Jay is the type that lights a joint, hits it once or twice and then proceeds to be like 'by the way I had a thought' and just starts talking for like 20 minutes straight (he's not even stoned yet, he just loves to yap) and Bob is so used to Jay doing this that several lines into Jay's monologue he just takes the joint from him and ends up smoking most of it himself. in his defense, Jay never really pauses to ask him for a response, any of the times Jay goes, 'you know what I'm saying?' it's a rhetorical question because like .02 second later Jay will answer his own question with something snarky like, 'nah, why the fuck would your antisocial ass have a clue what I'm talking about' and continues ranting. Bob's only half-listening anyway because there is weed and Jay is more tolerable to be around after he yaps himself into exhaustion.
Jay does tend to be briefly like wtf man that Bob smoked most of his joint once he realizes it, but he gets over it pretty quickly once Bob hands it back to him. bonus points if Bob actually tells him, 'you were too busy yapping about [insert nonsense]' because Jay turns into an excited puppy whenever he gets to hear Bob's voice !!
you forgot the part where jay definitely sings songs to silent bob where he changes which lyrics go with which melody. and then pulls out some candy from his pocket, that he definitely stole from the quik stop.
