Stranger Things almost exclusively, but I dip into AUs for media that I like
How many words did you publish in 2024?
Somehow I managed to swing 185,239 words! I'm actually surprised about that.

Regency Omegaverse AU, sapphic Steddie, a bit of gender/designation fuckery. This was a gift as part of a server exchange and I'm super fond of it.

I didn't intend to only select sapphic fics but here we are lmao. This is a Mass Effect AU that I got to collab on with @glitterfang who is my ME queen. The art she drew for this really brought the story to life and it has been awesome bonding over our shared sci-fi love and blue husband.
What was your biggest pit of despair moment?
I feel like there was a tie- I felt severely burned out after 2024's Femslash February and really struggled to write much after. I also started a Master's program which has calmed down somewhat now but had a really vigorous and stressful foundational course.
I don't have to write everything! It's okay to leave WIPs in the ol' idea graveyard. I don't have to write something for every event that comes my way, and frankly it's healthier if I don't.
I would like to say that I've learned to pace myself but honestly I also sort of can't control that compulsion sometimes haha.
Did you beta any fics last year? Any faves you want to shout out?
I am intimidated by beta reading! My friends have been kind enough to let me poke around but frankly I think I'm not good for much more than catching one piddly little typo if I'm lucky.
Thank you pals for letting me pretend I know what I'm doing but I'm also sure you were doing beautifully without me popping into your doc to hover like the standing man emoji 🧍

This fic is gooorgeous! It's soft, with really tender depictions of the characters. Very worth the read!!! I'm not one for ASMR in real life (thanks, misophonia) but reading about Eddie and his favorite ASMR creator was just as peaceful as the aforementioned activity is for Eddie in the story.

I LOVE ALT FORMAT FICS! I spent a lot of 2024 listening to outlandish AITA videos as well as lurking the very same Subreddit, so this fic was like catnip to me. It's a well established world and it's so interesting seeing Steve and Robin through the perspectives of horrible ex partners and really rooting for their breakups.

I feel very passionately about this series and it means so much to me. I want this bound and on my shelf- I am actually planning to bind a copy for myself. The perfect coming of age love story.
What ideas are percolating for this year?
I'm hoping to complete a much more demure 4 fics for Femslash February this month, but we'll see how that goes. I may be psyching myself out.
I have a couple of sequels to stories from last year I'd like to complete, some oneshots, and (scary!) a multi-chapter fic I would like to challenge myself with. You can expect to see more Steddie but I've also got some alternative pairings in store.
