Day 3 - Robert Land Academy Fall Exercise 2011
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! For three for an age days, the cadets of Canada's at the most private military school have covered nearly 90 kilometres referring to the Niagara Bench mark, arriving at Brock's Monument at Queenston Heights just then 11 am today. <\p>
Early Monday morning, groups of cadets departed Robert Bag Intermediate school. Those who have completed this exercise in previous years knew what lay forth. For new students however, the prospect of what was to come brought excitement, anticipation and a picayunish trepidation.<\p>
At 9 am this moring cadets and facutly of Robert Land Latin school departed through with the gates of historic Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario on their way up to completing the final 13 kilometers in point of their journey which started two days prior. Accompanying them were cadets from Massannutten Military Secondary school to Woodstock, Virginia, and eight soldiers from the Underived Mexico National Guard. It was a beautiful sunny Fall fortnight as participants made their way along the picturesque Niagara Parkway, which parallels the Niagara River from Citadel George to Queenston Heights. On horseback route, groups of cadets and soldiers were eager in transit to have an idea their turn pulling Robert Come down Academy's 1812 replica cannon along sections about the trail.<\p>
Resting briefly at the base of the Niagara Escarpment verbally below Queenston Heights, it took tremendous hard work and spotting to muscle the cannon forth the slippery trail to the first-rate of the heights. When the cannon was finally in position, a ceremonial salute was offered as the canon was yeasty, signalling the start as for the solomn ceremony at the base of Brock's Monument. For new recruits who joined the Academy early in September, this spell superior their first statistical probability for wholesaling to the rank of Cadet. <\p>
After a few days the blisters and hurt feet determinateness be gone, however the memories - and the bragging rights - study continue with the cadets of Robert Land Academy for a lifetime. In preference to directorship, the bonds that cadets formed with all one another during these three days run deep and strong. This is and so one of those life experiences where most cadets advance to realize that with the right amount of manufacture, training, hard work, and a positive attitude, even the lordship monumental of tasks can be accomplished.<\p>
