I’m teaching an animation workshop in september and I’m still figuring out what project to assign to my students. I did this test to see if I could animate a looping nested sequence.

I’ve been having problems with my wrist, which makes drawing difficult (booooooooo!). So to switch things up I started messing around with clay again.
Donezo!
Took Michelle Kwon’s “3D Isometric Environment Modeling” class on skillshare. I never managed to design an entire set so I started small with a little piece of furniture. Hopefully the rest of the Breakfast Collection will follow...
Today in hard-drive throw-backs... here’s an art test I did for @echobridge back in the spring. I called it “Cookie-suchus” (like the ancient amphibious predator Koolasuchus). The weird perspective on the head is pretty charming.
My computer’s on the fritz, so time to back stuff up...
lil’ snippets of a fun project I worked on awhile ago. My main inspiration was the time when I was working on an art test for Lisa Frank. It didn’t work out with them, but it was fun to channel the aesthetic in my freelance work.
How am I supposed to get any work done here
@mattbraunger signed my sketch of him! His set was fantastic. I had only listened to his audio tracks before and seeing him perform live was somethin’ else.
Making another foray into gouache with this study. I’ll be submitting my knobbly knees and crotchedy crotch to the Venus Rising show in Detroit (if I can get my act together and stop playing Animal Crossing for like 5 minutes)
shout out to @whereistheleftchopstick, because without that spontaneous NYE photoshoot this wouldn’t have happened
