Dan Black. “I really like this story from Aesop’s Fables, about the lion and the mouse. In the story, the lion is really proud and boastful until he gets caught in a trap, and finds himself in a situation where he can’t help himself as much as the little mouse can help him, because the mouse chews through the ropes until he’s free. The story is a good reminder to me to not underestimate things that appear to be weak or unnecessary, and not to put too much confidence in my own perceived strength, because I will regularly find myself in situations where I might need help from people I don’t expect. It’s a good humiliating story.” You can check out Dan's new mural at LSA Burger Co. along with 5 others that were painted over the weekend. (It certainly helps to see Dan's in-person to appreciate the glossy accents on the matte paint).
