how did adhi and eve meet ? what's the weisheng-eve dynamic like ?

(for the sake of clarity i'll just use she/her pronouns for eve in this explanation. but they use any pronouns) eve found adhi! in the 1800s rumors of a person with a godlike way of never aging brought her curiosity to them. eve wasn't sure if adhi was the same as her, but she wanted to find out. at the time she was young, but knew she was different than normal people. once adhiyan met evangeline, they took her under their wing and over time they turned into more of a parental figure for her. eve often calls adhi "appa" or "amma", depending on their gender presentation.

weisheng first met eve after he runs into adhiyan in the present day. since they didnt have any contact during all those centuries apart, weisheng is a bit distrusting of her but is cordial... eve on the other hand, has heard from adhiyan about the breakup before (though just mentioned in passing about what adhi thought was a relationship with a human) so she doesn't really like him, at first. she's pretty protective of adhiyan. weisheng and eve do not have a stepparent/stepchild relationship, its more of like: two people at a mutual friend's party left alone in the same room and have literally nothing to talk about because they dont know each other outside of the dynamic with the mutual friend.

i like to imagine that they ran into each other somewhere anticlimactic like... a grocery store. like imagine running into your situationship from 3000 years ago who you thought was LONG dead at a grocery store?? would be insane. because they both thought the other was dead, there was a lot of shock involved. weisheng thinks he's run into one of adhi's descendants or just a doppelganger, while adhiyan is in full shock. it doesn't help that adhi's literal Child (eve) is with them at the time.

i can imagine eve being like "oh sorry- please excuse my parent they're a little spatially unaware" while adhi and weisheng are just staring at each other silently LMAO

i want to fight weisheng for adhiyan's hand in marriage (he'd end me) but jokes aside, how did they meet ? and if i may ask, what was the era they met in (like for example: chola, vijayanagara, pandya etc) ur art is radiant and i always love seeing u on my dash, i apologize if my english is a bit clunky, it is not my first language.

they met each other first during the sangam period (before the official chola dynasty), i place it around 600BC-- they were both traders at the time!

i'll be posting their refs in a bit, probably tomorrow, but adhiyan and weisheng are the lomls okay SO they dated in ~1000 BC but broke up. fast forward to present day and they are exes who didn't realize the other person was immortal and quite literally run into each other again. they've got like a rivals -> star crossed lovers -> exes -> friends -> married LOL in their current form they're married. also adhiyan has an (adult) daughter, evangeline, who is also immortal- adhi took her under their wing centuries after the breakup so weisheng doesn't know about that whole thing. anyways their story is all over the place and a lot of it is background lore but i'll post more of them i promise!
