What if bad luck was like... math. Multiplying two negatives makes a positive kinda thing.
For example:
13 black cats knock over and break a mirror
number 13 (unlucky number)
black cats (bad luck omen) (really they are sweet void babies)
broken mirror (7 years of bad luck because you damaged your soul)
3 unlucky things = unlucky
But if we multiply in another unlucky thing
At the call of the screech owl, 13 black cats knock over and break a mirror
Screech owls call (told to be an omen of death) (actually not a screech... more like a trill or a whistle)
number 13 (unlucky number)
black cats (bad luck omen)
broken mirror (7 years of bad luck because you damaged your soul)
Thats four negative things

So actually thats good luck!
