1. I’m a sucker for a good Tumblr meme. (Obviously. D) I’ve been on this hellsite for, what, going on eight years now? And I still have never been able to resist a good ask/reply/post meme.
2. Last night my dog literally ate one of my couch cushions. She ripped it to shreds, as if she was in some sort of DogShaming post. I didn’t even remember that eating pillows was a thing young dogs did! But alas, she has very much jogged my memory.
3. I’ve started going to shul regularly for the first time, like, ever; and it’s a wonderful uplifting thing that I wish I had been doing all my life. Jews are good peeps, y’all. I think I finally found my place in this city.
4. I’m doing Nano this year! Not in order to Write A Book In A Month (*gently weeps at the very thought*) but for that sweet, sweet word count. I’ve got a list of fic ideas/prompts that’s 10 items long and growing by the day, and so I welcome the excuse to get them closer to fruition. Now that I have the time again to work on fic, I’m gonna ride that train as far as it’ll take me.
5. Earlier this week I had a very distressing appointment with a specialist who told me that if I do nothing, I will likely lose my vision by the time I’m forty, or shortly thereafter. That is obviously not ideal, and I will not be doing nothing! I mean, I need these eyes to see, and blink, and stuff. Still, I’m kind of terrified about the procedure. Shooting lasers into my eyes goes against everything I learned in physics lab.
6. Currently I’m reading Olivia Waite’s A Lady’s Guide To Celestial Mechanics, Kayuga: Love Is War vol. 6, and a shit ton of fanfic.
