Walks in the streets arm in arm; entering vintage and old shops to buy a record or two, some old books that are going to stay unread, forgotten on a shelf; drinking tea together; slow kissing by the fire; reading poetry and quotes to each other; visiting a new art exposition; watching that film again, lines known by heart; feet touching on the sofa, both immersed in a book; decorating for autumn as rain is pouring and leaves are falling (but actually waiting for Christmas); drinking good wine in the kitchen, cooking together; matching jumpers and cardigans; running on crunchy leaves; loving each other softly.

I recall him opening his arms for me under a street lamp. It was cold and dark. It was 7 pm I think. I was to go so we embraced for a goodbye. I hugged him. I loved him under a moonlight on a cold night. I loved him under a street lamp in a soft forehead kiss.

He was soft and gentle. And he smiled at me. And God knows how a smile can feel religious sometimes.

But it ended. Abruptly in a silent cry.

It's bearable. I've always wanted to be someone filled with love stories. How picturesque it is to be a man of darkness with a soft past.

Last days of Winter.

Today, the wind had the sweet and sparkling smell of Spring. My lips are burned from the still cool wind and my skin reddened under the first slightly warm sun.

Hello! Thank you so much, I try to keep this blog as cosy and welcoming as possible

I read quite a lot, I think, so it's hard to give you only a few titles of my favourite books (also because my taste is continuosly evolving and so they are not always the same). But I would say that two of my absolute favourite books are Frankenstein by Mary Shelly (my absolute favourite classic if you ask me) and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. L'Etranger by Albert Camus is also another book that I absolutely love: I've already read three times and each time I notice new nuances.

Ok, I feel like this answer is becoming a list of recommandations rather than my favourite readings, I'm sorry!

BUT, if you're interested in French literature I would also recommend Le Feu Follet by Pierre Drieu La Rochelle: it's a novel that perfectly captures the sense of confusion and loss of values in the period between the two World Wars.

Other authors that I adore are Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Alessandro Baricco (even though I haven't read as much as I'd like to), Ian McEwan, Leigh Bardugo (especially the Six of Crows duology).

Oh, I also really enjoyed Circe by Madeline Miller (and I haven't got to read The Song of Achilles yet).

It's a lot, I'm sorry. But if you're interested I could go on longer with more titles!
