first of all: yES ANOTHER GERMAN STUDENT L OVE ME 

and I originally thought the same, but when spoken quickly I think it blends together, at least the way my german teacher pronounces it. I think it can have the ‘ck’sound, but a softer one than in shrek. idk man, languages.
