I don’t think Lyle normally shows up in this game, so I figured I’d invite him over via Amiibo card to see what’d happen. What happened was that he invited three other people along with him.
Which is technically allowed!
He had a lot to say about his invited guests, and even about Isabelle, who did not work for Tom Nook back in the day, and never worked for Lyle at all. I don’t know why he mentioned Isabelle at all, frankly. It was strange. It kept me up at night.
The three guests were just as confusing. Digby thanked me for having him over, even though I absolutely didn’t invite him. On the other hand, Tom Nook decided to show up when he “heard Lyle was coming by,” and I don’t know how he heard about it. Lottie simply decided to “tag along,” which makes me think that he told her he was coming and she decided to ride along.
It’s not worth thinking about, but, as you can see, I still did anyway.
Not me buying Happy Home Paradise just because I want to design Digby a house 💀
My second amiibo visitor was Digby, and I was correct in guessing that Isabelle would also show up. Isabelle also said some nonsense about "twin power," and while I want to say it's out of character for someone who canonically holds engineering degrees from 19 different universities and has the highest IQ of all animals tested in town to talk about such a thing, she is also canonically a "silly puppy" sometimes.
Anyway, do you suppose Digby just let it slip that he's the one judging your house every Sunday? It sure seems like he did.
