1. One thing I absolutely cAN’T STAND, is when people I’m with start singing along to a song I’m actively listening to. It drives me insane.
2. I think mushrooms are fucking disgusting.
3. I’m a huge procrastinator. Usually to to the point where I put things off for so long there are consequences ;-;.
4. I don’t really like drinking. But every once in awhile I’ll go out and get some kind of alchohol like ‘YEAH IM GONNA DO IT AND HAVE A GREAT TIME’. I drink less a tiny, tiny bit of whatever I got and then it sits and gathers dust for all eternity.
5. I have to constantly babble at my friends. A great deal of the time it manifests as
conversations that kinda
end up fragmented
like this because i just get
so impatient with how fast
my brain works and how slow my fingers type
in comparison.
And I know it’s probably really annoying, but I can’t help iiiit.
full name: Jaqueline Sirius Potter. Jaq is the first of Harry's efforts to honour his family and friends. Though Jaq used to tease Al for his unwieldy name, she almost had a worse one. It's a good thing Ginny drew the line at "Hagrid Sirius."
nicknames: Jaq or Jax. Nobody aside from her mother has ever tried call her 'Jackie'. Everyone else has been on the tail-end of a painful Bat-Bogey Hex.
d.o.b. and horoscope: 7th of April, 2003. Jaq is an Aries through and through; hot-headed, tactless, caring and brave.
ex-hogwarts house: Gryffindor
gender/pronouns: Female/she, her
sexuality: Bisexual heteroromantic
occupation: Healer-in-training and pre-med anatomy student at the nearby college. When Jaq was accepted at St. Mungo's for their prestigious residency program, she was ecstatic; she'd thought it was all she wanted. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be the case. While fulfilling, the Healer job didn't seem to sate her curiosities about the human body and how it reacted to healing. With the help of her Uncle Dudley (without the knowledge of anyone in her family, except maybe Al), she enrolled in the nearby college as a biology student, planning to take up medicine some time in the future. Balancing the two is immensely difficult, but Jaq finally feels as if she's doing something right.
residence: A roomy flat in Southwark. It's more of one big space, really, aside from her tiny bedroom and bathroom. This is what Jaq spent most of her coming-of-age money on, and she definitely doesn't regret it. She hadn't gotten it cheap, but it hadn't been too expensive; the Muggle owner had been desperate to sell, perhaps because the streets were practically overrun by cats. Her flat is walking distance from her school campus. It's more than a little messy, but Jaq knows where everything is, and despite the seeming lack of organization, everything has its place. Her couch has housed many a visitor, whether family or schoolmate or friend,, though they have to get through all the shit Jaq refuses to throw away.
physical appearance: Jaq has inherited a skill at Transfiguration from her namesake and grandfather; Harry often jokes that she's practically a Metamorphmagus with the way she changes her appearance so quickly. Though she's run through a couple of styles and looks, Jaq has settled for two: the first involves dreads and glasses, sometimes a nose ring. Though she could get her eyes corrected, she feels the glasses add character, so keeps her astigmatism and blurred vision. The second has a more "normal" looking Jaq, her dark hair down and contacts on.
personal style: When not in the Healers' uniform, she's normally in a beat-up, dark blue jacket, one the Potter-Weasley clan have dubbed Jaq's own cloak against Death. She bought it at the age of sixteen and has never let go of it since. Normally, she wears plain v-neck shirts, denim pants, and boots; she feels it cultivates the right sort of image.
mannerisms & habits: Jaq's poison of choice is nicotine. (And swearing. She has the mouth of a sailor.) She doesn't smoke often, but she's always got a pack on her, despite the warning all her friends give her about being a Healer and knowing the consequences. Jaq always has a pen tucked somewhere on her person, most often in her voluminous hair. She tends to take that pen and draw little stars all over her person, though she's got a shooting star permanently inked on her inner thigh. She also likes painting her toenails, as she can't really do that to her fingernails for fear of the chemicals mixing with potions. No one gets to see the outrageous colours she's wearing, but Jaq doesn't mind.
motivation: Jaq's primary motivation in life is to find herself. She spent her early years under the glare of the camera, and she grew used to it. While she doesn't want to cause a scene for its own sake -- that would be pointless, and there's nothing Jaq hates more -- she would like to be acclaimed for something. People argue that topping the St. Mungo's internship program is enough, but Jaq doesn't feel that was an achievement all on her own. She's convinced her parentage had something to do with it, and she was right, which definitely frustrates her. She's twenty-four years old, Merlin's sake, and yet she doesn't know who she really is? This is why Jaq takes care of her image; though she will do whatever the hell she wants to do, she does things knowing it'll make her look a certain way. People think Jaq is careless, but she really isn't; she weighs the consequences of her actions against what it will do to her. Still, she tends to give more of herself than is strictly healthy, volunteering to help others even when her energy levels are low.
possible connections:
passers-by - Wrong side of the track, right side of the track, you name it: Jaq's got a lot of friends, especially among her family members. She's friendly and outgoing, very easy to get along with, but few people actually get to know her properly. This leads me to the...
bosom companion: Character A is someone who really knows Jaq, though not quite as well as Albus does. (Nobody can know her as well as that.) A's personality complements Jaq's very well, and the two often have a fun time going out, whenever the two actually see each other. Though Jaq is very busy, she definitely makes time for A, although A has noticed that Jaq's more than a little tired lately.
the one that got away: Whenever Jaq thinks of a relationship gone bad, she often remembers Character B. B and Jaq had been perfect, really, up until they weren't. (Leaving this a little vague so we can develop this.) Maybe the two are awkward now, but they still look each other up and down and feel the attraction between them.
family feud (open to multiple): Jaq's personality seems a little boorish when compared with some of her family members. She doesn't give much of a shit if they look down on her, but they do incite her to use words she's never used on patients. Jaq doesn't have a short temper, but these people in her goddamned family just won't give her a fucking break.
