I went to a convention this weekend, so I'm gonna yap about it!!

So originally I had planned on cosplaying Kyojuro on Friday, Genya on Saturday and then not getting into cosplay on Sunday. However, the cosplay meetup schedule altered from what I was planning for. So instead of two demon slayer meetups on Friday and Saturday, there was just one on Sunday afternoon.

But!

I was in Genya all day Saturday!

I wanted to cosplay Genya on Saturday for sure, because Zeno Robinson (Genya's English VA) was at this convention. I 3D printed a gun and spray painted it solid black so he could sign it, and I could then display it.

I got to meet him, and he was super nice! Also his taste in music was amazing. I wish I would have asked him about his favorite bands. But he had a big line of people wanting to meet him.

The rest of that day was a pretty typical con for me. We ventured through the artist area, the vendors, I took a lot of sit breaks because the shoes I was wearing were not super great (and the concrete con floor was not my friend).

Hubs and I got sushi and I had like, *actual ramen* for the first time:

I met a few people and got pictures and selfies!! A few people even gave me tokens, and I gave out some of mine. For Genya, I had a keychain that says 'Persist' with his handguard, and I give it out with a little card with my socials on it.

I also met another genya cosplayer who was super happy to see me; but they cosplayed him on Friday. They gave me a really neat pin that they made as their token though, so it's now in my ita bag!

Uuuuuuhhh yeah! So the rest of Saturday was just my husband and I hanging out, waiting for panels. We were *definitely* ready to be done when we got to our rental space at 10.

Look at how many steps I took that day though!!

I bought epsom salt and then proceeded not to use it and just passed out in bed pffft 🤣 it was a good day!!

AND THEN SUNDAY.

Sunday I was kyojuro!!

It's always a good time when I cosplay kyojuro. I found people to take selfies with, ventured around with hubs, and then did the cosplay meetup! We had a lot of fun at that. The pictures from the meetup will probably be up around the end of the month, so I might find my favorites to share once the convention staff posts it.

I want to share my lore for The Demons We Face/ Gideon in general and I can't because of I post rn it'd ruin a lotttttt for whoever is reading it

Okay guys so I checked today and I noticed that my two main blogs (this one as my primary and @definitelynotgideon my side blog) are both very close to benchmarks in followers.

I'm very close to 100 followers! I want to thank everyone who follows me, both in my recent resurgence and from previously when I started on Tumblr as an obsessed AoT fan.

Gideon is very close to 50 followers! Thanks for following his blog, it means a lot that so many people are interested in his specific content/vibes.

Id like to do something special, so here's what I'm thinking:

If my primary blog @ackie-slays reaches 100 followers before Gideon's reaches 50, I'll start a side blog for Mercer Torben, post her lore, and give her more attention. She's my female OC who started as a self insert in Attack on Titan and evolved, but it's been a challenge to do anything with her recently... I *do* however have a pretty decent foundation for her in the demon slayer universe.

If @definitelynotgideon reaches 50 followers before my primary reaches 100, I'll draw him in a frilly maid outfit!

If Gideon reaches this benchmark before his birthday on August 21st, I'll post an additional surprise 👀✨ (He won't have to beat my primary blog I'll just post the surprise if he reaches 50 by then regardless)
