Dubai summers hit hard. If you've ever had to search for ac repair near me in July, you know how long the wait can be. A quick pre-summer checkup saves you from that headache entirely.
Here's what to sort before the heat peaks:
Clean your filters — dusty Dubai air clogs them fast. Rinse or replace every 4–6 weeks.
Check for water leaks — pooling near the indoor unit means a blocked drain that needs flushing.
Listen for odd noises — rattling or grinding means something's loose. Don't ignore it.
Test cooling output — if it's blowing warm, you may need air conditioner repair or a refrigerant top-up.
Clear around the outdoor unit — 60cm clearance on all sides for proper airflow.
The rest — coil cleaning, electrical checks, refrigerant levels — needs a qualified technician. Book your air conditioning service near me before April. Slots fill up fast.

AC Service Kharagpur: Easy Tips to Keep Your AC Cool
The Honest to Goodness Truth on AC Maintenance Most People Ignore
Here's something you should know: Your air conditioner isn't just going to suddenly die. It will warn you—sometimes for weeks—before it actually packs up.
The problem is that most of us are busy. We notice the cooling seems a little off, tell ourselves we’ll check it out later, and then ‘later’ turns into a full repair job in the middle of peak summer.
The difference between those who have surprise breakdowns and those who don’t is routine maintenance between professional and friendly AC service in Kharagpur.
It’s not about being an HVAC expert. It’s a few small, consistent habits.
Habit 1 – Check your air filter first
Think of your air filter in your AC as a net. It traps dust, hair, insect particles, and airborne debris every day before it enters the system. That net fills up over time. A clogged filter is like your AC trying to breathe through a pillow.
What comes next? The system is overworking. Your room cools off slower. Your electricity bill sneaks up quietly. And the internal parts — the fan motor, the coils — start to fail faster than they should.
How to fix that:
Turn the unit off completely.
Remove the front panel and remove the filter.
Washable filters should be rinsed in cold water, allowed to dry thoroughly in the shade, and then replaced.
For disposables, just replace it.
In Kharagpur, yes, dust is heavy in dry months, and a filter check every three weeks in summer is the way to go. It takes less time than brewing a cup of tea.
Habit 2 — The Outdoor Unit Needs Breathing Space
Your outdoor compressor unit does the heavy lifting of pushing out the heat your AC pulls from the inside of the room. AC service in Kharagpur But
if it is surrounded by clutter, caked in dust, or has plants growing too close to it, that heat has nowhere efficient to go.
Look at it this way: if you were trying to cool down and someone threw a blanket on you, it wouldn’t do a very good job. Same logic goes here.
Every 2 weeks:
Clear leaves, dirt, or any build-up around the unit.
Leave at least two feet of clear space on all sides.
If dust has built up visibly, wash the outer fins lightly with a mild hose.
This one habit alone can noticeably improve how fast your room gets to a comfortable temperature, one of the easiest quick cooling solutions you can implement for free.
Habit 3 — Quit Warring With the Thermostat
Here's a myth that gets people to pay: Turning your AC to 16 degrees Celsius cools the room faster.
It doesn’t.
Your AC cools at the same rate no matter the target temperature. Setting it to 16 deg C just means the compressor never turns off. It keeps running until it hits that number, which in a warm room could be never. Meanwhile, your electricity meter is running hot.
Most Indian homes prefer a temperature between 24°C and 26°C. You feel really comfortable, the system cycles correctly, and you are not paying for cooling you don't really need.
If your unit has a sleep mode or an auto-shutoff timer, use it. There’s a reason for them — and your monthly bill will thank you for it.
Habit 4 – Close the Room Before Running AC
Your air conditioner works with what it’s got. If the cool air it produces is escaping through holes under doors, poorly sealed windows, or an open kitchen, it just has to work harder to compensate for it.
Do this before you turn on the AC. 30 seconds.
Shut all the windows and doors of the room.
Close curtains or blinds on windows that get direct afternoon sun (roughly 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the summer).
Look for any obvious gaps at the bottom of the door—a simple draft stopper will easily take care of this.
Blocking the heat at the source will help your AC reach the desired temperature faster and run in shorter cycles. Shorter cycles = less wear. Simply put, the less wear, the fewer calls for AC repair Kharagpur will be made.
Habit 5 – Learn the Sound of Your AC When It Isn’t Working Properly
An air conditioner in good working order is quiet. You hear the air moving, maybe a soft hum. And that’s it.
Listen for any new sound that was not there before:
Rattling or vibrating - Generally a loose panel or something caught in the fan.
Grinding or screeching—usually a motor bearing problem that needs professional attention fast.
Hissing or bubbling—could be a refrigerant leak and needs a certified technician.
Clicking that won't stop could be an electrical relay problem.
Search beyond sounds:
Water dripping in room (drain line clogged)
Ice is forming on the indoor unit
Musty or burning smell when AC is on
Humid air after 20+ min run
These are not things to wave off or "wait and see for a few days." They are signals to act upon. Acting early often means a cheaper, simpler fix from a professional doing AC repair in Kharagpur.
When home care isn't enough call a professional
There’s a clear delineation between what you can handle at home and what requires a trained technician.
When do you need professional AC service in Kharagpur?
10-12 months since your last full service (coil cleaning, electrical check, drain flush, refrigerant check)
Your unit isn't cooling as well as it should, and you have a clean filter.
You notice any of the warning signs mentioned above
Buy a new AC? You need the right AC installation service in Kharagpur—right sizing, right positioning and right wiring from day one
Your electricity bill has skyrocketed with no change in your consumption habits
A qualified technician will perform tasks that simply can’t be done at home, such as deep coil cleaning, checking refrigerant pressures, testing capacitors, and evaluating the entire system on a service call. In Kharagpur's climate, the bare minimum for any AC is to get this done once before summer and once after monsoon.
3 Bonus Tips to Survive the Hot Kharagpur Days
Use your air conditioner with a ceiling fan. The fan blows cool air around the room, giving you the effect faster. You can even turn the thermostat up 2°C and not feel a difference in comfort—but your compressor will run so much less.
Cool the room before going in. Switch the AC on 15 minutes before you need it. When you walk in, the room is already at a livable temperature, and you’re not standing there impatiently with it blasting at 16 degrees.
Avoid cooking heat. The kitchen is a big producer of heat. Close that door when you have the AC running in the next room or turn on the kitchen exhaust fan to exhaust that heat instead of spreading it around.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. How frequently should I get AC servicing in Kharagpur? The minimum is twice a year—one before summer (preferably March or April) and one after the monsoon (around October). If your AC is on more than 8 hours a day during summer, a mid-season check makes sense.
Q2. What does a professional AC service call involve? The basic service includes cleaning filters, washing indoor and outdoor coils, clearing condensate drains, checking the refrigerant level, checking electrical connections, and performing a cooling performance test. Some providers also check the capacitors and clean the blower wheel.
Q3. What is the difference between the price of a product and the value of a product? My AC cools; it just takes a long time. Is it something to fix? Not always. Start with the filter – a blocked filter is the most common cause of slow cooling. If the filter is clean, check that the room is sealed correctly. If neither of these works, you may want to call in a professional to fix a refrigerant shortfall or coil issue.
Q4 Do you really need professional AC installation service in Kharagpur for a new unit? Yes, and it matters more than most people know. Poor installation—wrong wall height, poor drainage slope, loose refrigerant connections—leads to reduced efficiency and premature failure. It may also void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Q5. Yes, you can clean the indoor coils at home. You can lightly dust visible coil surfaces with a soft brush, but deep coil cleaning (foam cleaners and proper pressure washing) should be left to a pro. Damage to the coil can be permanent if the delicate fins are bent or the wrong chemical is used.
Q6. Why does my AC smell musty when it kicks on? Over time, moisture accumulates on the evaporator coil and in the drain pan, creating a perfect environment for mold and mildew. This is rectified with a good coil and drain clean during your annual service. Also, running the fan-only mode for 10-15 minutes before turning the AC off each day helps to dry things out.
Wrapping It Up
Your AC doesn’t require much. A clean filter, a clear outdoor unit, sensible temperature settings, and a professional service twice a year—that's really most of what it takes to keep it running well through Kharagpur’s punishing summers.
The fortunate ones are those who don’t encounter sudden AC failures. They stick to basics.
And when things do happen, strange noises, weaker cooling, or a water leak, they don’t wait. They call a pro early, when the solution is simple and cheap.
That's pretty much the whole game. Be consistent and act early, and your AC will remain dependable all season.
AC Service Kharagpur: Your Essential Guide to Installation and Repair
When Your AC Gives Up the Ghost in the Middle of June… You’ll Know Why We Made This Guide
Think of this. It’s a Wednesday afternoon in Kharagpur. The sun outside is at its absolute worst—we are talking 43°C, humidity thick enough to feel like breathing warm soup. You enter your room, press the AC service in Kharagpur
remote, and hear the familiar click.
Then… nothing. Or worse, it runs, but the air that comes out is like a warm handshake .
If that scenario sounded a little too close to home, you’re not alone. That’s exactly what hundreds of Kharagpur families go through every summer. And the annoying thing? Much of it was entirely preventable.
This blog is not going to provide you with generic advice. No fluff. No copy-paste tips you've read a hundred times. What you’ll get here is a truly honest, experience-backed guide to understanding AC service in Kharagpur—from how to pick the right technician to a step-by-step breakdown of how professional AC installation actually works to understanding what’s really wrong when your unit acts up.
Let's get to it.
First Things First – Why Kharagpur Is Especially Hard on ACs
This is more important than people realize. Kharagpur is definitely hot, but it is unbearably hot for months together, and the humidity makes it tougher for the cooling systems. Every AC unit is designed for normal load conditions. Things wear out faster in a place like this. Your unit could be running AC service in Kharagpur
10 to 14 hours a day from April through September.”
Add to that the frequent voltage fluctuations that affect most of the towns in West Bengal and the dust from surrounding areas that clogs up filters faster than usual, and you start to understand why AC repair in Kharagpur is such a common conversation.
Your AC is not weak. The environment is just really hard on it. Which is exactly why how you service and install it matters so much more here than, say, in a hill station town.
### What Does Professional AC Installation in Kharagpur Look Like? Here’s a Step-by-Step Breakdown
Many people think AC installation is easy – just put the unit up and plug it in. For those of us who have had to deal with a badly fitted unit that assumption is quite wrong. Now that's what I call a proper job.
Step 1 — Determine Your Actual Need for Capacity
This is where it all begins. Get this wrong and you will be unhappy with your AC for the next 5 years.
Room size is important, but so is the ceiling height, number of windows, amount of sun, and how many people use the room each day. For most standard rooms in Kharagpur homes: As a starting point
A 1-ton unit will usually do well for rooms under 120 square feet. Typically, 1.5 tons are needed per room space of 120 to 180 square feet. 180-250 sq. ft. - 2 ton AC - good for larger rooms.
One sincere suggestion for Kharagpur in particular is to go for a 5 star BEE rated inverter model. Yes, it costs more up front. But the length of our summers makes the electricity savings over one season more than compensate. You’ll be thanking yourself by August.
Step 2 – Selecting a Location to Mount the Indoor Unit
This is a step that is skipped or rushed far too often. The location of your indoor unit affects how evenly your room cools, how efficiently your AC runs, and how loud it sounds when it’s running.
The unit needs to be high up on the wall, not only because cold air sinks, but because heat pockets near the ceiling get absorbed quicker. Keep it away from walls that get direct western sun as that heat will transfer through the wall into the unit itself
Consider the drainage path as well. The indoor unit continuously produces condensation water. If your drain pipe has to travel uphill, or turn corners, you're going to have water leaking down the road." A good technician will plan this route before drilling a single hole.
Step 3 – Site Assessment Prior to All Work
This is what differentiates a good and a bad AC installation service in Kharagpur. A proper technician will walk through your room and check a few things before mounting anything . The structural integrity of your wall to see if it can mount a bracket , check your electrical wiring to see if you have a dedicated circuit or if one needs to be added , check the most sensible path for the copper refrigerant pipes , and check the best position for the outdoor unit for ventilation .
If someone comes along and starts drilling right away without doing any of this, that’s a red flag. A hurried site assessment is usually the first of a long list of problems to come.
Step 4 – Attaching the Wall Bracket and Installing the Indoor Unit
The wall bracket is mounted after the location is determined. That sounds easy, but it has to be done precisely. If the bracket is even a little off level, the indoor unit will tilt. This will affect drainage and eventually cause vibration noise.
The indoor unit is then slipped onto the bracket. Next up is drilling a clean hole through the wall for the piping and electrical connections to run through to the outdoor unit. Drill the hole at a slight angle downward toward the outside so any moisture will drain outward, not inward.
Step 5 Install Copper Pipe and Dedicated Electrical Wiring
It’s the most technically complex part of the entire installation. The copper refrigerant lines are properly sized and free of kinks . They are bent smoothly and connect the indoor and outdoor units . The lines are insulated with a foam wrap to reduce energy loss and prevent condensation from forming on the outside of the pipe .
The electrical side is equally as important. Your AC needs its own dedicated circuit – not one shared with your refrigerator, washing machine or any other heavy appliance. Running your AC on a shared circuit makes the breaker trip over and over and, eventually, become a real fire risk. Have your technician check wiring before the unit is turned on.
Step 6 — Positioning the Outdoor Unit and Connecting it
The outdoor unit, which contains the compressor and condenser, needs room to breathe. If the outdoor unit is in enclosed balconies, tight alcoves or right over exhaust vents, it works much harder, runs hotter and wears out faster.
Ideally it is on a strong wall-mounted stand or a concrete pad and has at least 30 centimetres clearance on each side. The technician then connects it to the indoor unit using copper pipes and electrical cables, ensuring all connections are tight and secure.
Step 7 — Vacuum the Line Set
Here’s one step that separates a really professional AC installation from a cut-rate one — and most people don’t even know to ask about it.
Before any refrigerant is introduced into the system, the piping must be evacuated by means of a vacuum pump. This pulls the air and moisture that is trapped inside the copper line out. Moisture in the refrigerant circuit is one of the primary causes of compressor failure in the first couple of years. Skipping this step saves you about 15 minutes during installation and costs you a compressor replacement later.
Ask your technician directly: “Are you going to vacuum the line before charging? If they get uncomfortable with the question, that tells you something.
Step 8 - Refrigerant Charge and System Test
Once the lines are evacuated, refrigerant is added in precise, measured quantities. Too much and the AC will freeze up. Too much and you're putting too much strain on the compressor. Either way, you're shortening its life span.
The unit is turned on after charging. A good technician will check the air temperature at the inlet and outlet vents to ensure a proper temperature differential (typically 8 to 12 degrees Celsius is a healthy sign), listen for any strange noises from either unit, examine the remote and all the operating modes and ensure the drainage is working properly.
You should also be provided with a brief on basic filter maintenance, the recommended first service interval, and your warranty documentation. A regular split AC installation takes two to four hours, and multi-room or concealed piping work takes longer.
Is Your AC Not Working Right? How to Read the Signs
Your AC doesn’t just tend to die without warning. It gives signals. Learn how to read them early and save yourself some real money.
On the lowest temp, the cooling feels weak. In 9 out of 10 cases this is dirty filters choking airflow or refrigerant that has dropped below optimum levels. Filters you can check yourself—refrigerant needs a pro.
Water is leaking from the indoor unit on the wall or floor. The drain line is clogged with algae or debris. Left unattended, this leads to wall seepage, ceiling stains, and mold. It’s one of the cheapest fixes on the list and most ignored.
The AC is on, but the outside unit is quiet. The most likely reasons your outdoor compressor is not working are a bad starting capacitor, a tripped breaker at the outdoor disconnect, or, in worse cases, a seized compressor. First, before you jump to the worst conclusion, check your breaker panel.
Noticeable increases in electricity bills with no change in usage. Dirty condenser coils make the compressor run longer to achieve the same amount of cooling. Same thing with low refrigerant. Both are part of a standard AC service call.
Strange smells—musty, burning, or chemical. "Musty" usually means mold in the air filter or in the evaporator coil. Burning smell—turn off immediately—electrical fault. A chemical smell could mean a refrigerant leak, which needs immediate attention.
For any of these, quick AC repair in Kharagpur is always the more cost-effective road than waiting and letting the problem compound.
How to find a good AC technician in Kharagpur (without burning your hands)
The best filter is still word of mouth. "Ask a neighbor what they used last summer. Ask the maintenance guys in your apartment complex. A really good technician builds a loyal local customer base—you can usually find them through recommendations, not random search results.
When you do contact someone, use the three things to be aware of. One: Do they give you a ballpark cost before they start work, or do they give vague answers and then hit you with a surprise bill? Two: Do they explain what they are doing and why, or do they treat you like you shouldn't ask questions? Three: Do they offer a service warranty on the repair, even a short one?
Brands matter, too—if you have a Daikon or Hitachi unit, look for someone with documented experience servicing that brand specifically. Sometimes generic technicians will use the wrong type of refrigerant or put in incompatible replacement parts, creating more problems than they fix.
Surviving the wait when your AC goes down
If you are waiting for a tech and the heat is already oppressive, there are a few things that really help. Keep interior doors closed to keep cooler air in small spaces. Soak a bedsheet or large towel, squeeze it out, and place it near an open window. Evaporation will have a dramatic cooling effect. Turn your ceiling fan counterclockwise and on high to push air down instead of circulating it. Block western-facing windows from noon onward; that one step lowers indoor temperature more than most people expect.
FAQ – Real Questions, Real Answers
How frequent is the servicing of an AC in Kharagpur? Given the workload of ACs here, servicing twice a year is well worth it—once in late March before the peak hits and once in July if you’re running the unit through the monsoon season. If you can only do one, do it before summer, not after.
What's a fair price range for AC services in Kharagpur? A cleaning and check service will cost you anywhere between ₹400 and ₹900 depending on the kind of unit you have and whom you hire. Charges for gas refills, parts replacement, or electrical repairs will be extra. Ask what a "complete service" means exactly when someone quotes you 200 rupees. Usually it means a filter rinse and nothing more.
Is a 1.5-ton AC good for most Kharagpur rooms? The answer is yes, a 1.5-ton inverter unit is usually the right fit for a standard bedroom of between 130 and 170 square feet with normal ceiling height. Rooms with high ceilings, large glass windows, or west-facing walls may need to go up to 2 tons.
Will voltage fluctuations harm my AC in Kharagpur? Absolutely. The compressor and the control board are subjected to repeated voltage spikes and dips. In an area with an unstable supply, a good quality voltage stabilizer, properly sized for the power draw of your AC, is a worthwhile investment.
My AC is 18 months old and is already underperforming. Who is responsible? If the air conditioner was installed by a professional and is still under warranty, first contact the service center of the brand. When performance is poor this early, it usually indicates problems with the installation, such as incorrect gas charging, no vacuum pump step, or bad pipe insulation. Getting a second opinion from an independent technician can help determine whether the problem is with the unit itself or how it was set up.
Is it better to set my AC to 16°C to cool the room faster? No — and that's a surprisingly common mistake. No matter what temp you set your AC to, it will cool at the same rate. Setting it to 16 degrees means it runs all the time without cycling off. This uses a lot more power. It's much cheaper to run, and more comfortable to set it to 24°C and use a fan to circulate the cool air.
When to stop fixing and start replacing A good rule of thumb: if your AC is more than eight years old and the repair estimate is more than 40 percent of the cost of a comparable new unit, replacement usually makes more financial sense. Newer inverter models are so much more energy-efficient than those of a decade ago that the electricity savings alone often pay for the difference in cost in two to three seasons.
The Bottom Line
An air conditioner in Kharagpur is not a luxury; it is a necessity on which your family’s comfort truly depends for a large part of the year. And when you do so, treating it right, with regular attention and timely repairs, it pays off in every way.
If you’re seeking reliable AC service in Kharagpur to keep your AC unit in top shape, require emergency AC repair in Kharagpur after an unforeseen breakdown, or are going for a brand-new AC installation service in Kharagpur for a new house or upgrade, the difference between a good experience and a frustrating one almost always comes down to who you call and how prepared you are.
You’re ready now.
AC Blowing Warm Air in Kharagpur? Your Refrigerant Might Be the Silent Problem
That One Afternoon That Changed How I Think Of AC Gas
Think of this. It is mid-May in Kharagpur. The sort of afternoon when the road outside shimmers, and even the ceiling fan seems to be mocking you. You walk into your room, you hit the AC Service in Kharagpur
remote, and you wait five minutes—and the air that comes out of those vents? Only a few degrees cooler than outside.
You look at the remote. The temperature is set at 18°C. The unit is operating. The outdoor compressor is on. So what the hell is going on?
Nine times out of ten, it's the refrigerant. And no, that doesn’t mean your AC “ran out of gas.” That’s one of the biggest myths that people have around. Refrigerant does not burn up or go away on its own. Somewhere your AC is low on it; there is a leak—small, quiet, invisible to the naked eye—and it’s been slowly draining your cooling power for weeks, maybe months.
So this post is about helping you catch that problem early, know what that actually means, and know when to pick up the phone and call for proper AC service in Kharagpur before things get expensive.
First – What Does Refrigerant Actually Do In Your AC?
No degree in engineering required. Here’s the real, simple version.
Your AC uses a closed loop AC Service in Kharagpur
of pipes running between the indoor and outdoor units. Refrigerant (a chemical compound, usually R-410A in newer models and R-22 in older models) flows through this loop in two states, liquid and gas. When it passes through your indoor unit as a liquid, it evaporates and absorbs heat from the air in your room. That's the cool you feel. Then it goes outside. It gives off that heat, turns back into a liquid, and the cycle repeats.
The key word is "closed loop." Refrigerant is not a consumable product. It will remain in that system for the life of the AC. So if someone tells you, "Your gas is gone; it happens every season”—that's not correct. What happens is that the loop gets a crack, a loose joint, or a corroded pipe, and it slowly leaks refrigerant over a period of time.
This is important because just filling the gas tank without finding and fixing that leak is like pouring water into a bucket that has a hole in the bottom. You are going to be spending money on refills every few months, and the real problem goes unaddressed—your compressor takes the damage.
How to Know if Your AC is Truly Low on Refrigerant – Clear Signs, Not Obscure Clues
What you'll actually notice at home. No need for technical tools.
The Cooling Simply Feels… Off
Your room would get cold in 20 minutes flat. now it takes over an hour and still doesn’t feel right. That feeling that something is different? Trust her. A normal room of 150-200 sq ft can be cooled comfortably by an AC with adequate refrigerant levels in 20-25 minutes even in the peak summer heat of Kharagpur. If yours is dragging, a refrigerant shortage is way up there on the list.
You see ice on the copper pipe coming from the indoor unit
This confuses a lot of people. Ice doesn't feel like a "low on gas" problem; it feels like a "too cold" problem. But this is what's really happening: When the refrigerant pressure drops, the evaporator coil inside gets too cold, way colder than it's supposed to be, and moisture in the air around it freezes up on contact. You will notice a frosty or icy buildup on the thin copper pipe going into the wall.
The moment you see this, turn off the AC. Running it in this state can damage the compressor, and a compressor replacement will cost you several thousand rupees in AC repair in Kharagpur, much more than a simple gas recharge would have.
A Soft Hiss When All is Still
When the house is quiet late at night, get close to your indoor unit and listen carefully. A slight hissing, almost like escaping air from a tire, can mean refrigerant is leaking through a tiny crack in the coil or a loose fitting in the pipe joint. Some leaks, especially if the refrigerant is escaping as a liquid, will sound more like a faint bubbling. Both sounds are abnormal. Neither ought to be neglected.
Your electricity bill has been quietly rising.
This one takes most people by surprise. The AC can’t reach the set temperature because of low refrigerant levels, so the compressor does what any machine would do when struggling – it runs longer and harder. You see it right on your electricity meter, that constant effort. If you have noticed that your last couple of bills or three have been significantly higher than the same months last year and your usage hasn’t changed, it might be worth investigating the refrigerant level in your AC.
Indoor Air Damp With AC On
A working air conditioner does more than cool the air; it dehumidifies. The same process that takes the heat away also pulls moisture out of the air. That dehumidification is not as strong when refrigerant is low. Your room is still gluey. Clothes are wet. There’s a vague, muggy feeling that no amount of lower temperature settings can solve. This could be the reason if you are seeing this in the pre-monsoon and monsoon heat of Kharagpur.
The outdoor unit runs constantly.
Your AC is set up to cycle—run for a bit, hit the right temperature, take a quick breather, and then get back to it. That cycling is normal and actually protects the compressor from overworking. But if there isn’t enough refrigerant, the unit can never actually get to the desired temperature, so it just runs. And runs. And runs—never even going into that rest cycle. If your outdoor unit sounds like it hasn’t had a break in hours, that is a sign to act on.
Can you do it yourself or check it?
Yes, the spotting. Straight answer. Not the fixing, for sure.
All of the above, the warm air, the ice, the sounds, and the electricity bill are things you can see for yourself without any tools. And they are really handy. If you know what to look for, you might be able to catch a low-refrigerant situation before the compressor is involved.
To really measure and refill refrigerant, you’ll need a manifold gauge set to take system pressure readings, the right refrigerant type for your AC model, and certified handling skills. Refrigerants like R-410A are pressurized compounds and must only be handled with the correct equipment and training. Excessive or insufficient pressure can permanently damage internal components.
And there’s a very practical reason to call in a pro: They won’t just refill the gas. A trained technician performing correct AC repair in Kharagpur will first identify the source of the leak, seal it or replace the affected component, and then refill the system. That’s the only way a gas refill actually fixes the problem in the long run.
What to expect during a professional refrigerant service visit
Here is how a proper refrigerant job looks when you book a technician for top-rated AC service in Kharagpur:
They connect pressure gauges to the service port on your outdoor unit and read the gauges. These numbers tell them exactly how much refrigerant is in the system and whether or not the pressure is in the right range for your AC model. Then they conduct a leak test, either by injecting UV-reactive dye into the system or by using an electronic sensor to detect traces of refrigerant in the air around joints and coils.
When you locate the leak, you repair it, brazing a joint, a coil section, or a fitting tightened, depending on where the leak is and what kind of leak it is. The system is then vacuumed down to remove any moisture or air that may have gotten into the system during the repair. The correct amount of refrigerant is added back in.
Finally, there’s a running test—they'll run the AC for 15 to 20 minutes and make sure the pressure is stable, the temperatures are falling the way they should, and there are no more signs of a leak.
That whole process, if done correctly, is what sets a reliable AC service provider in Kharagpur apart from someone who just walks in with a cylinder and fills without checking anything.
Need to Install a New AC Unit? Please read this part closely.
Poor installation can cause many AC problems, and early refrigerant loss is just one of them. If pipes are not flared properly, joints are a little loose, or the system is not evacuated before charging, leaks can develop within months of installation.
For quality AC installation service in Kharagpur, the installer will follow the manufacturer’s specifications to the letter: correct pipe length, proper flaring angles, a full vacuum test before any refrigerant goes in, and a pressure hold test to confirm there are no leaks before the unit is handed over to you. Proper installation usually means refrigerant problems won’t show up for years.
If your brand-new AC is not cooling properly, the first thing you want to check is the installation process.
Maintaining Your AC Through Kharagpur's Seasons
A few practical habits that really reduce the risk of refrigerant problems and other issues:
Replace or clean filters monthly during periods of heavy use. A dirty filter blocks airflow and causes the evaporator coil to freeze up. That looks like the refrigerant low symptoms and puts an extra strain on the system.
Book one legit service before summer starts. Not during the peak—prior. When the temperature hits 38-40°C, every service technician in the city is booked out for weeks.
If possible, set the temperature to 24°C instead of 18°C. This could cause the compressor to run all the time at the lowest setting, which keeps it under constant pressure and shortens its life.
After the monsoon, check the outdoor unit for any debris like leaves, dried mud, or anything that is blocking the fins. If the outdoor airflow is restricted, the ability of the unit to release heat is reduced, which causes the back pressure to back up through the entire system.
FAQ – AC Service Kharagpur: Honest Answers to Real Questions
Q1. My AC is on, but it is not blowing cold air. Could the refrigerant be totally out? Yes, it can go very low. In extreme cases the system has so little refrigerant it is almost not cooling at all. That’s when the compressor is also at risk. Don’t run the unit in that state. Turn the unit off. Book an ac repair in Kharagpur right away.
Q2. Six months ago my AC was charged with gas by a tech. Why is it low again? The leak was never repaired. A gas refill without leak repair is only a temporary measure by design. You need the leak source to be identified and sealed, and then the gas recharged. For any refill, be sure to ask for a leak test specifically.
Q3. What is the difference between the price of a product and the value of a product? How do I find out what refrigerant my AC uses? Take a look at the sticker on the outdoor unit; it will tell you the type of refrigerant (R-22, R-32, R-410A, etc.). That is important because refrigerant types are not interchangeable or mixable. Always make sure you have the right type of technician.
Q4: I have an 8-year-old AC that is R-22. Should I upgrade?” R-22 is being phased out and is becoming increasingly expensive to source. If your R-22 unit requires major repairs or repeated refills, it’s worth crunching the numbers to see if a new energy-efficient R-32 or R-410A model makes more sense financially over three to five years.
Q5. How long to properly refill gas and fix leaks? A good job should take 2-3 hours—leak detection, repair, vacuum, recharge, and running tests. If someone tells you they can do it in 20 minutes, they are skipping some critical steps.
Q6. Is AC installation service different for split vs. window AC in Kharagpur? Yes. Split AC installation is more technical. It involves the mounting of the outdoor unit, routing of the copper pipes, drilling of the walls, and precise flaring. Window AC units are easier to install but still need to be properly sealed and leveled. Both need a skilled hand for lasting results.
Q7. Kharagpur Climate: What is the realistic service frequency? It is held twice a year—once before the summer in March and once after the monsoon in October. The dust levels in Kharagpur and the long summer season mean that if you skip annual service, performance is visibly reduced and running costs increase.
The Bottom Line
Kharagpur has been a battlefield for your AC every summer—fighting 42°C days, dust, humidity, and hours of continuous operation. Refrigerant issues are pretty common, but they are also very fixable if caught early and handled correctly.
The difference between an ₹800 gas leak repair and a ₹12,000 compressor replacement is usually about how fast you reacted to the first signs.

Kharagpur’s Top-Rated AC Service: How to Clean Your AC Filter at Home
Let’s Be Real—Your AC Needs Better Care
If you are a resident of Kharagpur, you already know how severe the summers can be. The heat from April to June isn’t just uncomfortable; it’s working your air conditioner overtime, every day of the week.
Here’s the thing most people don’t realize—a dusty, clogged AC filter is quietly killing your cooling efficiency right now. Your electricity bill increases. Your room takes a while to cool down. What about your and AC Service in Kharagpur
unit? It's asking for help.
The good news? You can fix a big part of this yourself, at home, today. And for all else, trusted AC service in Kharagpur is just a call away.
Let's go inside.
The Most Important (and Most Ignored) Part Of Your AC Filter
Consider the AC Service in Kharagpur to be the lungs of your system. All of the air that blows in your room goes through that filter first. It accumulates dust, pet hair, pollen, and all manner of airborne gunk over the years.
When the filter gets plugged:
Less airflow means it takes longer to cool your room
Energy use goes up—your electric bill goes up for no good reason
Later, time-consuming AC repair in Kharagpur, when ice is formed on the coils
Air quality drops; you’re literally breathing recycled dust
One of the easiest and most effective things you can do as a homeowner is to clean the filter every 2-3 weeks in peak summer.
How to Clean AC Filter at Home (Step by Step)
No tech experience? No problem. This is really something anyone can do in under 20 minutes.
What you’ll require:
Old toothbrush or soft-bristle brush
Liquid dish soap (mild)
Warm water
a clean, dry towel or cloth
A vacuum cleaner (not necessary but helpful)
Step 1: Turn Off the AC Completely
Safety Always Comes First. Switch off the AC unit from the remote and the main switch. Leave it for 5 minutes before opening anything. Never work on a live unit.
Step 2: Open the Front Panel
The majority of split ACs have a front panel which can be opened up with gentle pressure. You'll see the filter right there—usually a grey mesh-like panel. If your model is different, refer to your user manual (or look up a quick how-to video for your AC model online).
Step 3: Gently Remove the Filter
Remove the filter slowly. Don't stir it up in the room; you'll send all that trapped dust flying right back into your home. "Take it straight to a sink or bathroom or outside.
Step 4: Dust dry first
Remove loose, dry dust with a soft brush or vacuum before adding water. This makes the wet cleaning much more efficient and prevents the dust from turning into a muddy paste inside the filter mesh.
Step 5: Wash with tepid water
Place the filter under lukewarm (not hot) running water. Let the water flow against the normal airflow—this pushes the dirt out and not further in. The water will run grey at first and then clear gradually.
Step 6: Stubborn Grime, Use Mild Soap
If the filter appears greasy or very dirty, add a few drops of mild dish soap and gently scrub with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly until the soap is gone. When the AC runs, it foams because there is soap left in the filter.
Step 7: Allow to dry completely before putting back in.
This step is more important than most people think. A wet filter can encourage mold growth in your AC unit. Lay flat on a clean towel in a cool, airy place. Air dry completely in 1–2 hours. Never use a hairdryer or direct sunlight—heat deforms the mesh.
Step 8: Reinstall & Turn On
Once completely dry, slide the filter back into its slot, close the front panel, and turn your AC back on. You will notice the difference in the airflow almost immediately—cooler air, faster cooling, and quieter operation.
When DIY isn’t enough—time to call the experts
Good maintenance to wash your filter. But seriously? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
To ensure your AC is performing at its absolute best, it needs a complete professional service at least once before summer begins and again after. Here’s what a professional AC service in Kharagpur offers that you can’t just do yourself:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1. How frequently should I clean my AC filter in Kharagpur? In the summer, clean your filter every 2-3 weeks. In the cooler months, once a month is fine. Dusty conditions at Kharagpur make it a place where more cleaning is always better:
Q2. What is the AC service price in Kharagpur? Basic AC service charges range from ₹300 to ₹800 per unit depending on the type of service, AC brand, and if the gas refilling is required. Always get a written estimate before you start.
Q3. What is the difference between the price of a product and the value of a product? How long does professional AC service take? A standard service visit is usually 45 minutes to 1.5 hours per unit. Kharagpur AC repair can take longer if it is a complex AC repair and requires replacement of parts.
Q4: Can a dirty filter damage my AC permanently? Yes, with time. When a plugged filter causes the compressor to work overtime, it significantly reduces its lifespan. Regular cleaning really does protect.
Q5. Yes, we do offer AC installation service in Kharagpur for all brands. Most professional technicians are trained to install and service all major brands like Daikin, Voltas, LG, Samsung, Hitachi, Blue Star, Carrier etc.
Q6. My AC is blowing warm air—is it just a gas issue? Not necessarily. Warm air can be caused by clogged filters, dirty coils, low refrigerant, or bad compressors. Only a qualified AC repair technician in Kharagpur can confirm the root cause with a diagnostic check.
Conclusion
Your AC is one of the hardest-working appliances in your home, especially in the heat of Kharagpur. It’s an easy habit to get into, and it means lower bills and better cooling. Clean your filter regularly. But don’t stop there.
Once in a season, get a professional AC service in Kharagpur. This isn’t an expense—it's an investment in comfort, efficiency, and peace of mind.

AC Service Kharagpur: Quick Guide to Efficient Cooling & Repairs [2026]
Let me be honest with you for a second.
Kharagpur in May is not a place where you “just open a window.” The kind of heat and stickiness that rolls through West Bengal before the monsoon hits — the kind that makes you question your life choices if your AC decides to stop working at 2 PM on a Tuesday.
But most people in Kharagpur remember their AC only when it has passed away. No refrigeration. Curious noise. Water trickling on the floor. Suddenly, everyone is a plumber. Trying to work out what went wrong.
This guide is here to keep that from happening to you. We're talking real, practical info on AC service in Kharagpur.
Damage from humidity, what proper maintenance actually looks like, how to get a new unit installed without regrets, and how to spot a technician worth calling back vs. one who disappears after collecting cash.
The humidity in Kharagpur is doing more damage to you than you think
Most AC guides are written for dry, northern Indian cities. Kharagpur is a different ball game.
West Bengal’s climate is at a unique intersection—temperatures in the pre-monsoon often break 40°C while relative humidity is between 80 and 92 percent. AC service in Kharagpur
Your AC is not just fighting heat; it is fighting moisture in the air, rust developing inside the unit, algae growing inside drain lines, and coil surfaces that become sticky traps for every dust particle floating around.
What does that mean, in real terms, for your machine? Here’s how an AC unit that is not serviced regularly would behave in a place like Kharagpur:
Within weeks, not months, the evaporator coil, the part that makes cold air, is coated with a film of dust and mold. Once that layer builds up, the coil cannot reject heat properly. Your AC is running longer, working harder, and still not cooling as well as you'd like. Meanwhile, the drain pipe—which carries the condensed water out of the unit—is clogged with algae that thrive in just such warm, wet conditions. That’s what causes water to start dripping inside your room, often onto walls or furniture, before you even notice it.
In the long term, the biggest hit is to the compressor, the heart of your outdoor unit. Moisture enhances corrosion of copper pipes and electrical contacts. Ties come loose. Silent gas pressure drops. One summer you turn on your AC and nothing happens—not because something suddenly broke but because it’s been slowly failing for the past two years while you were like, "It's still cooling a little; it’s probably fine.”
That's not okay. And in Kharagpur, in particular, the distance between “slightly underperforming” and “completely dead” is much smaller than you might imagine.
What does proper AC repair and servicing actually involve?
There's a version of AC service in Kharagpur where a guy comes, sprays some water on the filter, wipes the front panel, and gives you a bill. That’s not a service. That’s a performance.
Here’s what a really thorough AC service should include, and if your provider skips any of these without a good reason, ask why:
Deep coil cleaning – the evaporator coil inside and the condenser coil in the outdoor unit. In Kharagpur these need to be chemically cleaned at least once a year, as surface washing alone will not be enough to remove the biofilm formation due to humidity.
Drain line flushing – using pressurized air or a wire to clear the pipe of algae, fungal growth, and debris. In high-humidity areas, a clogged drain line can go from “fine” to “flooding your wall” in the span of a single season.
Refrigerant pressure check - not just topping up gas, but checking if the system is holding its pressure correctly. If a unit keeps losing gas, it has a leak somewhere, and adding more gas without finding the leak is money wasted every six months.
Electrical and capacitor check - humidity is very bad for capacitors and wiring. A technician doing honest AC repair in Kharagpur will check these, because a bad capacitor is the single most common reason why ACs stop starting up in summer.
Fan blade and blower wheel cleaning—these collect grease, dust, and mold in humid climates and reduce airflow directly when dirty.
Thermostat calibration check — an easy step that many people overlook. So, if your thermostat is set to 24°C and the room is at 28°C, then it’s either the coil or a badly calibrated thermostat. Either way, you are paying for electricity that you are not getting cooling from.
Looking for new AC installation in Kharagpur? First, Read This
Many of the problems with AC installation in Kharagpur are not with the machine but with the installation. Buying a good brand and then having it installed poorly is like buying quality food and cooking it badly. The result is not what you paid for.
Here is the difference between a good AC installation service in Kharagpur and a negligent one:
Drainage tilt—the indoor unit must be installed at a very slight downward angle towards the drain pipe. Get this wrong and water pools inside the unit, drips inside your room, and breeds mold in the walls. When you are wall mounting, the angle has to be more careful, and many shortcuts happen here.
Pipe insulation quality — Copper pipes carrying refrigerant should be well insulated, with particular attention paid to the outdoor section. The humid climate of Kharagpur causes uninsulated pipes to sweat, drip, and corrode faster. Insulation also stops the refrigerant from absorbing ambient heat before it gets to the indoor unit.
Position of outdoor unit – in a shaded ventilated space with a minimum clearance of 30–40 cm on all sides. If you cram it into a tight corner or leave it in direct afternoon sun, the compressor is fighting extra heat it doesn’t need to deal with.
Tonnage selection – this is discussion, not guessing. A good installer will ask you about your room size, ceiling height, number of windows and sun exposure, and how many people typically occupy the room before recommending tonnage. A 1.5 ton unit in the wrong room will be running constantly and never make you comfortable.
Always ask for a test run before the installer leaves. Turn the cooling on, set it to 18°C, and check that cold air is blowing out before you sign off on the job.
How To Select A Reliable Person For AC Service In Kharagpur
Just searching online and calling the first number will not help you find the best AC service in Kharagpur. Here are a few tips to quickly identify a trustworthy person:
They provide you with an estimate of the cost before they start work, not after. A tech that won’t quote until the job is “done” is setting you up for a conversation you don’t want.
In simple language they tell what they found. If your capacitor is weak, they should be able to show you the reading and explain why this is important. That's a red flag if it feels like you're being spoken to in riddles designed to make you feel ignorant.
They have spare parts in stock or can get them the same day. In the middle of summer you can't wait three days for a capacitor. The local technicians who have been around for a while keep a stock of the most commonly required spares for the popular AC brands—they know what tends to break in Kharagpur weather.
Their past customers are a testament to them. A page of 5-star reviews with no text is less credible than Google reviews in Bengali and Hindi with specific details. Word around your building or neighborhood—AC service referrals are quick to circulate in tight-knit areas.
5 Ways To Extend The Life Of Your AC Between Services
These suggestions are not available in any manufacturer booklet, but they matter specifically in Kharagpur conditions.
Monsoon months: Run your AC in fan-only mode for 15 minutes before you turn it off. This helps to dry out the evaporator coil and greatly reduces the mold buildup that causes that musty smell everyone notices when they first switch on after the rains.
Don't put your temperature below 22°C thinking it'll cool faster. The compressor doesn’t work any harder; depending on how low you turn the dial, it just continues to run beyond the comfort zone and rack up your electric bill. Put it at 24°C, leave it to get there, and your room will feel just as cool for a fraction of the cost.
During the summer season take out your AC unit’s front filter every 4 weeks and rinse it gently with running water. Put it back in after drying. 10 min. This one habit can reduce your service bills by a substantial amount over the whole year in Kharagpur’s dusty, humid air.
FAQ - Direct Answers on AC Service in Kharagpur
How frequently should I service my AC in Kharagpur? At least twice a year, once before summer (February to March) and once after monsoon season ends (October to November). Running the AC every day through summer? Do yourself a favor and get a good mid-season filter clean in June. Don’t just rely on the calendar—if it seems less effective than usual, have it checked out no matter when it was last serviced.
How much should I pay for AC servicing in Kharagpur? A standard split AC coil cleaning, drain flush, filter service, and basic inspection service typically costs between ₹400 and ₹800. In case of gas refilling, add between ₹800 and ₹1,500, depending on the type of refrigerant. “Be careful of anyone charging below ₹200. There isn’t anything meaningful that can happen at that price point.
My AC is leaking water on the wall inside my room. What is happening? Most of the time it’s a clogged drain line. The condensed water has no way of escaping, so it overflows from the drip tray. It is one of the most common air conditioning repair calls in and post-monsoon seasons in Kharagpur. The fix itself is quick—but ignore it, and water damage to your wall plaster and paint gets expensive fast.
When is the best time to book AC installation in Kharagpur? Yeah, February or early March, before the summer heat kicks in. Installation teams are less booked, prices for labor are sometimes better, and you have time to test the unit properly before the days when you really need it to be working well.
My old AC cools down but takes ages. Do I fix it or do I just buy a new one? If the unit is more than 8-10 years old, consider the difference in electricity cost. You can find that an old 3-star unit from 2012 costs you 35-40% more in power bills than a new 5-star inverter AC. If your repair quote is more than ₹3,500 to ₹4,000, the numbers often tend to favor buying new. A good local technician in Kharagpur should give you an honest opinion on this—if they only push repairs without mentioning this calculation, ask them directly.
What if I am not getting AC servicing for 2 years continuously in Kharagpur? Down the road, there's less efficient cooling within months, a clogged drain in one full season, potential compressor stress from dirty coils that cause it to work harder, and a significantly higher electricity bill all season long. None of these announces itself dramatically. They just bleed your money slowly until something finally breaks down completely.

What You Can Expect When You Reach Out To Us
Let's walk through the actual experience. Not the brochure version, but what actually transpires in AC service in Kharagpur .
The First Call Or Text
When you call us, message us on WhatsApp, or fill out our booking form, you will get a direct reply from someone in our team. Not a bot response. Not a robot. A real person who knows what they are talking about.
They'll ask you three simple things: what the AC is doing (or not doing), what brand and model you have, and when you want someone to come. That’s all. Your slot is booked on the spot.
We offer services in all areas of Kharagpur—Inda, Matigara, Golbazaar, Jhapater More, areas near IIT Kharagpur, and all other localities around. Same-day appointments are available for available times.
The Technician Who Knocks At Your Door
We know this is important to people, especially women at home alone or elderly residents. We personally vet, train, and vouch for every person we send. They got IDs. They wear uniforms.
They will give you their name , show you their ID , and ask you to describe what has been going on with the AC first . I really appreciate your account of the problem; you have been living with the issue. That context allows us to get to the root cause faster.
Remove your shoes at the door. Keep your floors clean. Your home is still your place.
The Part Most Companies Miss: An Actual Diagnosis
That’s where we are different—and we’re not afraid to say it.
Our technician checks everything before quoting a price. Every. Single. Time.
So here is what that check does:
Air Filter – When was it last serviced? A dust-laden filter chokes the airflow and makes the entire system work harder for worse output. This is also the most ignored and easiest fix to AC maintenance.
Indoor and Outdoor Coils – Grime can collect on the coils inside (evaporator) and outside (condenser). Once that layer forms, heat transfer is no longer effective. Your AC is cycling longer, and your electric bill is just creeping up.
Refrigerant Pressure — If your AC is low on freon, there is a leak somewhere in the system. Adding gas on top of that without finding and fixing the leak is just a band-aid, and you’ll be right back where you started a few months from now. We find the origin. We fix it right.
Electrical Components — The capacitor is the component of an AC that fails most often. They are cheap to replace and take minutes to change out. First we eliminate the small stuff before we recommend anything expensive. Always.
PCB and Control Board—Today's inverter ACs work on complex boards. A fault here can cause erratic behavior that looks like a major problem but is often very simple to fix.
Drain Line – Water leaking inside your room from the indoor unit is almost always caused by a clogged drain pipe. We flush it clean. And look for cracks or wrong angles of the pipe routing.
We test every mode: cool, fan, dry, auto, sleep, you name it. Sometimes the 'problem' is a setting that was changed by accident.
After the complete check-up, the technician explains what they found in terms that make sense to you. Then they give you a written estimate of what it will cost. You look at it. You ask questions if you have questions. And you decide whether to keep going. No pressure. No countdown. "This offer expires if you don't say yes right away." No
The work: What we actually do
There is a time and place for work. Here’s what those look like in action.
Normal Service For Your AC
This is like the way you think about servicing a car. Just because a service isn’t broken doesn't mean it’s not worth using. AC service in Kharagpur, preferably twice a year, once before the summer and once after the monsoon season, keeps the unit clean and running efficiently.
This means a full clean of the indoor unit, a high-pressure foam jet wash of the evaporator coil, cleaning the outdoor unit and condenser coil, checking the refrigerant pressure, clearing the drain pipe, testing the fan motor function, checking all electrical contacts, and a full performance test before we leave.
A clean and well-maintained AC consumes considerably less electricity and cools more efficiently. That’s not a marketing claim; it’s just the physics.”
When Something Has to Be Fixed
AC repair in Kharagpur is a broad term that may include everything from a ten-minute capacitor replacement to fixing a refrigerant leak, replacing a motor, PCB fault repair, or compressor issues.
Whatever the repair, we use genuine spare parts for your brand and model. We don’t use cheaper substitutes. Simple reason: a bad part could last a couple of weeks, then be bad again. On the right side you can see that the repair really lasts.
We cater to all major brands like Voltas, Daikin, LG, Samsung, Blue Star, Hitachi, O General, Lloyd, Godrej, Carrier, Whirlpool, Panasonic.
When You Should Perform a Clean Install
Before the first hole is drilled in Kharagpur, our AC installation service begins. We come to the room, find out the wall type and thickness, check the size of the room and sun exposure, consider where the outdoor unit will be placed, and review your current electrical circuit for load capacity.
Then we do the installation planning properly.
The indoor unit is placed where the airflow will best cover the room. The outdoor unit is installed in a place where heat radiation is not obstructed. Copper pipes run neatly, completely insulated and bent at proper angles, with no sharp bends that constrict flow. The wiring is built to safety standards.
Once everything is hooked up, we run the system for a minimum of 15 minutes and check that the cooling performance is equal to the rated capacity of the unit for the room size.
A rushed or sloppy installation can reduce your AC cooling efficiency by a quarter and void your manufacturer warranty. We don’t rush.
Before We Leave The Last Check
When the service, repair, or installation is completed, the technician doesn’t just start packing up.
They have the air on. They measure the temperature at the air outlet. They listen for any odd vibration or sound. They make sure the drains are clear. They make sure all the functions on the remote work fine.
Then they tell you to check it yourself.
You’re in front of the unit, you feel the airflow, and you give us your honest reaction. If anything's wrong—anything at all—we don't leave until it's fixed."
The invoice and all the rest of it
You get a complete itemized bill. Every service, every part, and every labor charge is itemized and transparent. The total you pay is the estimate you signed before the work started. No additions at the end.
We provide a written service warranty on all eligible repairs.
Two days after the visit you’ll receive a follow-up message from us checking on whether the AC is doing well. If something's not right you tell us, and we go back to sort it out. We really do use the follow-up responses to know how we are doing, so it is not just a formality.
A Few Things We Believe Most Services Don’t
We will not recommend a repair that is not needed. If the filter needs cleaning, we'll clean it and let you know that was all it needed. We’ll tell you the gas is fine, and we’ll fix the coil if you came in for a gas refill but the coil is really the problem.
We don’t upsell you into an AMC you didn’t ask about. We have AMC plans available for those who want them. We don’t force them on people who have just called in for a repair.
We believe you have a right to know what is going on with your own appliance. You are buying it. You take care of it. You should know what was wrong, what we did, and what to look out for going forward.
These Are Questions People Ask Frequently
My AC is running, but it’s not cooling the room. What is wrong usually? In nine out of ten cases, it’s one of three things: a dirty filter that limits airflow, a dirty evaporator coil that reduces heat exchange efficiency, or low refrigerant caused by a small leak. All three can be repaired. None of them require total unit replacement.
How can I tell if it needs a service or a real repair?? When the AC is running, the airflow feels OK, but the cooling is a little less than it used to be, which normally means it’s time for a service. If your AC isn't cooling at all, is making noises it never made before, is tripping your circuit breaker, or is dripping water inside, then it’s time for a repair. Ring us and tell us what’s happening. We will tell you straight away which group you are in.
How frequently should I get my AC serviced in the Kharagpur climate? The honest answer for this area is twice a year. Here, dust levels plug up filters and coat coils faster than in cleaner air, especially before the monsoon. A pre-summer service in March or April and a post-monsoon service in October keep things in good shape all year round.
Can I trust the technician who is coming into my home? All of our technicians are trained, have verified identification, and have been with us long enough that we know their work. They wear uniforms. If someone comes in to see us without an ID card, please call us before letting them in.
Do you work on the weekends? All days of the week, including Sundays and public holidays. Not because it's inconvenient—Kharagpur summers don't take days off.
What if you fix the AC and it goes out again? That’s what the warranty for the service is for. If the same problem occurs again during the warranty period, we will come back and fix it for free. We stand by what we do.
Are you also doing commercial installs? Yes—offices, showrooms, clinics, and multi-room installs. We provide AC installation services for all types and sizes of residential and commercial properties in Kharagpur. We do cassette AC and multisplits too.
This is where we don’t promise something we can’t deliver
We won’t tell you that we are the fastest in Kharagpur. We’re not going to say we’re the cheapest. We’re not willing to compromise. Those two claims would require us to compromise somewhere.
We will tell you this: your AC will be working when our technician leaves your home. You will know exactly what was done and exactly what you paid for. And if something is not correct, we'll get back.
That’s not a tagline. That's just how we roll.
Kharagpur’s heat never lets up. Your AC shouldn’t be the thing that breaks you. Call us—let us get you cool again.
