Summary: Requested by @my-name-is-alice-ayers (Part 1 of 2) - You and Tom have been broken up for a few months now and it’s taking a toll on both of you. At least Chris has always been by your side when you need him and one night you need it more that usual.
Words: 1,444
Warnings: Mentions of sex and masturbation, heavy kissing, I think that’s all
Notes: This is the first fic I’ve done in quite a while so my apologies if I’m pretty rusty, but I hope to be doing heaps more in the near future
“Now, (Y/N), what has it been like working so closely with Tom since your break-up? Especially since it’s come out that he has started dating Taylor Swift” The interviewer asked
You had to stop yourself from rolling your eyes at this question, this was at least the 8th time you had been asked this since starting this press tour for Avengers: Infinity War. Instead, you put on a honey sweet smile and answered the question the exact same way you have already.
“It honestly hasn’t changed the way we work together, Tom is still one of my best friends and he totally understood that right now I just want to put all my energy into my career. I’ve been really lucky with that, and Taylor is such a lucky woman to have him. And I mean, hey, worst comes to worst we all end up single in the end and I get another banger of an album to listen to by her.” You joked, all three of you laughing
Truth is, you hated seeing those two together. It was no secret between Tom and yourself that you both hated not being together, but you knew and explained to him that you have been working your whole life to reach the point you were currently at in the film industry, and wanted to do whatever you could to continue this amazing streak of movies you were currently having.
The interview ended pretty soon after that and Chris Evans and yourself left the room together, finally being done with your joint interviews for the day.
“Come on (Y/N), let’s go get you a drink” Chris says, wrapping an arm around you “I know the perfect spot”
You smiled up at him but said nothing. Chris has been there for you throughout all of this, your rock that you’ve been able to lean on no matter how busy he was.
. . . . . . . . .
“Okay, you have to tell me, did you ever have sex in costume?” Chris asked, half hiding his snickers behind his beer bottle
You snorted, leaning back into your bar stool and tilting your head back as though you were about to fall into a laughing fit.
“No, never! Neither of us would have been able to pull our bottoms off without help from the costume crew!”
“What about the good ol’ bump and grind?” Chris wiggled his eyebrows and then raised them half way up his forehead when he saw you go beet red “Oooh, there was a lot wasn’t there?”
“Shut up Chris, a woman has needs” You tried to defend yourself, not daring to look around the bar to see if anyone was watching or listening in.
The bar was in the basement of an old industrial style building, it was dark, covered in old number plates and advertising boards. The only people currently in there were middle aged and elderly men in biker outfits and young couples not wanting to be caught together.
“You, the Enchantress slash seductress, have needs?! I never . . .” Chris mocked shock
You laughed and elbowed him “Come on, I need some food” you said, hopping off the stool and grabbing your jacket
Chris smiled widely, jumped off the stool and headed to the door with you. The walk back to the hotel was a short one, with the sky overhead blanketed in dark blue velvet with starts scattered all across with their own special sparkles, though most of the sky was obstructed by multi-storey buildings. It made the view all that much more special, like humans had forgotten to appreciate the beautiful world we have been gifted and just wanted to reach higher for their own self-accomplishment but never wanted to actually look up.
“What are you thinking about?” Chris asked, gazing across at you with a small smile on his face
You walked inside the hotel lobby and headed for the elevator together
“Just how lucky we are to have such beautiful skies and nature, and how so many seem to not give it a second thought and take so much for granted” You answered
“You do love to think about happy things, don’t you?” Chris smirked
“You know where I’m coming from though, right? We’re destroying this world and each other with hatred and greed, while there are communities out there who don’t have clean water or education.” You rambled, getting obviously passionate
“You and Tom really are so similar” Chris commented as you walked out of the elevator and onto your floor
“I hope you’re only talking about good things”
You spun around, a little dizzy from the number of drinks you had had this afternoon, and saw Tom standing behind you. You both looked at each other and your mouth went dry while your palms went sweaty.
“Of course, I was just saying that both you and (Y/N) are so passionate about making sure this planet isn’t abused and everyone has the same opportunities” Chris explained, his usual smile plastered across his face
“I think our first all-nighter conversation was something along those lines, wasn’t it (Y/N)?” Tom looked over at you
“Y-yes, specifically our time working with UNICEF overseas” You agreed “I’m sure you and Taylor have all-nighters too, though” You smiled and headed towards your room, without another word
You picked up the hotel room phone and was greeted with reception
“Hello, how can I help you?” They asked
“Hi, could I please have a large bowl of chips and some garlic bread brought up to room 405?”
“Of course ma’am, is there anything else I can help you with?”
“Actually could you please also bring up two extra pillows?” You had a feeling you would be wanting to cuddle something or surround yourself with pillows tonight.
“Of course, I’ll be able to get those up to you in 20 minutes, is that okay?”
“That’s perfect, thank you very much and have a good night” You thanked
“You too ma’am, thank you again for choosing to stay with us”
You put the phone down just as Chris walked in
“Sorry about that, I ordered food for us” You said, looking over at him while you sat on the bed
“You don’t need to apologise (Y/N), I get what you’re going through” Chris replied, sitting next to you and putting his hand on your leg “You know I’m here for you”
You looked over at Chris, your faces not far from each other
“You know, I haven’t slept properly since Tom and I split” you mumbled to yourself and chuckled a little, after a moment
“What’s so funny?” Chris asked
“I’m just thinking about what I used to do some nights when I couldn’t sleep”
“What did you do?” Chris asked
“ . . . relax . . . privately . . .” you chose your words carefully, not wanting to say outright that you used to masturbate if you couldn’t sleep, but also wanted Chris to be able connect the dots.
It’s not like you hadn’t tried in recent months but it was either too soon after the break up or it just didn’t work.
“You mean you haven’t . . . since . . .?” Chris asked, watching you closely
“No” You answered simply, looking up at him
You both looked at each other in silence and you weren’t sure if it was the booze, the fatigue, the lighting or just the fact that you were actually looking at Chris now but you suddenly found Chris very attractive and wanted nothing more than to forget about Tom and everything else outside your hotel room, and that included the food you were waiting on.
“Can I . . . kiss you?” you whispered, lightly brushing Chris’s lips with your finger tips
“If you’re sure you want to and it’s not the alcohol speaking”
“Come on, you’ve seen me drunk before Chris, you know I’m fully aware of what I’m doing” You smiled, leaning in and kissing him.
First softly, then passionately, and it wasn’t long before Chris was kissing you back. You shifted yourself onto his lap and ran your fingers through his hair, while he placed his hands on your hips. The kissing began to become more passionate and feverish as you both began to be more needy for the other’s touch.
Then you were both shocked apart by the sound of a knock on your hotel door room.
“Room Service” Someone called from the other side of the door
You and Chris both laughed as you got off him and headed towards the door
Summary: This takes place at the end of Infinity War and you have no real clue about what’s going on until someone new begins to explain things to you.

Author’s Note: I have cut this one a little shorter than expected but I already have a base plot in my head for my next multi-part, I just have to get it all down on paper. I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride with this one, It wasn’t great in some parts but other parts I fell in love with writing and I really think you can tell. If you have any ideas or requests please feel free to send me a message :)
-6 Months Later-
“What’s going on? Has anyone heard anything?” Marie asked, trying not to convey the fear she was feeling
“Nothing, last I heard the Avengers were off to Wakanda, wherever that is” One of your employees answered
“So, we still don’t know what’s happened?” You asked, and were answered simply by a shake of the head
It all started at once. First it was the reports in central New York of Tony Stark, some magician guy and Bruce Banner who went missing even before you did. No one knew who the creatures were that they were fighting, we had never seen or heard of them before but we could tell they were trouble. Then, we heard about Steve, Wanda, Vision and Natasha somewhere in Europe, but we don’t know what happened there.
No one had heard anything from Thor, but you really hadn’t expected to be told if he did get in touch with any of the other Avengers. Ant Man was missing, so was Clint Barton and you secretly hoped to God that Peter Parker was off doing high school things with his friends.
You sat back down at your desk with another cup of coffee, your fourth for the day, and sipped at it while watching the news from the TV mounted to the wall in one of the corners of the office. It was just re-runs of what you all already knew but if anyone worldwide had any new information it would be aired as breaking news so you all just watched and waited.
‘Loki’ You silently prayed to yourself, ‘Please tell me you are safe and happy. I know we haven’t spoken in months and were both pretty heartbroken about how things ended,’ That was a lie. You were inconsolable for the days following. Marie had said to everyone that you needed to get the last of it out of your system after the final goodbye with Loki. That was, her words exactly, ‘the end of the final chapter in a book. It was now time to process everything and then when you’re ready begin the next book’. ‘I just need you to be safe and to stay out of trouble. For me. I love you.’ You finished, turning to look out the window.
You were just staring into nothing when shapes and colours began to shift and change in your reflection. At first you thought it was just your imagination trying to occupy your mind but then the shapes changed into something too specific. It was Loki. You dropped your coffee to the floor and it smashed, it was like your reflecting was now Loki and only you could see him.
“Loki…” You mumbled
He only smiled, a sad, pitiful smile, before he was gone
“(Y/N), what’s happening?” Marie asked, her voice shaking
“What do you mea-“ You began, spinning around
Only, you couldn’t spin around. You looked down and your legs were no more. They were disappearing to ash. You then looked at your hands and they were also gone, explaining the dropped coffee just seconds ago.
“Guys . . . please, help . . .” You begged, on the verge of tears and a panic attack but you could no longer see them
The world was dark and full of nothingness, you weren’t supported by a chair or the floor but you also weren’t falling or floating. It was just nothing.
“Someone, anyone! Help!” You screamed, with no reply, not even an echo. All sound was instantly absorbed and so didn’t sound louder than a far of scream but right in front of you
Where were you? What happened? How do you get out of here? Your head swam with so many questions and you had been engulfed by your panic attack so severely and so instantly that you closed your eyes and couldn’t tell you were now on the ground, somewhere new with light, and sound and colour. You couldn’t hear the people calling your name and you couldn’t see their faces until one voice rang so clearly that all your fear and questions washed away and you now felt safe.
This voice wasn’t familiar to you, it was a woman’s you had never heard before and although it sounded as if she was right in front of you, you couldn’t see here, you only knew which way she wanted you to go.
You stood up and began walking past the buildings and structures, which the further you walked looked as though they were from every era and decade, like a timeline of architecture and culture. You walked passed everything from armies of tents, to Edwardian townhouses to 60’s and 70’s white pickett, suburban houses.
Where were you? You kept asking but as you reached closer at close to a large renaissance palace, like that in Versallies, France you began to feel warmer and like all your questions were about to be answered. You glided past the front gates, in the front door and up the stairs until you were on a balcony with the lady, who’s voice you were following.
She was beautiful and had gorgeous long, blonde hair, dressed in Asgardian fabrics of cool tones.
“Hello (Y/N), my how things have turned out for you, I’m so sorry” She said, grabbing your hands and squeezing them comfortingly
“Who are you?” You asked
“I am Frigga, mother of Thor and-“ She began explaining
“You’re Loki’s mother.” You interrupted, surprised to discover who she is
She nodded with a kind smile “Yes I am, and I have some unfortunate news darling, but I think by now you might have figured that out . . .”
She waited while you thought about it, but it didn’t take long. Frigga died before you had even met Loki, which meant only one thing.
“I’m dead. But why are we here together? Should you not be in Valhalla? What happened?” You asked, all your questions wanting to explode right now
“Yes dear, I am in Valhalla, and so are you” She confirmed
“But how? I’m not Asgardian and I didn’t die in war. I shouldn’t be here”
She chuckled lightly, “Valhalla is just what we call it, the truth is that it’s all one place with many different names depending on where you come from. How open minded you are in life and how much you’ve seen determines how much you can see here, and my dear you’ve gotten a taste of the whole package, which is why you can find me here”
“Forgive me, but I still don’t understand. If I was so close minded about this place and what it is, I still don’t understand why it would all open up for me if what you say really is true” You pressed, still so confused as to why this after life would show you everything after being away from Earth just once and studying mythology.
“You really are as cleaver as he said you would be” She commented
“Who?”
“The truth is, I have a little leverage here. It was always going to be a very close call as to whether or not this place would open up to you fully, I just helped nudge you over the line as a favor to someone very close to you” She said, ignoring your question as she walked over to the balcony doors which had closed behind you without you noticing.
She opened the doors and on the other side was the last person who expected to see.
“Loki . . .” You breathed
He took a few steps towards you with a cautious look on your face
“(Y/N) . . . how are you feeling?” He asked
“But that means you’re . . .” You couldn’t bear to say it aloud and only as you were thinking it did you see the large purple marks on his neck
“What happened?” You asked, stepping forward and reaching out towards the marks but didn’t dare touch
“It’s a scar of my death, everyone has them here to remind them of how they died”
“But I don’t . . .” You hadn’t remembered seeing any marks on yourself, but you also hadn’t been looking and didn’t know what to look for
Loki reached forward and turned your hand over so it was palm up and sure enough there was your mark. Your fingertips were black and the inside of your wrist displayed hair thin lines like those on a cracked porcelain doll which hadn’t completely broke yet. Only your lines were much darker, like ash.
“In this world, the rules of our former lives don’t count anymore” Loki began explaining, as though he was trying to make me guess what he was talking about without actually having to say the words “We’re not bound by the same laws and the same people if we don’t want to be”
You looked up at his face, still not sure what he was saying “Why did I see you in my reflection?” You asked, ignoring what he was saying
“I was trying to tell you that everything would be okay, but astral projection is a lot harder than I had expected,” He joked “And that I could keep you safe, if you wanted . . .”
It finally clicked, what he was trying to say. The only reason why we parted ways when we were alive was because he was still married to Sigyn, but here he wasn’t. We could actually try to make things work as a real couple here.
“So, what do you say? Want to open that next book?” He asked nervously, referencing Marie’s words
This time, you didn’t have to think about it. You knew you still needed to come to terms with the fact that you were dead and still had a million questions which needed to be answered but with Loki by your side, you felt as though it would be much easier. You knew you were home when you were with him, and all though you had never really kissed, been on a date or taken things very far at all (including the bedroom), you figured you now had all the time you could ever possibly want to experience everything together.
You nodded and leapt into his arms to hold him tightly, breathing him in and planning to never let go again.
“I love you, Loki” You breathed into his neck
“I love you too, (Y/N)” He replied, holding you as close as possible

________________________________________________
The lights of the rides twinkled in the night sky, contracting the white glow of the stars with their golden and multi coloured bulbs. Around you was thousands of people enjoying themselves, running, laughing, screaming and chatting with their friends as they made their way to their next destination. You currently stood back from one of the many prize games, watching your cousin stick his tongue out concentrating and your aunt try to help him pick up one of the floating ducks with his ‘fishing rod’. With how busy you were lately due to filming the latest season of the current show you were Assistant Director to, you hadn’t seen much of your family and this outing was definitely needed, but you couldn’t help but let your mind wander, as well as your gaze, thinking about the one person you wished you could see above everyone else.
Sebastian Stan had swept you off of your feet the moment you met him on Once Upon A Time and for a long time after that you both just talked and got to become great friends. Then you finally thought you were ready to ask him out when he just had to go and get himself a girlfriend. To be honest, you didn’t actually know if the girl you saw him with was his girlfriend but even if they weren’t you still got jealous every time he talked about her, so you just never asked about her or that date you had desperately wanted at that stage. These days you still missed him, seeing and talking to him a lot less than you used to, partially due to conflicting schedules and partially because you pushed him away, feeling rejection that never actually came but you couldn’t stop your mind from thinking he would never see you the same way you see him.
You had seen each other from time to time, at a friend’s wedding, out with others, and even at a birthday party. You were gazing off into the distance when you saw a capped man buying some food from one of the many scattered food trucks. His face was mostly covered and he wore a jacket and long pants but you couldn’t shake the feeling that you knew who it was. Only once he had paid and turned away from the truck did you see his face and your heart stopped, because it was Sebastian in incognito mode. You saw him walking in another direction and your heart clenched; you still had feelings for him and it sucked every time you saw him, being reminded that through all the years he had never asked you out and was so obviously not interested. Part of you loved it though; you loved that flutter in your stomach and even the sweatiness of your palms because this was the closest you had gotten to real feelings for someone, that wasn’t just curiosity or infatuation, since high school.
“Go”
You jumped and turned your head to see your aunt standing beside you, one hand holding Conner’s and the other holding the stuffed toy he had just won. You had told her everything over the years, she was more of a sister than an aunt and she would listen to every little thought that popped into your head when you needed someone to talk to.
“Just go and say ‘hi’, we’ll be around here for a little while I think” She encouraged, and so you took a deep breath and nodded
You jogged in the direction you had seen Sebastian head in and even when there were crowds of people in the way you could still see his head bobbing along in the same and opposite direction as everyone else’s around him.
“Sebastian!” You called, though it came out disconnected as though you weren’t aware you were about to call his name
He paused and turned around, mouth full of stuffed potato, his eyes grazing over the masses to assess where the voice came from. Then he saw you jogging towards him, slowing to a walk when he saw you, and smiled widely while gulping down the mouthful of food so he could speak without spitting food at you.
“(Y/N)!, what are you doing here? I thought you didn’t finish filming for another couple weeks” He greeted, pulling you into a warm hug
You hugged him back, one hand over his jacket and the other sneaking it’s way in. His body felt toast warm and his signature cologne filled your nose, silently making your core tightened as you loved a man who smelt good. You’d never tell him though that his cologne turned you on a little.
“It finished two weeks ago actually, I think you’re running a little behind at the moment” You joked as the pair of you pulled away and moved to the side so as to get out of the way of everyone else.
“What are you doing here?” You asked
“I really wanted to go to a carnival while I had some time off so I checked if there were any on around the place and found this one” He explained “Are you here with anyone?”
You nodded “Yeah, my aunt and her son. They’re over by the games right now” You pointed in the direction that they were in, though they were completely out of site
“I suppose you’ll be getting back to them then” Sebastian commented, and you almost thought you saw a glimpse of unhappiness at that
“Not if you don’t want me to just yet” You offered, not wanting to leave him this quickly
His eyes lit up slightly at your offer and he nodded, offering his arm “Well then, care to accompany me to the spinning tea cups?” He asked
You linked your arm with his, a large smile now appearing on your face for the second time since catching his attention tonight.
“I’d be honoured, sir” You answered, the two of you chuckling and making your way towards the children’s rides
The next few hours were spent catching up, trying every possible ride, eating sweet food and just being in each other’s company. You knew this was a bad idea because you had completely fallen for him all over again and were just going to have to leave at the end of the night and not see him again for months at a time. You both found a semi-quiet corner and sat on the grass, under a pole mounted speaker which played music.
“It’s really great to see you again (Y/N)” Sebastian said, picking at his fairy floss (cotton candy) as he spoke “It’s kinda sucked not speaking to you as often as we used to”
You felt a pang of guilt in your chest, but you didn’t say anything, leaving you both in silence as you watched the action around you. Sebastian then decided to stand up and hold out his hand towards you, a warm look on his face.
“You love this song, dance with me”
You hadn’t realized it until now but a new song had started and it was one by your favourite artist. You blushed, looking away from his outstretched hand
“There’s people here Seb” You resisted, getting shy
“So what? We’re in a dimly lit corner and they all have better things to do than watch us” He insisted
You looked up at him and slowly put your hand in his, getting up with his help and placed your other hand on his shoulder. He placed his spare hand on your waist and the warmth of his touch radiated through your shirt and into your skin. You both just stood there, swaying back and forth in a circle as you relaxed and eased into the movements.
“This would almost make our evening a date” You commented, silently prodding at the idea to see his reaction but what came next surprised you, after all the thoughts your mind had put into your head but now.
“Do you want it to be?” He asked, almost whispering
You looked up at him but continued to dance, trying to detect what he was thinking. Was he joking? Was he poking fun at you? Was he just being curious? Or, did he actually want this to be your first date?
“Do you?” You asked, cautiously
“I’d like to . . .” He admitted
Now you stopped moving, disbelief all over your face, along with hope in your eyes. Had you been just slightly less emotionally unstable you would have started crying, but you stopped yourself and took a deep breath
“If I’d known this would be a date I wouldn’t have worn the same jumper I’ve been sleeping in all week” You admitted with a small chuckle
Sebastian laughed and pulled you into a tight hug, kissing the side of your head. You hugged him back, your chest so full of happiness you could have died now and still had a smile on your face.
“I’ll give you some notice next time” He replied, pulling out of the hug all too soon for your liking “And I’ll take you somewhere they don’t serve the food out of trucks”
You smacked him lightly “Truck food is the best food” You argued
He smiled and wrapped and arm around your shoulder, both walking out of your dim corner with fairy floss buckets in tow “I have so much to show you”
Summary: You go on an expedition to find evidence of Midgard connecting to Yggdrasil, the Ash Tree connecting all nine realms, not really believing it could be totally real.
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of horrific nighmares
Word Count: 1,560
Your eyes flashed open and a gasp escaped your lips, free of what horrors had just played through your mind. Your eyes adjusted to the room around you as your chest heaved, as though you had been holding your breath before waking up. Your room was as it had been when you fell asleep, a total mess with just your armchair cleared in case Loki decided to stop by and wanted to sit down. You had been dating for a few weeks now, but hardly anyone knew, and he still tried not to sit on your bed or stay the night, out of decency for you.
Because of this, he wasn’t here right now to calm and sooth you, and as much as part of you wished he was here, the other part of you was grateful he wasn’t. You had been having these nightmares for a couple of weeks now and you didn’t want him to worry about you, much less see you in this state. The first night this started happening you were so horrified by the images and the fact that your brain could imagine them that you had thrown up the fish you had cooked that night. Then each night followed as the one before, with nightmares of varying disgust and horror waking you, a cold then hot shower and back to bed for whatever time you had left before your alarm rang.
Tonight was no different, except that this time by the time you were out of the shower it was only an hour until your alarm went off, so you decided to head to the office early. Arriving before anyone else was very uncommon for you, but you worked with a group of people who would generally keep their noses out of other people’s business. Especially yours, as you all knew that you were the least experienced and knowledgeable one in the room, but you got the impression they liked your company so it wasn’t all bad. You unlocked the door and turned on the lights, lighting the entire room instantly as though it was midday, before heading to the coffee machine on the kitchenette bench and turning it on. The coffee ground loudly and the milk frothed, mixing together to make the first of many coffees for the day.
“Morning (Y/N)!”
You jumped, almost spilling part of your coffee on the floor, and turned around to see Dr Evans walking in.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you”
“That’s alright, I was in my own little world anyway. Are we still set for midday?” You asked
She nodded, proceeding to make her first coffee for the day “Yes, the team is all packed to go, now we just need to make sure we’re not missing any information to take with us” She confirmed
The book you had all been studying for the past few weeks had given information about a location in the center of Russia that was believed to be where Midgard connected to Yggdrasil, the Ash Tree that connected all the nine realms. Of course none of you really believed that particular part of the lore, though Thor and Loki would probably swear that it existed.
The rest of your morning was spent checking and re-checking everything and packing a bag of clothes to wear because no one was sure how long they would be there for, at most a couple days you were all expecting. You still hadn’t told Loki exactly what you were doing in Russia for the next couple of days, and as if on cue he turned the corner and headed towards the Quin-jet to see you off.
“Hello darling” He greeted, quiet enough so no one else heard “Are you sure you don’t want me to accompany you?”
“I haven’t even told you if it’s Norse, it could be Greek” You replied, and that all-knowing smirk appeared on his face
“You have been studying that book none stop since you got back. It’s not going to be Greek”
He did have a point; most of the stuff we worked on was Norse as that was most obviously the immediate requirement.
“I know what’s in Russia, (Y/N)” Loki whispered, brushing his fingers against yours, respecting your wishes to keep the PDA out of public eye
“Please be careful, there are things in that cave that you don’t want to open”
You could hear the concern in his voice and right then, you totally believed that if you went deep enough you could walk out onto the branches of Yggdrasil and make your way to any of the other realms. But, even that was too farfetched right now for you to take it completely seriously and a lot of lore (specifically folklore) has been embellished over time and completely flipped on it’s head to the point where what you actually discover is probably just an unearthed gold deposit underground, or an un-natural coloured water that is totally natural for the chemicals in the area.
“That’s why we have the handbooks and all the information we can find about it. I’ll be fine, I promise” You consoled him, lifting up the very thick, ring bound handbook that your team had made.
You both said your goodbyes and you left, wishing to have given him a hug before leaving, but your mind was lead elsewhere as everyone was briefed on the area, and what we are looking for. The briefing was more for the expedition team who would be helping us gain access to the cave and stay safe in there. As you neared closer, everyone put on their heavy winter gear and goggles, wanting to make this transition of everyone and all the equipment from the Quin-jet into the cave as quick and seamless as possible with the harsh weather that was awaiting them.
The cave was still at freezing temperature for the first few kilometers in, but then it began to get warmer as we made our way down and in, lights being turned on as you went and it got darker.
“We’ll set everything up here” Dr. Newman called and everyone halted to begin unpacking the equipment and setting up their base
You kept looking ahead though, noticing a gradual change in the colour and texture of the rock for the rest of the distance you could see.
“I’m going to keep walking for a bit, I’ve got my walkie-talkie if anyone needs me” You called out, not waiting for a reply before putting one step in front of the other
The brushed your hand along the cave walls, watching your step as you walked and just so full of curiosity and adrenaline that you wanted to keep running until you either reached the end of the cave or some magical, over-exaggerated doorway. You didn’t though; you stayed calm and walked steadily until you felt something underneath your shoe, and looked down to see a small patch of fully thriving moss. You fumbled with the walkie-talkie and began speaking.
“Guys, I’ve found plant life down here. I think there’s more up ahead”
You kept walking forward, hearing them say they’d sent a team to you and to make sure not to touch anything yet. Every step you took though exposed more moss until nearly the whole floor was covered and it was climbing up the walls, to the point where you could almost swear it was turning into grass. You were holding your breath and it was only because of that did you hear dripping water, and you froze. You could definitely see how this could be considered the start of Yggdrasil.
Now you were jogging towards the sound, stopping every thirty seconds to make sure it was getting louder.
“There’s water down here guys, I can hear it”
There was no response but you assumed that was just because the team was getting close to you and they could also hear it. You weren’t sure how long you had been walking for, but it only felt like 20 minutes, which made it so peculiar when you saw a small gap in the stone and stuck your head through gasping. It was an absolutely huge reservoir that would be impossible to find the bottom of and on the roof was a tree branch the size of a double Storey house and the length of the entire space.
“Guys, I think I found it”
Still no reply. You had taken a few steps in to the space by now but didn’t dare go any further, especially as you now weren’t hearing anything from the others. You turned around to make your way back through the crack that should have been directly behind you, but there was nothing now.
“Shit. It was right here, I swear it was right here” You muttered to yourself, anxiety setting in and spiking to maximum instantly
You dropped the lamp and began feeling the wall for the entrance, walking along the whole ledge you were on in case you had moved further than you thought, but there was nothing. You were trapped. You fell to the ground crying, and unsure of how to handle this or what to do next, hating yourself for not staying with the group. Your anxiety was so high that your vision started to blur and you passed out.
You stood on the patio of a beach house, staring out into the never ending sea and occasionally seeing dolphins jump out for only a second before submerging into the water once again. Your hands ran over your heavily pregnant stomach and a smile crept onto your lips because this was exactly how you wanted your life to be. You wanted to be able to play with your children all day and not have to worry about what the next day might bring because there were no dangers on their way anymore. Earth had been saved once and for all, and the Avengers disbanded because they were of no use anymore.
You felt a pair of hands wrap around you and place themselves on your stomach, a light kick hitting one of them. You chuckled and turned around to face your husband, a smile on his lips though his face was foggy.
“Come darling, why the tears?” He asked
“I’m just so happy” You answered, wiping away the tears you didn’t know were there.
You finally saw his face clearly and gasped, it was Loki.
You bolted upright in your bed, breathing heavy and trying to register your surroundings. You saw your room, unchanged from when you had fallen asleep and felt comfort yet almost lonely at not having anyone by your side. Not having Loki by your side.
“Oh my god” You muttered, ripping the sheets off and pulling on your dressing gown
You practically ran for the bedroom door, not stopping until you reached the Avengers’ residential area. You quietly pushed the door open, seeing that no one was still awake and tip-toed to Wanda’s bedroom door. You lightly knocked so as not to wake anyone else up.
“Wanda? Are you awake?” You asked, hopeful that she was still binging one of the many shows on Netflix as she had been for the past week.
The door opened in front of you and Wanda looked wide awake, despite it being 5 o’clock in the morning.
“Please tell me you’ve slept” You said instantly and she looked at you sheepish
“Not really, this show is too good. What’s up with you? You look like you’ve seen a ghost” She replied, knitting her brows at the sight of your disheveled hair and badly wrapped dressing gown
“I think I love Loki” You blurted out and her eyes widened, grabbing your wrist and yanking you into her room, closing the door behind her
“What? What made you think that?” She asked in disbelief
“I just had a dream where I was pregnant . . . with his child” You answered, not able to look at her
“Maybe that just means you want to f-“ She tried to joke but the look on your face made her stop
“What do I do Wanda?” You asked, sitting on her desk chair and fiddling with your hands
“I don’t know. Do you want him to know?” She asked, sitting across from you, on her bed
“I think so, but I’m worried you guys will hate me for it” You admitted, not wanting to lose any of your friends
“Oh (Y/N), we could never hate you. We may not all entirely trust the guy yet but he’s done nothing wrong since living with us and we really have seen a huge change in him since you arrived” Wanda said, coming to kneel in front of you
“Tell him, he might feel the same” She offered
“But what if he doesn’t, what if it ruins our friendship?” You asked, scared that he would turn you down and never speak to you again because it would just be too awkward to be near you
“(Y/N), didn’t he just fly across the country to bring your parents here for you? Didn’t he stay the whole afternoon and evening to spend time with you? If he doesn’t have some kind of feelings for you I’ll personally go and beat the shit out of him” Wanda answered with a smile on her face
“Good morning Wanda, are we still on for train-“
You looked up at the door and saw Loki pushing the slightly ajar door open, stopping when he saw you in there as well. You quickly tried to smooth down your hair and look somewhat presentable.
“Sorry Loki, I’d forgotten all about it. Just let me get dressed and I’ll be out there is a moment” Wanda replied, hurriedly getting up and practically shoving Loki out the door and closing it properly this time.
“Oh god” You muttered, putting your head in your hands. How much had he heard?
“Tell him and stop stressing over this. Now get back to your room because I’m fairly sure you don’t want Sam seeing you like this. He’d never let you forget it” You said, a smile on her lips as she got some clothes together
You nodded, thanking her and walked out, straight past Loki and out into the hallway. Wanda may be wanting you to tell him but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. How do you tell someone you just had a dream that you were married to them and having their child? Only crazy people did that.
Days went by where you avoided Loki, cancelling all your usual lunches by using the excuse that the work was piling up when it really wasn’t. You knew he was beginning to suspect something was going on but he wasn’t asking, at least not you.
-------LOKI----------
“What’s going on with (Y/N)?” He asked, sitting at the dining table and playing with his food
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask her?” Tony replied nonchalantly, causing Loki to roll his eyes
“You don’t think I’ve tried. She’s avoiding me. Did I do something wrong?” He asked, looking around the room at the others when Wanda walked in
“Wanda! Did (Y/N) say anything to you the other night?” He asked, hopeful that she would be able to provide some advice
Wanda froze for a moment before replying “She said a lot of things, but nothing of interest”
“Then why was she here at 5 o’clock in the morning? She’s never out of bed before 8 if she can help it” Loki prodded
“She had a weird dream and needed someone to talk to” Wanda offered, hoping he wouldn’t ask anything more
“But not a bad dream? Something interesting must have happened to startle her that much” Vision said, mostly to himself as he came up beside Wanda
Loki saw Wanda shoot him a look, as if to tell him to shut up
“What was the dream about?” Steve asked, curious now
“Look it’s not for me to say. You’ll just have to either wait for her to tell you or you’ll have to find a way to talk to her. I’m not telling you anything else.” Wanda snapped a little and walked out
----------YOU----------
Your phone buzzed and you saw a text from Wanda reading ‘He’s beginning to clue on, either tell him or stop avoiding him’. You groaned and sat there, not sure how to handle the situation. You had hoped that your feelings would go away but evidently they have not.
Summary: The reader and Loki have to go and collect a very rare book in Bulgaria.

“Don’t cock this up (Y/N), we need this” Tony reminded you for the hundredth time as you pulled on your blazer and got into the Quinjet.
“Tony, it’s fine. I’ve heard this all morning, I’m pretty sure I know how important this is.” You replied, rolling your eyes and putting your harness on as they turned on the Quinjet.
“I know, but you’ve got a plus one who hasn’t spoken to the outside world in a while” He added
Suddenly you saw Loki walk out and onto the jet, sitting across from you with a smile on his face. You shot Tony a dirty look and he just raised his hands and backed away, as the doors all closed and you took off, into the sky. You looked over at Loki, smiling back at him but suddenly tense and noticing that your heartrate had suddenly increased.
“Hi, long time no see” Loki greeted
“Yeah, I’ve been really busy as you can see” You replied, you never got to do work that involved being out of the office so when you did you welcomed it
It had taken the last month but you had finally found where a specific book was being kept and your office needed it badly, even just until you could copy down and study it back to front. This book could accelerate your work more than you could imagine, so much so that you’d be able to write multiple papers on the subject.
“So where are we going?” Loki asked, getting comfortable
“We’re heading to Bulgaria where we are hoping to at least borrow a thousand year old, first edition book which will help us learn more about a specific source of power the early Norse people believed in” You explained “Why are you here anyway?”
“Stark is finally letting me go on missions but he’s still starting me off with the more mundane things. You know you can come to Thor and I about anything Norse” He explained
“Yes, but we need it all in writing to have physical writings about it and references to it. Besides going for the actual material it’s self it what we do, nothing less is good enough for some people I’ve worked with” You explained
You nodded and proceeded to go through your briefcase to ensure you had everything you needed, including a cheque book, contract, notes, pens and anything else that might be of need, including an easily concealable gun for some reason. Jesus Christ Stark, you thought to yourself, shaking your head and closing it all up again. He was always expecting the absolute worst of every scenario, when in actual fact it was probably a frail old man who loves his ancient history and folklore that had this book.
You suddenly saw what Loki was wearing and it probably wasn’t the best choice of outfit for this venture. He was wearing a pair of suit pants, collared shirt and leather jacket and all in all he didn’t look too bad, you even caught yourself biting your lip as you looked him up and down. For today’s work though it was a bit too rough so you unbuckled your harness and stood up to reach into one of the overhead compartments which usually held some spare changes of clothes. You reached in and pulled out a plain knit sweater before throwing it at Loki without looking.
“Switch the leather out for this, we don’t want to scare the poor man” You commented, secretly not wanting him to take the jacket off. It seemed to be somewhat of a turn on for you which surprised you a little.
“But you don’t mind it” Loki replied, cheekily
This caused you to blush and hide your face from his view as you closed the compartment up.
“Well it’s definitely not a bad look” You admitted, not able to look at him as you spoke
You heard him chuckle and cursed yourself for being so attracted to him, even though things always felt comfortable with him. At least they used to, before you starting hiding from him. The rest of the flight was in silence as you continued working on your laptop which was communicating with the office at the Avengers facility. You arrived in Bulgaria and were driven to the address you had been provided, being greeted by a grand building which looked as though it was both the home of Mr Aleksandur Dobrev and a public viewing gallery of old works. You both walked inside, the bell on the door notifying those that could hear that you had just entered. In front of and around you was collections of old books, tapestries, paintings and sculptures. All of which were Bulgarian, with a select few other cultures scattered around the place.
From behind a curtain, out walked a plump old lady with strands of hair falling out of her crocheted hairnet which sat high up on her head. She looked a little out of breath but still very composed and by her posture it seemed as though she was the person to speak to if you had any questions.
“Zdraveĭte, kak moga da vi pomogna?” She asked in Bulgarian
You cleared your throat and spoke slowly so as not to botch up what you were trying to say “Zdraveĭte, imam sreshta s Aleksandŭr Dobrev. Az sŭm (Y/N) (Y/L/N)” You tried to say, asking for Mr Dobrev
She looked you both up and down before nodding and scurrying back behind the large curtain and obviously down a hall somewhere to collect the man. You looked over your shoulder at Loki and just shrugged before heading over to look at the old books that were on display. They were all in glass display cabinets and in surprisingly good condition for how old they looked, but you were looking for a specific book.
“Miss (Y/L/N), it is wonderful to meet you at last”
You looked up and saw a middle aged man walking towards you, cheerily. He was considerably younger than you had expected and it did catch you off guard as from your research this man should be about to turn 87.
“Mr Dobrev?” You asked, cautiously and he nodded, taking your hand and shaking it gently
“By the look on your face I believe you were expecting my father, also Aleksandur Dobrev” He said, voicing my curiosity
You nodded chuckling a little, shaking his hand
“It would seem so, either way it is lovely to meet you too. This is my colleague Loki” You introduced Loki and the pair shook hands, locking eyes for a brief moment before releasing their grips
“Loki? Like the Norse God?” Aleksandur asked and you held your breath, waiting for Loki’s reply
“Yes, my parents were very into their folklore and legends. They are who gave me my love for the legends” Loki confirmed and you let out a silent breath, grateful he didn’t decide to voice that he was the one and only Loki that all the stories were about.
The pleasantries continued as you were both guided by Aleksandur to a back room which was much smaller but it’s contents was much more valuable. Inside were books you had only heard about, and spoke of things you had never heard of before or ever seen in such detail. You were lost of words and couldn’t help but just look around the room in awe.
“Here is the book we have been talking about together” Aleksandur announced, snapping you out of your haze and you looked over to where he was standing in front of the very book you were looking for.
“It’s amazing, and in such good condition” You commented, going and standing in front of it “How much?” You asked, eager to take it with you and study every word of it
“More than you have. My father spent his life building up this collection, this book specifically” Aleksandur said and your heart sunk
“There must be something we can give you, even just to study it for a period of time and return it” You pushed, there was no way you were going to have come out here for nothing
“Well you could do this one favor for me and I will let you hold onto it for one month” He hesitated, looking over at you
“What is it?” You offered
“It’s quite trivial . . .” Aleksandur evaded but there was no way I was leaving here without this book
“There is this secret society who have invited me to an initiation test but it’s frowned upon if you show up without a partner. I just need a date for the night and it will cement my placement within them” He explained
That was it? This grown ass man needed a date to prove he was worthy to hang with the cool kids?
“It’s a deal” You agreed, what’s the worst that could happen?
You arrived at the office the next morning with Dr Newman already there and bent over his work.
“Good morning (Y/N), thanks again for last night. It seem someone else is also grateful” He said, only pointing his pen at your desk
You turned to your desk confused when you saw your favourite flowers in a glass vase and a note at the base. You walked over and picked up the note in curiosity, it didn’t say who it was from but you had a sneaking suspicion it was Loki as there was an emerald green satin ribbon around the vase. You looked down and read the note; in cursive writing it said ‘You’re right, I should have trusted you. I’m sorry’. You huffed and moved the vase onto a nearby surface so you could begin your work. If Loki thought a vase of flowers was going to make you forgive him, he had another thing coming. Your day went on as normal until Wanda poked her head into the office and you looked up, smiling to greet her
“Hey, what’s up?” You asked
“Can you meet me at the southern balcony once you finish for the day? I have some huge news to tell you” She said, barely standing still with excitement
“Can’t you just tell me now?” You asked, confused
Wanda shook her head “Nope, straight after work meet me there. You won’t regret it” She said, leaving before you could say anything else
What on Earth did she want to tell you? In the time you had gotten to know her it wasn’t normal for her to set a specific time or place to tell you some big news. You racked your brain for any kind of idea as to what she could be thinking, but when nothing came to mind you went back to your work. The end of the day came sooner than you had expected and casting one last look at the flowers you left for the day and headed straight to the southern balcony as per Wanda’s request.
You turned the corner and walked out onto the balcony, not looking up from your phone when you heard a very familiar voice speak.
“It’s nice to see you too”
You looked up in shock to see your mother standing there with a teasing grin on her face and hands on her hips. She was joined by your father and their two dogs, who were sniffing around the unfamiliar space. Your face broke into a huge smile and you ran over, hugging her so tightly that you thought she might break, being the tiny woman she was. Your parents both laughed and hugged you back, your father wrapping his arms around both of you.
“What are you doing here?” You asked, your eyes welling with tears of joy
“Your friend here, asked us to come. He said you’ve missed us quite a lot” Your father explained, nodding to a figure standing a few meters away from you
You turned around and saw Loki standing there in jeans and a button up, his hands behind his back and his head down, worried you were still mad at him. You took the steps to stand in front of him and without any kind of warning you wrapped your arms around him in a hug.
“Thank you Loki” You whispered into his chest
He wrapped his arms around you after the initial shock and whispered back to you
“This is why I did what I did. You mentioned missing your parents and the weekly barbeque so I thought I’d do this for you” He explained, stepping back and gesturing to the barbeque and the food ready to be cooked
You looked back up at Loki and couldn’t think of anyone else who had ever done this for you. He had seen you when you desperately missed your parents and comforted you, never saying anything to suggest he would do anything about it. Yet, he was standing in front of you after going to all this trouble and even facing up to your father who had no doubt automatically given the man a pile of questions to answer, assuming the pair of you were an item. You grabbed Loki’s hand and squeezed it, the smile still on your lips
“Stay. It would mean a lot to me” You said, only just loud enough for your parents to hear, who were both watching the pair of you
“Yes, please do Loki. It’s the least we can do after you went through all this trouble” Your mother agreed, insisting he stay
Loki didn’t look away from you though and a smile formed on his lips, nodding and following you to the chairs to grab a drink from the jug that was out, and your father headed for the barbeque.
The rest of the afternoon and into the night the four of you sat, shared stories and Loki got to know your parents and vice versa. It wasn’t until it started getting chilly that your parents decided it was time for them to get to bed.
“I’ll stay back and clean up, you all go have a good night’s sleep” Loki offered, standing and collecting all the dirty dishes
“Thank you Loki, you’re a good man” Your father said, shaking his hand
“Yes, it was lovely to meet you” You mother agreed, giving him a peck on the cheek which sent Loki pink
“I’ll stay and help, I’ll see you both off in the morning” You said, kissing them both on the cheek and saying goodnight
Once they were gone, with the dogs in tow, you began helping Loki clean up.
“You really don’t have to” Loki insisted
“Loki, after what you’ve just done for me I can’t thank you enough. I really needed this. So, if I can at least repay you by helping you clean up then I will” You said, smiling fondly at him
He nodded and the two of you continued, taking the dirty dishes to the Avengers kitchen to clean up. Most of the others were in bed now but Bucky and Sam were both still up, watching a movie and only looked away to greet you before their attention was back on the TV.
“I can clean them up, you need to get to bed” Loki said, stopping your hands from reaching for the tap to begin cleaning
“Okay” You said, giving in
This earnt a smile from Loki, who was still looking down at you. You looked back up at him, not removing your hands from his and ever so slowly you stood on your toes and kissed his cheek. You stood back on the balls of your feet and saw that the God of Mischief was, for once, lost for words. You giggled and pulled your hands form him
“I forgive you, over and above” Were your last words before saying goodnight to Bucky and Sam, whom you just got grunts from, and left to go back to your own room.
You felt on cloud nine as you reached your room, turning the shower on and getting undressed. It wasn’t until you were about to get in that you realized you had been dancing the whole time you were in your room. You were dancing the very same dance you choreographed, that won you your first National trophy for ballroom.
LOKI’S P.O.V
I was stuck there, watching you leave, with the feeling of your lips on my cheek still there. As soon as the door was closed behind you Bucky and Sam paused the movie and jumped over the back of the couch and towards me.
“So I take it things went well” Sam teased, nudging me slightly
“More than he was expecting, by the looks of it” Bucky said, chuckling slightly
“I just wanted to do something nice . . . She’s . . .” I trailed off, not able to finish
“She’s amazing. Don’t screw things up like you almost did” Bucky finished, quite stern now
I nodded and they both went back to their movie, while I washed the dishes. Your family was amazing and so welcoming, they could see I wasn’t the same man from what they had seen on the news and they took a chance. There was no way I was going to let myself screw this up, especially not now.

You had sent Loki on his way back to the facility with the book so the others could begin their work on it, despite his many protests at leaving you defenseless in another country. You honestly found it endearing and appreciated his concern, not to mention that your heart fluttered every time he mentioned protecting you and keeping you safe. With all that done now, you were stood alone in a guest room and wearing a maroon silk dress and a pair of heels Aleksandur had someone pick out for you.
You heard a knock on the door and you turned away from the full length mirror in front of you and looked towards the door “Come in!” you called, collecting a faux fur shawl that had also been supplied
In walked Aleksandur, wearing a tailored black suit with a black button up shirt and grey tie neatly tied around his neck.
“You look stunning” He commented, walking over and admiring you
It made you flush with embarrassment and look away as you collected your clutch and a few small items for the night.
“Thank you, whoever chose this all has very lovely and very expensive taste” You replied, complementing the stranger who had been sent out to collect all these items “I’ll be sure to have it all cleaned before returning it to you”
“They are your’s, keep them” He said, smiling and chuckling a little “I have no one else who would wear them” He insisted
You stood there agape at the offer, this outfit totaling six months of full time work at least and he was just going to hand it to you.
“I-I really can’t. Are you sure?” You asked, expecting him to be joking and actually want all items back by the end of the night
“Yes Miss (Y/L/N), I’m sure.” He confirmed “Now come along, we don’t want to be late” He ordered, not looking at you again before turning on his heels and heading for the exit
You scurried along to catch up with him, while holding a fist full of fabric in one hand so as not to trip, and your clutch in the other, which held nothing but a few notes and your phone. You walked towards the back of the manor and outside to where a black 1961 250 GT California Spyder Ferrari waited for them. My God this man had expensive taste, something he obviously got from his father from what you could tell. You both got in the front and he drove off, the sun just setting on the horizon and casting a warm, soft glow over everything it could touch, the light shining into the car’s interior and giving your skin a sun kissed glow and warming your bare arms.
You’d never given Bulgaria much thought, but as you sat in the quiet car and watched the world go past you could definitely imagine yourself coming here for holidays, alone, with friends or with a loved one. Someone like Loki. You blushed at the thought of being on holiday with Loki, with not a care in the world except what to have for your next meal and where to visit next.
The car ride passed in silence, with the occasional conversation for the full 22 minutes it took to get to the destination and when you arrived you were greeted by a very modern looking villa, with windows on ever floor and wall which allowed all the natural light to fill the interior at any time of day. You both got out of the car, a valet taking the keys from Aleksandur and taking the car to wherever it was to be parked. Up the set of stairs to the main door you could hear voices from inside and as soon as you were about to reach the door it was opened for you by another man in a similar uniform to what the valet wore.
Inside you saw a group of about 10 men and a few women stood off to the side with a glass of champagne in their hands, whispering to each other.
“Mr. Dobrev, I’m so glad you could make it”
You saw an elderly man walk over and greet him with a friendly hug and a kiss on each cheek before turning to you “And who is this?” He asked
“Mr. Vankov, this is (Y/N) my plus one” Aleksandur answered
Mr. Vankov licked his lips and pulled you in and kissed both cheeks, leaving them wet and cold to the air. You didn’t dare wipe your cheeks though so as not to disrespect or insult him and instead greeted him with a smile.
“It’s wonderful to meet you” You greeted him, a look shared between the two men
“And you, my dear” He replied, grabbing a glass of champagne and a napkin off a nearby waiter’s tray and handed them to you “Come, meet my wife Nadia”
You took the champagne flute and napkin, dabbing your cheeks when he couldn’t see so as to get rid of any remaining saliva. The group of women opened up from their little circle to greet you all, pleasantries exchanged and before you knew it Aleksandur and Mr. Vankov has both disappeared and you were stood alone with these strangers. Your palms began getting a little sweaty with nervousness and you took a sip of the champagne, which you assumed was expensive.
“So, how do you know Mr. Dobrev?” Nadia asked
“I’ve done some work with him recently. I’m actually loaning one of his Norse books at the moment” You explained
Nadia nodded and then turned to the other women, continuing with the previous conversation they had obviously been having before being introduced to you. You just stood there taking sips of your drink until it was nearly empty and gazing around the room at all the people that were here. You attention was drawn to Mr. Vankov tapping his glass with a small silver tea spoon and clearing his throat.
“Now that everyone is here it is time to proceed with the initiation of Mr. Aleksandur Dobrev” He announced, motioning for one of the employees.
Around you the glass windows were being closed with light blocking curtains and a trolley was rolled out in front of Mr. Vankov. The trolley had a piece of cloth covering items spread out over the surface, the only thing you could make out was a glass or cup of some kind you were guessing. The fabric was suddenly removed and your heart began to race with panic and uncertainty. Underneath the fabric was a goblet, an encrusted knife and an ancient looking book, opened to a certain page and a red leather bookmark in place so as not to lose the page.
“Mr. Dobrev, please step forward and recite the oath” Mr. Vankov beckoned
Aleksandur stepped forward, took the book in his hands and began reciting something in Bulgarian you couldn’t understand, only knowing the basics of the language. He finished reciting and placed the book back down on the trolley, stepping back.
“And now for the offering” Mr. Vankov called and looked over at you
Aleksandur walked over to you and grabbed your elbow tightly, yanking you towards the old man. You dug your heels in and tried to stay where you were, not wanting to be any closer to any of these freaks. You tried pulling away and towards the front door, towards freedom by Alexsandur’s grip was too tight then out of nowhere from behind you, you felt some kick the back of your knee and you fell towards the ground, dropping the champagne flute and t smashed onto the floor underneath you. You were now being dragged across the cold tiled floor, falling partially onto the broken glass and cutting your leg with it, screaming as it got stuck in there. A small trail of blood followed you to the base of the trolley but even once you reached it the grip from your elbow was not removed. All the men around you started walking forward and you thrashed and wriggled as much as you could to stay away from them, dreading what they were about to do. Rather than reaching for you though, they all reached around their necks and pulled out matching or similar pendants and placed them into the goblet that was just above your head.
“Her hand” Mr. Vankov ordered
Aleksandur grabbed your wrist and pulled it up and over the goblet, knocking your head into the trolley and dazing you for a few moments.
“Please no!” You finally spoke, “I’ll do anything just please let me go” You begged, tears streaming down your face from the moment Aleksandur’s hand grabbed you “I’ll give you whatever you want”
“This is what we want” One of the men answered “This is what we need”
You felt a searing pain in your palm and looked up through tear soaked eyes to see blood pouring out of your palm and the encrusted knife in Mr. Vankov’s hand. The blood was going into the goblet where all the pendants currently were. You cried out in pain and thrashed, kicking and screaming at whatever and whoever, you were trying anything and everything you could think of to get away bit it was no use. The grip on your hand was so tight that it was already swelling and bruising and if you twisted it the wrong way it very easily could be sprained or dislocated.
“Someone shut her up!” Mr. Vankov yelled over your voice
You felt someone move behind you and you spun around to try to kick them by they had walked away towards a nearby surface. Instead, someone grabbed your other arm and tried to hold at least your top half in place. The first man walked back over to you with a cloth in his hand, you wriggled and twisted your head to keep it away from him, able to guess the cloth had chloroform soaked into it. It was no use though; the man grabbed your jaw and forced you to face him, pressing the cloth to your face.
You’d always thought in movies that when this happened the person in trouble should have just held their breath and either faked going unconscious or fought for just a little longer. Now that you were in this situation though you were panicking so much you couldn’t think straight and just wanted to wriggle away and breathe in clean air, in doing this though all you breathed in was the soaked cloth.
Your eyes started drooping when the door was suddenly burst open with an explosion and everyone dropped what they were doing, including the three men who were practically on top of you to hold you still. You fell to the floor coughing and gasping and looked over at the door to see Steve, Wanda and Loki all running towards the people in the room. Through all the commotion the trolley had been knocked onto you, your blood from the cup now dripping down your body and soaking your clothes. You didn’t notice though, you just had one thought in your head and that was to go to sleep. You didn’t care who was here or what they were doing; you just laid down, closed your eyes and went to sleep.
