And last one for today so you couldn't accuse me of spamming you with request. 😎
Altair/Shay/Edward or other character of your choice and their s/o coming home with bruises all over her because she was attacked and beaten up (for not assassin/templar significant other).
🔪
I know it took me so so so long but I wrote so many versions and then deleted them. But finally it's here. Done. Written.
Tbh I had so much fun with Edward because... Yeah I see him doing something like this lol. Thank you for your request and your patience!
Altaïr
You fixed your shawl, trying to hide your bruised face while walking through the corridors of Masyaf Castle. You wanted to quickly reach your room and hide there, with the hope that no one would see you, passing like a shadow. Only there you could cry in peace and cover the bruises on your face. No one could see your tears.
Unfortunately, your room happened to be shared with the Mentor of the Brotherhood, who surprisingly, was waiting inside for you. There was a flower in his hand, probably a little gift he planned to give you. As soon as the door closed behind you he turned around and a smile that was on his face turned into a worried expression. He hurried to your side and put down the shawl that covered your hair and face. And the second he saw your black eye, cut lip, swollen, red cheek… he knew what happened. The anger flowed through his body as all he wanted to do was to finally kill the man that hurt you like that. He knew exactly who did this, a person he had been too indulgent for. And now not only he was paying the price, but you also became a victim of his hatred.
“I should have killed him when I had the opportunity” he growled, taking your hand in his and leading you to the bed. He made you sit and disappeared for a second to fetch some water and clean towels. Maybe he would also grab some medicine? You hoped so because your lip stung like hell.
As much as he wanted to punish the man and free the land from the filth of his existence, he had to take care of you first.
“It’s not your fault,” you assured when he came back.
Without a single word, he kneeled beside you and immediately took care of your wounds, cleaning them and making sure no bone was broken in your body. Fortunately, no stitches were needed for your lip that should heal on its own. You looked at him, noticing every trace of anger and guilt he felt. His lips were turned into a thin line, this gaze fixated on his hands, his brows frowned. You knew how worried he was so you grabbed his hand, forcing him to look at you.
“All of it will heal and become just a memory. And soon you’ll prove to them that you are the best Mentor in the history of Assassins.”
“I couldn’t care less about their opinions y/n! But I care for you, what if there will be next time? What if he will kill you? I can’t lose you, I can’t do it all without you by my side I-” his voice broke, so he needed a second to take a deep breath. He rose to his feet only to sit next to you and close you in his embrace.
No more words were needed as you knew what he felt at that moment. You also were afraid, your face hurt and the world seemed to be against your love. But at the same time, you were utmost certain that Altair would never ever let anyone hurt you ever again. And something inside told you that the person who hurt you soon will face a punishment.
Shay
“I’m not hungry” she shouted through the closed door, when Shay asked you for dinner.
You were hungry, you wanted to see him but you couldn’t. There was a big bruise on your face, obvious proof of the punch you received earlier when you were in the town.
The man that punched you was a local thug and you accidentally became his victim, only because you wore a nice dress and a necklace that Shay gave you for your birthday. But now your dress was torn, necklace gone and you couldn’t look at yourself in the mirror. Fortunately, it was only a black eye that would disappear in a few days… maybe weeks but you still felt bad about… everything. You didn’t want to show yourself in a state like this to Shay. You knew well that he would be so worried! And he had enough on his plate already with all the assassin hunting, looking for the precursor box and rest of his important, templar job. You didn’t know the details because, as Shay said, it would put you in grave danger, but it looked like with your luck, your existence itself put you in danger. How unlucky you could be?
You lay down on the bed in Shay’s cabin. You were looking forward to this trip, it was the first time Shay took you with himself and yet you ended up like this. A deep sigh escaped your lips as you rolled over on your stomach and closed your eyes. The slow, steady rocking of the ship made you feel sleepy. After all, you deserved a rest and sleep was helping with healing… that's what Shay had been telling you whenever he ended up wounded.
Just as you were to fall into the arms of Morpheus the door suddenly opened and Shay entered the cabin.
"It's fine if you don't want to eat with the crew, but you can't starve-" he broke off abruptly.
"What the fuck happened?!" He almost dropped the tray with the soup as he ran to your side.
"I hit myself" you muttered but Shay knew better. Grabbing your face in his warm hands he looked at the bruise. He saw it so so many times, not only at his own face but at the faces of all the people he beat into a bloody mess.
"Who did this, y/n?" His voice was calm but it was only a surface of the ocean of anger boiling inside of him. You saw the fire in his eyes.
"I don't know. Some man just...I guess he really wanted that necklace," you muttered, ashamed that you lost that present. You didn't know the real value of it but for you it was priceless and the thought that it wasn't sitting on your neck was hurting you. And Shay knew about it.
"Y/n, my love. Just tell me when and where it happened. And how he looked. I promise I'll get your necklace back."
And you told him.
Right after Shay left the cabin, ordering Gist to bring you an ointment for your black eye.
You waited.
And waited.
And with every hour that passed you were getting more and more anxious and worried. What if something happened? What if that man hurt Shay? What if there was an assassin hiding in the plain sight?!
Just when your anxiety reached its highest the door to the cabin opened and Shay entered with a wide smile plastered to his face. He gave you the necklace that was stolen from you earlier.
"He will never hurt anyone ever again. And you will get a few fighting lessons so you know at least where to kick scums like that."
With a smile he helped you put on the necklace and since she was so close… he started to kiss your neck, after all now he deserved a little reward.
Edward
The hit to your jaw left it hurting like a bitch, so you just turned around ready to storm out of the pub, only to crash with Edward. You raised your eyes only to quickly get past him.
But before you could make a step further Kenway grabbed your arm and looked at your face. The cheek was already turning red.
"Lass, better hide yourself,"he said, before grabbing a nearby chair and throwing it at the man who had hurt you.
With that the whole pub turned into a mess, blood spilling everywhere as pirates, sailors and soldiers started to fight. Musicians and women escaped as far as they could, some passers-by stopped whatever they were doing to see the fight. Some started to shout, cheering at the fighting crowd until after a few minutes the victory was on Edward's side.
He was bloody and proud, with a wide smile on his face. He grabbed a bottle of beer, one that somehow survived the fight, emptied it and smashed it on the floor. We walked straight to you and grabbed you by your arm, leading you away from the shambles.
"You wrecked them"
"They deserved it, lass. No one will touch my woman."
He was so confident even if the blood from his nose painted his teeth red. He spat on the ground and finally sat down when you reached the jackdaw. Some of his crewmates were already curious what happened but he ordered them to focus on the ship, while you went to fetch some water to clear his wounds.
"You didn't have to do this. Look at you all bloody. Tomorrow you will complain about the pain and everything."
Edward seemed to be unmoved as you pulled you closer, so you could sit on his lap.
"I don't care about those assholes. They hit you so it was only fair for me to wreck them and turn them into bloody shit."
"You enjoyed it far too much"
"Damn right I did, y/n"
I commited a crime lolol
