hidden symbolism 🌸

While there are topics which Lu Han has vast knowledge of, flowers aren’t among them.
When it comes to their symbolism, along with that of their colors, there is little information which he upholds on that matter. The very basics of white symbolizing purity, red standing for love and the sort are well-known to him, along with a select few flowers and plants which have distinct meanings; the most prevalent will always be the red rose, which represents love and passion.
For the idea that Lu Han hand in mind, however, he concluded that it was best to ask for help from a person that works with flowers and plants day in and day out. This is why he winds up at one of the many flower shops that Incheon has to provide, smiling wide as his eyes passed over the bountiful amount of flowers left on display at the front of the store. Even with the chilly weather from outside, the place was not lacking in any way; this showed not only by what they had to offer or the way bouquets were presented, but also by the relatively large number of people that went in and out of the store.
Among them, Lu Han also steps inside and allows his eyes to wander over some of the bouquets. If he goes with the choice of color that he opted for Naeun’s room, then the bouquet should hold white, pink and perhaps light yellow flowers in it - all to match the pastel setting. However, he wishes for more than just a simple match and prefers that either the flowers or plant he will buy would hold a deeper meaning; it didn’t matter if the one that they are gifted to wouldn’t know of their meaning, he would still hold everything dear in his heart. The thought alone makes a smile form onto his lips, though he catches himself when one of the workers there gives him a funny look and his expression immediately shifts to a neutral one.
“Excuse me,” in spite of the choice of words that he opts for, Lu Han means the apology in a dual way. “I am looking for something for a... dear friend of mine,” pink blossoms across his cheeks, potentially giving away that the person in mention holds a much more important role than that of a simple friend. “Do you believe you could help me in picking up something for her? I feel a bit at a loss, since I would like for it to hold a special meaning.”
Just like her.
