This is a project that explores the sense of home in large scale housing estates. Mass produced blocks of flats are repetitive and can lack a human presence. Frei however shows that regardless of the uniform architecture and clinical nature, there are still imperfections to be found, personal touches that provide a sense of home in the most ‘unhomely’ of places.
