This had to be the third time his job had lost his college transcript. For being a prestigious law firm, they were terrible at keeping track of important paperwork for their employees. If Markus had been in charge of it, that would’ve never happened--he was always on top of things (both figuratively and literally). It’s exactly why he’s back at the university picking up the required credentials he needed, luckily they were quick and a lot more organized than when he had previously attended. It took about twenty minutes to get everything he needed and he was back out the door, pulling his keys out of his pocket and pressing the unlock bottom. He looks in the direction of where he hears his car go off and heads that way. It seemed strange, as he approached, that he could hear someone rustling on the side of the building where his car was--people didn’t tend to lounge around outside of the campus buildings, so it was odd to see someone. It wasn’t until he approached the person that it made sense.
“Smoke break? Things really haven’t changed since I graduated.” Markus jokes, looking up and down at his old professor.
