“1... 2... 3...”
It might have been juvenile to play hide and seek at their age, but after some lengthy persuasion and wearing him down, Flat had managed to do the unimaginable. Out in the snow, bundled from head to toe, Waver had hidden himself behind a tree to count to ten. To anyone observing, the two teenagers might have looked like they were in an ordinary game of hide and seek, but really, both of them had gathered enough snowballs to prepare for battle. All Waver had to do was give Flat a ten second start to hide, and then —
“...10! Come out wherever you are, Flat!” Hopefully, that wouldn’t have been taken literally. Kinda of defeated the purpose of their ridiculous game, but maybe if it did end short then Waver could cozy up back in his dorm with some studying.
