Weird personal rant

I feel like I am just spilling irrelevant personal stuff for no reason but this blog is kind of a diary, so here we go.

I am a weirdly big fan of competitive eating and I love Adam from Beardmeatsfood. (Lore drop) I even travelled to Manchester last year to see his live podcast show. I got a 100 pounds in cash for being the person that travelled the furthest for the evening.

Recently Adam was in Denmark with his crew to film videos, but NOT in Copenhagen where I live. I wasn't going to chase them around the outskirts of the country, but of course I would have showed up to see Adan complete a challenge in person, if they were in the area. Again... I am kind of a crazy person I guess. Turns out my brother happened to just be at the right place, at the right time to see Adam and the crew film a video at burger place, on a train station in the greater Copenhagen area. He told me this a couple of days AFTER he had seen them, because he thought it was funny that he would be in the video. I legitimately started tearing up and questioned why he didn't call me or text me, when it happened. Why he didn't say anything to Adam about his sister being a huge fan, or just acknowledge my interest in the subject matter to the crew. My brother said that he had forgotten that I was a huge fan, even though the last time we hung out, I WAS WEARING A BMF T-SHIRT AND HE EVEN ASKED ME ABOUT ME BEING A FAN!

Now the video is out, I am tearing up watching it, because I just feel like I have this terrible brother and this is just another reminder of this fact. This fact has been immortalized online and millions of people will watch the video, not knowing that it is a representation of my brothers general disinterest in his sister and our strained relationship. Me speaking, him never listening. His selfishness while the rest of us bend over backwards to meet his needs. I know it sounds insane, and obviously this isn't just a one time thing. We have a complicated relationship, as he is older than me but I have always taken care of him. I spent my whole adult life making sure he gets enough to eat, that he gets outside, I have even financially supported him at times. I took care of our mother when she was sick and he was too depressed to do it. And all I ask is that he at least would have enough braincells to think "oh this might make my sister happy" and yet he never does. Okay rant over. I am thankful that I have a brother, but sometimes it feels like he doesn't know me and that he doesn't care to try to know me.
