“fool! do you think these meager snacks will pacify my rage! i am livid, incensed! in fact, my fury is so great i could easily collapse this whole place at this moment!” he goes on a seemingly nonstop verbal tirade, yapping away as he plops a cookie into his mouth anyways. the rantings still go on, but he progressively quiets down with each cookie he tosses into his mouth. “these.. these-- inferior....” eventually he settles down. “mm.. well. i suppose they are the worst thing i have had.”

Kariya awoke to the sight of mist, to the smell of water, and the sound of waves lapping the shore of a... lake? Yes, he was standing in front of a lake, and in the very center of the waters stood a woman, tall and willowy and beautiful.

This didn't make any sense. He'd summoned a Berserker, and this wasn’t him, that enough was certain. And yet this woman radiated so much magical energy that she could not be anything but a heroic spirit. He didn’t know much about the competition’s servants, so maybe she was one of the other magi’s...

But if that was the case, why wasn’t she attacking him? A shot of terror rippled through his body. He couldn’t sense his own servant anywhere.
