Bullfighting is disgusting, but maybe acceptable if it has red hair and wears a mask
The ‘lower levels’ as soon as she had seen the pamphlet this was a place she wanted to check out. Often the best way to judge a government and its city was by how they treated the poorest common denominator. Sure enough while the rest of the city was happy and thriving the people down here were of a different mind.
Their clothes, the buildings, everything is in poorer shape, albeit they still look somewhat happy of their own accord- they always do when they don’t know what its like to have more.
And then her breath is caught in her throat, a pause almost instinctively she wants to move to hide as she sees that red hair- those horns. The man who betrayed her- killed her- at least she thinks he did, the afterlife or whatever this was she hadn’t entirely decided on yet.
She can’t say she’s actually waited for this day, longed for it- because she hasn’t. As far as she’s concerned it’s been less than a day, since it happened. She’s only been in this place for several hours and yet something drew her here, to this particular Faunus.
The one who supported her all those years, the one she fought with, laughed with, cried with . . .They didn’t die together though, in fact when his blade pierced her stomach. She didn’t know what to feel- she didn’t have much time to think about it, really.
Were she ten years younger she might have just charged him down now, struck at him with everything she had. But that would be the foolish thing to do- as angry as she was at gut wrenching as this pain was. If she wasn’t careful she’d tear into her own skin.
There’s no reason to act rash now, introduce herself, judge his reaction, plan accordingly. Just call out to him, if he reacts violently then . . . So be it. This time she wouldn’t be caught unaware.
“Adam!” Her voice is cheery- she’s a little surprised she can even talk like that, it makes her feel sick. “I don’t believe it- you were brought here too? I only just arrived. . . I don’t know by what means these humans used to accomplish that but I can’t say I’m happy about it.”
She pauses, long enough to give him a friendly smile. “Although it seems even worlds a part we’re still able to find a way to each other, maybe it’s something like fate?” That’s right, if this was fate that she run into him again, she won’t let the routine repeat here.
