AU in which everyone on the American team - both players and coaches - sees into the future and find out what happens when they play the Soviet team on February 22.

Herb Brooks is trying so hard to not let his boys become overconfident. He has to keep them grounded, make sure they’re in shape and still practicing, even with this huge new wave of hope that’s come from some vision of the future. Because, Herb reasons, this future of beating a team like the Soviets can only come true if his team remains disciplined and has trained hard enough to have a good chance at it.
AU in which, following a peculiar incident, all the hockey teams competing in the 1980 Winter Olympics each add one female player to their roster. So, each roster is at 21 players rather than 20.
Inspiration source.
AU in which the game that was supposed to be the Miracle on Ice ends in a tie.
