Are any names changed in the adventure swap thing? And is it only the Links that are swapped around or are other characters switched around too, eg Midna exchanged for Marin and so on?

the names are the same for now since we havent thought of anything to change them for, but i am so glad you asked about that actually, because yes some of the side characters are switched too

midna gets replaced by ravio in this, just bc i think we would all die if we didnt include ravio and he isnt smart enough to replace shad, so midna it is lol. twili prince ravio :D

this also means that ravio is replaced by shadow for four

sheik is just straight up canon to the oot+mm timeline for wars. like. hes just a canon character instead of a disguise now lol

the champions help wild during the war. i wanted to do the descendants instead, but i think it would make more sense if mipha, revali, daruk and urbosa were still alive in this universe

groose is Just There for sky. hes just existing <3

linebeck is also just there. i think wind deserves his dad in skyloft too

saria replaces aryll for time idc that theyre not siblings they are now and id die for them

we havent thought about the others? really i dont know enough about hyrule + his adventures to do character swaps for him and twi lmao

Some ideas for the Adventureswap AU: (See previous post)

-Shoko the Human: in fantasy rpg terms, a thief-class hero. She’s a human who always tries to do the right thing, but sometimes messes up because she takes things too much at face value. Siblings and best buds with Tiger.

-Tiger the ...Tiger?: They’re a cat. Tiger is pretty quiet. See: some combination of Cake and Ice Bear. They have a problem with being unable to act on things, perhaps because their interest isn’t piqued enough, perhaps because they don’t care, but if you hurt someone Tiger actually likes, you’d better pray to Holy Lincoln for help.

-Holy Lincoln/President Glob: This swap is self explanatory. It's all the way up here to explain the thing above.

-Princess Lemongrab: The ruler of the Candy (sour?) Kingdom. Has trouble dealing with people, but still tries his best to serve his kingdom. Often relies on Shoko to solve problems.

-Senator Bubblegum: The real gum golems were wiped out ages ago, but she was created by Lemongrab to help him manage things. Of course, she was kind of a megalomaniac, and after attempting to overthrow the princess, Bubblegum was exiled to a small earldom. The Senator and Shoko ironically are good friends, and Shoko had a crush on her at one point. Also, she may be in cahoots with Ice Regent.

-Ice Regent: Once a half-demon, half-human teenager, she picked up an artifact to save her friend. It made her completely immortal and granted abilities beyond her own, but eroded away Regent's sanity. She's fixated on intimidation, instead of kidnapping princesses, and would be chartered more into the category of a disney villain, including the part with getting great musical scores. She uses the crown's ice/snow powers almost completely passively, instead relying on generating lightning.

-Simon (can't think of title?): Formerly a researcher on the subject of the arcane. In this AU, his interest was in souls, and found a way to artifically extract and absorb them. When the apocalypse struck, he managed to survive. Realizing he would have to address the ongoing threat of vampires (or should I swap them with the rainicorns in this timeline? he could be a light spectre or something. but then everything would be too hard to keep track of.), he started to hunt them down and take their souls to make the process more efficient. However, he was defeated and bitten by their leader, leading a certain part-demon friend of his to don an artifact to protect him. Losing your humanity and watching your friend lose HER sanity sort of mess with you in the long run.

-The Lich: still himself in this AU. He looks different, though. Sort of how the Pokemon called Deoxys has different forms. Does that make sense? Dunno.

-Princess Rainicorn/King Rainicorn: Overthrew the old king of her kingdom way back. Her kingdom has a strong military force. Good buddies with Tiger.

-Flame Keeper: The begrudging accomplice to Princess Lemongrab. She's in charge of keeping the kingdom powered and lit, etc. Phoebe would really rather be doing something fun. Perhaps destructive.

-Magic Betty: A martian who went into a self-imposed exile to watch over Earth. Saved the life of a human when the mushroom war happened, and how goes to visit him every once in a while.

-(Magic man, except human): Sort of irrellevant in this AU. He was killed around the time of the Mushroom War. Maybe something'll happen to his corpse? I have no idea.

-Finn (and Jake): Past lives of Shoko and Tiger. A blue skinned humanoid who was a mercenary-for-hire, and his large pitbull-ish dog companion.

Other swaps: LSP/Slime Princess, BMO/NEPTR (or perhaps BMO/AMO?), and that's all I can think of right now.

The AU doesn't have a perfect algorithm behind it, characters will be swapped based on impact, traits, parallels, or stuff like that, but character relationships and personalities are still at base somewhat similar to the originals. Swaps aren’t even necessarily 1:1. 

Feedback is welcome, this is just a silly idea I’ve made up in the process of a few nights stretched out over several months.

So, remember the AU I had a while back where Finn+Jake and Shoko+Tiger are swapped? Anyways, I’ve been thinking that the AU should apply to more than that. One swap I have set already is Betty/Magic Man, and I was thinking Bonnibel/Lemongrab, maybe Simon/Marceline, etc. The backstory isn’t completely different, but characters happened to be in different places/times that alternate their roles and effect towards the plot.

Anyways, I’m calling this AU Adventureswap unless there’s already something called that.
