Chickens lay well in hot weather but like all birds are very susceptible to heat stress. It may help to put their scraps in an ice cream container with water and freeze. You will need several throughout the day but it may assist in keeping them cool. Use shadecloth over their run and watch them closely. Our wire chicken wasn't harmed in the making of this post.
