HOT STORY: Spotlight Ent Reveals TRAXX and Iris are Both Gearing Up for Promotions

It has been an exciting year for Spotlight Entertainment to say the very least, and it seems as though they will be going out with a bang. As 2019 comes to a close, a representative from the company made a statement regarding end of the year promotions.

TRAXX has been largely inactive this year-- following member Havoc’s scandals last year, the group wrapped up their Love Shot promotions, and aside from a few solo appearances, the group has stayed quiet. Spotlight has revealed that TRAXX is now working hard to put together an album, that is tentatively set to release at the end of the year. They have not yet revealed how much involvement Havoc will have in the comeback.

After another successful release with Umpah Umpah, Iris isn’t slowing down either. Spotlight announced last week that Iris is set to have their first solo stadium tour in South Korea, and tickets went on sale yesterday evening, selling out almost immediately. Spotlight has stated that they are looking into booking a few extra nights to give all fans a chance to see their favorite girl group.

traxx is now in canon working on a comeback for obsession! this timeline will not coincide with the real-life exo promotions. right now they are likely recording and learning choreography, and will film a music video next week. teasers will begin to drop in the second week of december, with the comeback date being sometime at the end of that week. promotions will go into january.

iris’ “la rouge” concerts will be happening in canon in the third week of december as well.

SEPTEMBER 5 - Iris Make Long Awaited Comeback

It has been more than a year since we last saw Iris-- their last group release was Psycho, and since then, they took a break, focusing on unit and solo endeavors. Fans needn’t worry, however, as the fivesome made their return today with their song Queendom. It is just what fans were expecting-- a fresh pop song with just a hint of quirky gimmick to keep things interesting.

SEPTEMBER 7 - Scope Black Make Trio Release

We won’t pretend to understand Kaleidoscope’s lineup, and the ever-changing members that appear on any given song, but that aside, they put out good music, and they’ve done that again! Three members comprise Scope : Black this time around, and today they’ve put out Without You

TRENDING: Sera Has Solo Comeback

Iris has been all over the place in the past couple years. The group itself hasn’t had a release since Psycho, with the group focusing on unit promotions. Sera promoted alongside Solhee in that unit, and it saw big success in 2021. 

Sera herself hasn’t had a solo release in a couple of years either, so when Spotlight announced a new Sera album for March 2022, no one knew what to think, but no on expected Rain Star-- many fans are digging the new style, something they claim seems to fit more into Liberty.

There is still no word on whether Iris will have any group promotions any time soon.

HOT: Iris Seso Stuns With Intricate Choreography

Iris’ subunit, SeSo, released their first comeback Naughty today. While the music video is incredibly minimalistic, fans didn’t seem to mind-- they were entranced by the choreography, which the limited music video seemed to highlight.

The song’s dance features some very difficult tutting moves, and fans can’t stop talking about the knife-like precision the members had in pulling it off.

HOT: Iris SeSo Debuts Subunit with Monster

Iris’ new unit is shaking the scene-- their new song, Monster, has become an instant hit, and has brought up lots of topics of conversation

While many fans were concerned over Iris’ lack of a full group comeback, many are excited about this unit-- with less members, and with Luri not on the lineup, Solhee’s vocals really get a showcase, reminding fans of just how good she is. 

A big topic of conversation was the very sapphic vibes the music video has, and while many fans were excited by the direction, it brought up a lot of old rumors-- namely ones involving Rejectz. It’s been a well known fact that the six members of Higher’s group were original members of Iris that were cut, and it’s been a rumor and fan theory that one of the reasons why Via in particular was cut was for her sexuality. While that hasn’t been confirmed by any of the members of either group, it’s a popular theory, and therefore this new direction for Iris has upset a lot of longtime Rejectz fans.

NEW: Iris is Next Spotlight Group to Debut Unit

2021 is the year of Spotlight subunits, with Iris next on the docket, as per a Spotlight press release earlier today. And while fans are excited, the question why is running through the air.

With Spotlight’s other groups, it made sense. Half of Phantom recently enlisted, and TRAXX has been in scandal trouble for a while now-- with some of their older members enlisting last year, as well. Iris has had no major scandals, and no member departures. Members aren’t busy with other projects. With it being more than a year since the full group’s last release, many fans are wondering why Spotlight wouldn’t just give them a full comeback instead. 

The unit will comprise of Sera and Solhee, and will be called SeSo accordingly.
