… a while back it seems like tagging my art upset some people because it wasn’t the content they wanted to see in the tags, so now instead of just not tagging it, I apologize for tagging it in the tags. Like, I want to acknowledge that maybe not everyone wants to see it but I also want the people who DO want to see it to be able to >v> KEK

@dravanian you’re right tbh, I should have been thinking of it like that! ;v;  I havent actually played most of the other final fantasies, II IV and XII (and FFT) are the only ones I have ;3; and I didnt finish XII because they announced the remake when I was about 3/4 through it so I was like oh dang cool I’ll wait until they put that on steam and then I’ll be able to play it legally. I really enjoyed all the ones I played though! I’m not a critic so I can’t say how good or bad any of them were, especially not compared to each other. None of the ones I played had me think “the writing here is bad”, ;v; XII and FFT are on the top of my list because they’re more my kind of thing, and stormblood gave me a very XII feel somehow.... I really liked it! I can’t compare XIV to the other final fantasies, though, because I think they’re all good! like, I played part of XIII and I really liked it so far (unpopular opinion, but I liked the characters a lot.) I want to play more of the final fantasies... I think I should take a break from XIV to do that... (but then I’ll get way behind on gear and stuff...)

It’s more that I wanted to make a dig at WoW more than anything, tbh, (WHICH, BY THE WAY, I AM STILL PLAYING AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYING REGARDLESS, which is why I make fun of it) and remind us all to collectively... count our blessings. I’ve seen so many people saying ARR, HW, and SB were bad, but despite the flaws people have pointed out which I admit are legitimate, the devs for FFXIV are obviously really trying to write a thoughtful story that carries the spirit of the other FF games, and I personally enjoyed it a lot! That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t express what they think is wrong about it, it’s just... well, in the past, when I’ve said “i think it’s good!” I’ve had people tell me why it’s not, without solicitation... not in the manner of “oh, consider this,” but in the mood of the “NO FUN ALLOWED” meme... like.... being enthusiastic seems to be considered uncool? But even when I know there are flaws and admit them, I still think it’s overall very well done! It could be so much worse it’s still... so good? The reason it came up is because I was actually playing WoW and was laughing about how bad the writing was at points and just sitting there like “man, I appreciate XIV so much”. I just worded things wrong and didnt think things through. I’m really good at doing that, ahaha..... sorry.

@rolanberrycheesecake I have seen a lot of posts implying that, so yes, I’m just (being defensive) explaining how I could possibly think otherwise/miss the glaring flaws tbh bc I want to have something to point back to if I’m sitting here chilling like wwwww I really thought the story in 4.0 was good and somebody comes out of the weeds like NO IT WASNT AND HERE IS WHY as I’ve seen other people doing

regardless of whether it was good or not, though, the point remains that WOW WAS REALLY BAD and made me less nitpicky of mmorpg story-writing
