but isn't saying pidge hates dresses/girly things making her ooc? she wears a dress, she loves her long hair and has to brace herself before cutting it, she looks uncomfortable when the phrase 'man up' is used around her.. she's a girl and she likes being a girl.

This is a tough one since we really don’t know. Her outfits during the flashbacks seems to indicate she’s comfortable with a feminine identity. She really doesn’t have another change of clothes, so she can’t exactly change. Yeah they went to the Space Mall, but no one else picked out clothes.

Until we get 100% confirmation on her liking or disliking female clothing, we’ll never really know. It irks me quite a bit when people automatically assume she has to be butch or will transition to being more masculine because of her disguise. You can all headcanon what you want, but don’t tell me it’s canon when it isn’t.

Any time. I love Pidge so much. But I almost always see her used as a token progress character who delivers salty one liners and then she is out of the picture. She is a much more complex character than people give her credit for. Pidge definitely deserves a better fandom. All of the female characters do. Even Matt who has been reduced to a Cis-Male Pidge half the time.

I will be forever blunt about any fandom's treatment of female characters. There is blatant misogyny going on. I can list three fandoms that I trust to not do that: Legend of Korra, Avatar The Last Airbender, and Steven Universe. These fandoms aren't perfect either, but they have very strong female characters who are treated as such. Let Pidge and Allura in on some lovin'.

Why I like them- Keith is someone who seems to be a person who just needs some love to get him to open up. I don’t think he’s as asshole-ish as some people have made him out to be?

Why I don’t- This isn’t really the answer, but I absolutely HATE when people make him out to be this lost and helpless person in fics and stuff Like???? Bruh?? Keith is headstrong and brash but he isn’t an imbecile or stupid. Yes, he might lack certain social cues, but it’s not really his fault? Dude’s been living by himself in the desert making conspiracy theory boards by himself and then he lays a tarp on them for that extra ass reveal for himself like?? Cut him some slack.

Favorite episode (scene if movie)- Another one for Fall of the Castle of Lions. I just absolutely love that we get to see how he is actually upset by the fact that Pidge is leaving… You see that fact that it actually is bothering him; This is the only family he has and one of them are leaving to go find their family and I just… Protect Keith.

Favorite season/movie- NULL AND VOID

Favorite line-  “IT’S ME KEITH, YOUR BUDDY. KEEEIIIITTHHH. I AM YOUR PALADIN. I’M BONDING WITH YOUUUUUUUUU” Here we see how much bonding actually means to the poor guy. 

Favorite outfit- Keith in his classic emo get up tbh + Knife has to be included or it’s incomplete.

Favorite episode (scene if movie)- “Tears of the Balmera” You get to see how badass and quick Pidge really is and her and Rover??? Are so cute??? Like?? BFFs?? ALSO CAN WE AGREE THAT PIDGE IS THE MASTER OF DECEPTION/INFILTRATION??? ike, they’re lion is hidden and they used a hologram to lure the guard away. A+ my dude!!

Favorite line- Just the scene where Pidge is rambling to SHiro during the pilot when they’re trying to retrieve the green lion. You see how young Pidge really is and what their intentions are and just so adorable, man.
