What’s something as a pilot that I’ve learned from the shock to the aviation sector that COVID caused, as well as the current loss of my medical? Adaptability. The people that were able to adapt fast and easily to being furloughed were the ones who were flexible and open-minded. I raise my imaginary glass to the guys and ladies who didn’t dally when they got the sad news that they were out of work, but moved on to other avenues to make ends meet. I bet it was real hard, but y’all made it happen. As for myself, adaptability is what’s saving me during this tough time of not having a valid medical. I am still pestering TC to work on my file (more on that next post), and in the meanwhile, am working happily on my degree. I know if I get another shock and my ship goes ballast up, I’m adaptable and strong enough to make use of my education and continue fighting for my right to be in the sky. 🛫 ✈︎ ✈︎ ✈︎ posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CW9-kJXrpgS/
