Before taking the final steps necessary to reawaken the Great Spirit, the Toa Nuva were teleported to the island of Artakha. Here they received an upgrade that would prove invaluable in the coming battles; the Adaptive Armor. Designed and built by the being Artakha, each set was equipped with an on board artificial intelligence and multiple sensors to determine what form the wearer’s gear should take for a particular situation. Despite the name, the Adaptive Armor could also change the forms of the wearer’s Kanohi and weapons.
Photographed here is Toa Nuva Pohatu with his Adaptive Armor in vehicle form. In this form, all of his standard weaponry is deactivated, but his visor has been upgraded with a heads-up display and aerodynamic fins. The upgraded display on his visor is connected to the Rockoh T3’s weapons for targeting assistance.
