//just. A concept.
//Ok you struck a curious thought for me. Which half of himself would he rather be fullblooded?? Altean or Galra?
//That… is a mighty good question. And honestly? I feel like he’d be so torn if it ever came to choosing.
He has many bad memories from associating with the Galra, but no good memories from associating with the Alteans.
If he were full Galra, his father, he feels, might have loved him. A deep down thought that he would never, ever admit to. Perhaps he would have been enough to impress him.
But if he were full Altean, perhaps his mother, he thinks, would still be alive. In a way, she died because of how much time she spent with the Galra. And he does think he died- there have been some hints, but he is in absolute denial.
It’s a huge back and forth and he currently feels that he wants a full experience of either- but can’t give up the other.
The Hierophant: What is one rule or law your muse would never break?, Death: If your muse had to change something about themselves, what would they change?
//Thank you so much for sending me asks! And for following :)
The Hierophant
I think that Lotor is only really beginning to discover what it means to be true to himself and to the path that he sees as right- but I think that the one rule he wouldn’t break, as of now, is the rule of the greater good.
So whether he’s being genuine to the Paladins or not (though for the purposes of blog canon, I say he is), it’s for the purpose of achieving peace for more people. If sacrifices need to be made (like in canon, when he may have sacrificed some of the Paladins), it’s for the greatest good.
It goes towards himself, too. More people need him to be Prince, then Emperor, than pursue his personal wants and interests. So that is eternally put on the backburner.
Death
I think that if he had the power to change it, he would choose one species to be and not the other. Because as it is, he’s been growing up with the notion that he’s not Galra enough, that he’ll never be Galra enough because he’s too Altean- and then was slapped in the face with the harsh reality that he’s also too Galra to be Altean enough.
He’s got a lot of deep-seated issues about never being enough by the right of being a little of both and honestly it would be fascinating to play out more.
