About the Angemon vs Devimon fight... When Devimon is reaching down to Patamon and Takeru, isn't it implied that he manages to grab both of them? If Yamato's reaction is anything to go by. Also, we only see Takeru after Angemon has evolved and Devimon has let go of them. Now, this could be me nitpicking and obviously they can't show a child be killed by a giant demon, but still it adds another layer of intensity to the scene if we assume Takeru was literally almost crushed to death

It is implied, though it’s not done in a great way since it doesn’t actually do anything to Takeru. But let’s take a closer look!

Here’s the moment slowed down a little bit, and not only does it look like Takeru and Patamon both get grabbed, but also intensely squeezed. Pretty violent. 

When Patamon starts to evolve and Devimon lets go, there’s no sign of Takeru. He doesn’t get a reaction shot while Patamon is evolving and is the last to get one after he evolves fully into Angemon. 

He’s fine though, even after apparently being super squeezed by a giant hand, which is why I said it doesn’t really do anything to him. It’s not like they’re against showing Takeru in pain/injured either. Just earlier he gets slammed into a wall and seems to black out a bit from it.

And yet he’s shown totally fine after being grabbed and squeezed by Devimon. It’s a bit weird. Not that I want to Takeru to be injured, but looking at the scene he should be at least dazed or something. 

And now we know. Devimon’s Death Claw is less threatening than being slammed into a wall.
