Every few years the nations have to move to avoid people noticing how they don’t age normally. Some of the countries learned long ago to distance themselves from their neighbors and not get too attached to anything or anyone, because in just a couple of years they have to leave again - yet it often happens that they just start chatting with someone. It can be that the guy next door asks if he can borrow an egg, or maybe the old lady from across the street forgot to close her window again, it’s not rarely the nation in question soon befriends the people around them, making it even harder to say good bye when the time comes to move on.
