Merry December 25th everyone! I hope you all are doing as well as can be expected! The gift this year is recolors of Skell's no-ear, no-ep-necessary version of the Happy Holidays elf hat! Fun times! Rant at the end! :)
As noted in the preview picture above, the hats come in my usual variety of clothing colors (1), in order to match the elf outfits I recolored etc a few years ago (2). Now with an updated mesh! There's also a fixed version of Skell's maxis-match colors that I highly recommend downloading! :)
All recolors as Individual Files: http://simfil.es/5136880/
All recolors packaged into THREE Files: http://simfil.es/5136877/
Updated Skell recolors: http://simfil.es/5135878/
The preview picture and swatches are included with all downloads. Reminder: I own nothing so you can't sell it. :)

Right. Ok. Rant time!!! Oh boy oh boy.
First of all, I love all of the fantastic things Skell has created. I am very thankful for all of the hard work put into making this lovely mesh in particular. HOWEVER. This mesh and its associated recolors had a few... issues that I wasn't sure I was technically adept enough to fix.
First: there were no teen female recolors. The mesh was there, the recolors were not.
After many, many bouts of procrastination, I finally asked for help with the first problem, and it was solved by the fantastic, lovely, incredibly helpful Theraven over on Garden of Shadows (1r) (because I was too cowardly to figure out how to pick through the many, MANY pieces of the accessory recolor file in order to figure out how to add in a teen female recolor).
That part completed, I merrily went and did all the recoloring and sorting. And then, luckily, I noticed that the adult male mesh looked weird in body shop. So I went to the game. And noticed it wasn't moving with the head like all the other meshes. It just sort of... floated there. In mid-air. Almost like it wasn't attached to the head.
I was not happy. But I have done a tiny bit of mesh manipulation in my time. So after a LOT of whining, I went about poking at both the mesh and the recolor. I did manage to figure out it was missing a skeleton, but even after I fixed that, it STILL wasn't working! Cue more whining.
And so I turned to the search engines, and would you believe it was DuckDuckGo that surfaced the VERY helpful ModTheSims forum thread describing how to fix (of all things) a floating glass eye. So, thank you so much simmer22 for teaching me how to attach accessories to joints! With a little comparison to the female mesh, I was FINALLY able to attach the adult male mesh to the adult male head!
It took me ~2 days of work to do the recolors. It took me ~2 MONTHS from the start of the active procrastination to the finish of this project in its entirety. The ONLY reason I finally bit the bullet and finished this recolor was that, by the time I noticed the major issues with it, I could not think up ANY other holiday-themed project that I could conceivably finish in time to post on December 25th. ;;;>.>
