You know who I am, of course, but I’ll introduce myself anyway.
I’m Jean-Jacques Leroy, more commonly known by my nickname, JJ. Very, very few people call me Jean - two of them being my fiancee, Isabella, and Otabek. I am 23 now, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. I speak fluent French and English.
I have had a lot of success in my skating, which I won’t get into. My goals this season are: deal with the COVID shit, for one. Sectionals have been pushed back until next month. The Skate Canada Challenge (our National qualifier) is pushed back until January, both are virtual, and Nationals are now in February. Second, I am going to win a seventh National title. The record is 8. I can do that. Third, I want to win a medal at Worlds. I have been fourth three times.
On a personal note, I came out as bisexual when I was almost 20. Isabella and I broke up shortly afterwards, because I had... to do some exploring. I have been with guys before, but I wasn’t open and out about who I was. Most of my family doesn’t understand. We’re very religious. Isabella was supportive. My parents and my siblings tried.
Isabella and I got back together, and are engaged again, but we’re taking our time this time. We both admit we were too young last time. She’s my rock, though.
Outside of Knoxville, Tennessee there is a trio of farms. In the center where these three parcels of land meet, there’s a giant old Cypress tree. There’s a tire swing hanging from one branch, a groove worn into the limb holding it. An old tire, from back in the way backs as Grandpa Gene would call it, hung, eternally swaying in the breeze.
It overlooks a pond. Barns. Expanses of land. It’s quiet and peaceful.
On the trunk of that tree, there are names, initials. GJ loves ED. EJ <3s MT. Jim luvs Deedee. Representing the Jericho family and the soulmates they met along the way. Gene, he loved Edna and told the world. Eugene loves Maggie, to this day. Deedee caught the eye of Jim. This is the Jericho Forever Tree. This is the tree where Travis Jericho carved his initials with Lou Wolfe’s after they parted, and where he goes to feel closest to her even now. This is where Ollie will add her soulmate one day. Where Faith will carve Tommy’s name. Where JJ will never get the chance to add her name. Temp wants to put her initials here with someone important more than anything.
This tree. It’s magic. Aunt Karen never carved her initials in the tree, because the Jericho in love is the one who has to do the carving, and now? Aunt Karen is on husband number three. If you love them, you carve it into the tree to let the universe know. Eugene married Maggie under the tree. There’s pictures of her swinging on the tire in her wedding gown.
(JEREMIAH JAMES ‘JJ’ HARRISON) who looks an awful lot like (JOE KEERY) has just been seen around Port Whitley! Apparently (HE/HIM) is/are a (THIRTY) year old (CIS MAN) born on (24 February 1992) and has been in the city for (MOST OF THEIR LIFE) living in (SOL POINTE) and is a (STREAMER/GAMER and MUSICIAN/SONG WRITER). If there is a quote to describe them it would be “'WHAT MUST IT BE LIKE TO GROW UP THAT BEAUTIFUL? WITH YOUR HAIR FALLING INTO PLACE LIKE DOMINOES.” - But we have yet to make up our mind if that is accurate.
Personality: JJ is an outgoing, confident, friendly and creative young guy. He can talk to anyone and enjoys being around people. He’s playful, a little dorky and is known to be reckless, especially after a drink. But he is a loyal friend, he genuinely cares about the people in his life. Though he can be a little naive, reckless and easily distracted and he doesn’t always focus on one thing at a time.

Jeremiah James, mostly known as JJ by friends and family, has always been a confident, friendly and outgoing young guy. Though his early life had its ups and downs, JJ was born in London, his family came from money on both sides from lawyers to business owners. His parents were only young when he was born; his mother just 19 and his father 21 years old. He grew up with a sick mom, who was in and out of remission with cancer and he spent time sitting by her hospital bed. He travelled to America often with his dad and grandparents for their work. Though most of this time was spent with his aunt and uncle who lived in California. When his mom passed away when he was just five years old, his dad worked a lot and struggled alone with the hyper young boy, which led to JJ moving in full time with his aunt and uncle in California.
California quickly became home for Jeremiah and he adapted well to life with his aunt and uncle. They are both doctors but they gave plenty of time and attention to him and his cousins. His life has always been happy and fulfilling and he grew up close to his cousins and they feel like his siblings. He was never treated differently to his cousins and his aunt and uncle gave him everything. When he was just eight, his grandma got sick and his family moved to Port Whitley, Connecticut to take care of her. His aunt and uncle opened a private medical practise nearby and Port Whitley is now the place JJ considers home.
Growing up, he was always full of life. From a young age, he was climbing things, playing baseball which he enjoyed doing with his uncle, messing around with instruments and building things with his hands. He liked to be on the go and he liked to be busy, he had so much energy but they did their best to keep him entertained and busy during his childhood. If he wanted guitar lessons he got them, if he wanted to play drums, he got them too. Despite being a little hyper, he was a loveable child who loved being around people. He was close to his uncle, and enjoyed working on cars with him and playing sports together. Though he had a soft side to him, that his aunt really understood.
His slightly reckless and outgoing personality only grew throughout high school, and his love for music was good for the teen. He played in a band, he could play guitar, piano and drums and he found his passion for writing. He soon found his confidence and began auditioning for the school performances and his natural charm often got him the lead roles. He worked hard in school, securing a place at university when he was eighteen. He moved back to California for college and studied music and performing arts. He did some extra work in some shows and began writing more and more, finding his love for writing plays and songs.
When his wealthy grandfather gave him a large sum of money for his 21st birthday, JJ decided to put the money into his writing and music. He’s talkative, friendly, charming and he also found a love for streaming games. He’s built quite a following and enjoys the social side of it. He is a loyal friend, he genuinely cares about the people in his life and he has a gentle and chill side to his personality which often gets him far.
JJ is now thirty years old and after making his big break selling a script, he decided to move back home to Port Whitley to continue his writing five years ago. He’d missed his family and he bought a nice place in Sol Pointe. He’s in a settled place and is generally happy with his life. He is still a little reckless, he enjoys going out and being around people. He goes camping with his friends quite often and still plays sports with his uncle. He still likes to be on the go, always playing music, gaming, being outside or messing around with a football. He’s a dog lover and when he’s not writing, gaming or playing with his band, he’ll be out walking his dog.
