they do make it clear they want affection he can't get himself to.
Examples: I headcanon Atlas/Fontaine not being a fan of being touched, so Dodger never comes within a foot of him unless they're fighting. On the other hand, I like to imagine Dodger over in Saints Row verse can snuggle and hug Shaundi, maybe brofist Pierce or hug Johnny but the really intimate touches are weird for him. And over in Desert Bluffs Dodger just goes full out with Kevin because Kevin is the bae and Dodger is moonstruck about him.
♕:Their most prized possessions.
Dodger doesn't get very attached to material objects, usually, but each iteration of him has an object or two that's important to him. Bioshock!Dodger has a Saturnine mask, from before Atlas picked him up, that he keeps around to honor the past but also remind him that he can't turn back from his choices. SR!Dodger has knockout bandages that he wears on his wrists to hide self-harm scars from before he joined the Saints, and they're sort of a shield against people pitying him for his past. WTNV!Dodger has a Stexpet, which he mistreats rather regularly but is also pretty attached to and generally has a good relationship with. Sometimes it chews on his hair and that gets stuck in its circuitry. Columbia!Dodger has a Vox sash, mostly just to show allegiance to the Vox even though he doesn't consider himself to be one of them. Comstock!Dodger has a ring given to him by the Luteces with a cage on it, which he isn't so much attached to as unwilling to part with in case it turns out to be important because he gets the sense that the Luteces only do things if they are important.
All iterations except WTNV!Dodger and Comstock!Dodger also rely heavily on drugs and/or alcohol to get by, so there's that.
✖:A trait they despise in people.
He hates lies and deception. It's part of why he loves being an information broker; he gets to expose the secrets of others for money. The only way to avoid him is to be honest. He's constantly been scarred by deceit, so it's sort of left him with this unrealistic expectation for everyone to be upfront and honest with him about everything or else they deserve less and less respect the more things they don't tell him. Unrealistic, because he feels no one deserves to receive that honesty from him. He hates revealing anything about himself
Also ironic, seeing as this attitude did not in any way prevent him from falling for Fontaine's lies and in fact he actively hides from the truth about Atlas.
ツ:A guilty desire of theirs.
Above all else, to be able to open up to someone else and share everything he's been through and everything he's scared of becoming and all of his thoughts and feelings and wants and be accepted and loved and comforted. But, being the raging pessimist that he is, he knows for a fact that no one will ever listen to what he has to say without making fun of him, and even if he does find someone he's perfectly comfortable with they will betray him or leave him. He doesn't help this situation with his habit of shoving others away specifically because he likes them and feels comfortable around them.
Interestingly, Kevin has been the one exception to all this thus far.
