favorite line(s) from any grishaverse book? you know, i keep a mental list of all my favorite closing lines in literature, and i have to say, one that lives on there rent-free is “they lived an ordinary life, full of ordinary things. if love can ever be called that.” beautiful. i know there are more, but i don’t have my own copies of the books yet so i can’t look them up. i’m sure i’ll bookmark more whenever i do the reread i hope to do!

send a character or ship and I’ll give you a song (for Nina): so something to know about me is i can only hold a very finite and small amount of music in my head at a time and i am very bad at keeping up with it/listening to new things/even listening to old things often. That being said, my first thought was Fight Song by Rachel Platten. My girl Nina is definitely a fighter. I also just checked out several spotify playlists people have made for Nina and multiple people used How to Be A Heartbreaker by Marina and the Diamonds (who I’m just now learning is only known as MARINA now). I’m obsessed with that as a Nina song, yes. And then my joke answer was gonna be Break Your Little Heart by All Time Low, because Heartrender! (Although Break Your Little Heart usually just reminds me of Claudio from Much Ado About Nothing, who Nina would definitely crush like a bug.)

what’s your favorite brotp and why? To be honest, all of the Crows as a friendship crew are my favorite. Is that cheating? Probably, but the sass, the banter, the drama, none of it is complete without all the competing dynamics of each crow with the others in there. I’m especially recalling Jesper & Kaz, Jesper & Inej, and Matthias’ grudging tolerance of the others turning into real fondness. “What’s the best way to kill someone?” *other crows list types of murder* Matthias: “You’re all terrible.” Classic.

💰: what would be your greatest strength during a heist? your worst weakness? 

Ooooh this is so hard. I guess my greatest weakness is that I’m shy, so charming people with a good cover story would maybe not come too naturally to me, and I could be easily scared off. BUT I also did theatre in high school and didn’t ever have stage fright, so maybe if I looked at it as being in-character onstage, I could be charming. Oooh maybe I’d be the chameleon of the heist group, because I could blend in and play different characters and that would be how I’d avoid panicking and blowing everyone’s cover! I like that.

🖌: any grishaverse fic or fanart you want to write/create or are currently working on? 

Not currently planning anything, but I would like to make a Nina moodboard that does not have red as the main theme color, just because I think it’d be a cool challenge to capture her character without using her iconic color. I haven’t been grabbed by any good hints of missing scenes that I could write from the books yet, which is usually where I start with fic ideas, I love a Missing Moment fic. Maybe on my next reread I’ll be inspired! My unpopular ship opinions, by the way, are that my otps are Nina/Inej (bi pirate wives, otp: little rescues) and Alina/Mal. So I’d love to try writing some Ninej pining and maybe post-canon Malina and their simple life together. The grishaverse is just all friends to lovers ships for me tbh and it’s lovely

Have you been having any nice daydreams recently? Any nice nightdreams?

Hello anon, I’m sorry I keep forgetting to answer this. How thoughtful of you to ask! I have lots of night dreams but lately they tend to be a jumbled sequence of events that I forget as soon as I wake up, so I just have the vaguest recollection. Like the last one, I was on some kind of retreat, but it was also a fantasy world with a castle on a cloud in the far distance, and the people were various amalgamations of people from various stages of my life. And there was some sort of quest? See, very vague. I don’t even know. And then I also recently dreamed that I was on tumblr reblogging a new gifset from my favorite webseries. I think my subconscious is just trying to entertain itself! As far as daydreams, I guess I just think about places I want to go and people I want to meet when it’s safe again. And internet crushes, since I haven’t been able to meet any irl crushes in a long time. I’m sorry this isn’t very interesting, but I hope you enjoyed it! What do you dream of, if you feel like sharing? I hope you’re safe and well! <3

😍: who’s your favorite character & why?

I just recently finally read King of Scars, and I think that cemented that my favorite character is Nina. She’s so strong and brave and positive in the face of injustice and tragedy, and I’m still over the moon that she’s canon bi!!!! I love her. (and of course I adore Inej, as well. and then literally everyone else is tied for third because they’re all too good!)

💔: grishaverse scene that hit you worst in the feels?

Oh, so so many. I definitely cried a couple times reading Crooked Kingdom. Maybe just the end of Crooked Kingdom in general, my heart!

🎥: what about the shadow and bone tv series are you most excited for?

I’m just really excited to see the grisha world come alive visually. And to re-familiarize myself with the events of the first trilogy. It’s been a long while since I’ve read it and I want to do a reread, but experiencing the story and characters again through the show will also be really cool. I’m excited to see if and how my perspective might change from jumping into the grishaverse from the beginning for a second time!

Did you by any chance ever watch the 90s Nancy Drew tv show? I haven't watched it in years, but I loved it as a kid. It was pretty good.

No, actually, I didn’t know there was one! I have the DVD set of the 1930s film adaptations but that’s the only live action version I’ve seen apart from the Emma Roberts movie. I’ll have to look into the 90s show, sounds fun! :)
