I have 2 weeks off to prepare for 6 exams

2 partical exams

1 research paper

1 oral exam

Still riding the high of getting Rush tickets (!!!), but project work must go on so before my lectures this morning I’m working on the next steps I discussed with my supervisor yesterday – namely, going through an example piece of code for Poincaré maps and figuring out how we’ll need to edit it for our goal.

han kang’s “we do not part” follows the story of a woman who travels to the island of jeju at the request of a friend to look after her pet bird. that being said, any attempt to condense han kang’s work into a simple plot line does not pay it justice.

underlining key quotes and sketching a quick diagram has helped me delve deeper into the book’s symbolism and haunting imagery.
