Ace full name is Acier but he’s just normally called Ace just to tell the difference between her and Acier
Ace’s appearance always seemed not unique at all, just something i created in the heat of a moment..? Well thanks to lovely genshin impact a burst of inspiration has come along and changing Ace from wearing pants to shorts, shoes to sandals is mainly because i wasn’t touching on the fact that he is a Silva, not a Vermillion, and his appearance was base most only the Vermillion fashion, despite his cold color palette.
AND THATS WHY I REDESIGNED HIS OUTFIT
Also if you notice what pose i referenced you get a golden star, lmao
Outfit breakdown:
Taking the elephant out of the room there are two blue arrows on either side of Ace’s arms. If i’m being completely honest Ace’s inspiration to his magic affinity, or rather Helreignn’s magic affinity is inspired from Avatar: the last airbender/legend of Korra air nomads air tattoos.
At first I was hesitant to put two arrows on either of Ace’s arms as i was afraid that i was copying them, though a few thoughts went by and considering the arrows tattoos on Ace’s arms are not there to represent that he mastered air bending, no, no, no.
He uses those arrows as a weapon as they’re proven to be much fast instead of shooting them out of his palm, and more flexible.
Another thing too was the color palette. I was torn at the idea of having him contrast red, or his mother’s pink thinking it would be too girly for his character. After some debate I decided to go as you can tell his mother’s color palette of pink as an attached pink cloth is sewed onto his shorts to which he states as “embarrassing”
Ace’s cape color is the same color as Acier’s corset if you can all it a corset. Ace’s purposely chose to wear this colored cape as Ace dosen’t want Acier’s legacy, or better yet her existence to ever be forgotten. Wearing his cape whenever performing royal duties to not show his love towards his grandmother, but to show that he will do her justice
To make Ace’s sleeveless turtleneck less boring I added three holes in the middle of his shirt to reference our favorite Zogratis sibling. To be honest i did this as a mocking tactic-
and if i’m correct Asta’s bores the same star symbol correct? I would add more image but i reached my limit 😅😅
BUT THE SANADALS-
at first i was hesitant because i didn’t find the sandals the most satisfying thing royal magic knights would sport? but after some consideration it would be best to stick with tradition by doing something that sorta reminded me of gladiator sandals.
