What did you use to paint the Doctor Who shoes?

I used fabric paint. My friend got it for my birthday last year, but I think she got it from a crafty/fabric/materials shop. In Australia, the shop's called spotlight... but I don't know if that helps you... It's really good because it dries ready to be washed, rather than some types of paint where you have to iron it or something before washing.If you can't find that though, I have a friend who uses acrylic paint and then puts a varnish or something on it...
