Welcome to Spane, capital of the Mancomunity of Talciane and, as such, one of the four capitals of the Territory of Aegone! Located on the southernmost tip of the largest island of the Talciane Islands, Ailealane, it is made up of around 1000 islands, most of them connected by bridges or ferries, just under the extremely active Ivelnbile volcano. For that, its citiziens have been deemed of being extremely resilient and adapted to the catastrophic nature of its location, with giant walls that protect the inner city and an architecture built to resist lava, tsunamis, and earthquakes. Despite its very flawed location, it has a long history and its more than 38 million inhabitants (more than the population of Tokyo) are very proud of being of Spane. The divinity of the city, Iarbe, is one of the most popular deities in Aegone, and as such the city is regarded as the religious center of the Territory. Its inhabitants are a melting pot of different Aegonian races, most of them being Bnai and Hllian. As such, the dialect of Aegonian spoken here is very influenced by Hllian and especially Bnai - the original language of the city - , and those languages are widely spoken alongside Aegonian and Magic Tongue.
