20. What feedback makes you the happiest to hear?
Besides any? ;)
Things about characterization, when someone gets how/why my OCs behave as they do, and what people think of my NPC portrayals. When people quote dialogue back and make comments on it, especially if they say they can hear [NPC] saying it. When people catch patterns, symbolism (some I didn’t realize I added consciously!).
As said in another response when something I’ve written makes someone go “oh huh I didn’t think of that!” in regards to a plot point or character, especially given how close I often stay to canon to try and puzzle out said character motivations, responses, and how it all affects plot, sometimes to make what happens make more--or any--sense (Return to Dreams of Ice being one such attempt to stick to the thin story we got for E8 while expanding on it for my WoL and her friendship with Ysayle and why did we agree to that plan).
And in the end, never underestimate the simple satisfaction of a keysmash and/or capslock yelling.
I do prefer getting feedback on Ao3. My tagging and reference systems make it easy to go back and find posts on Tumblr for their tags and replies, but it’s easier to get that confidence and serotonin boost by popping to Ao3 and seeing comments there when needing to remind myself “Yes a handful of people seemed to like some of what I have written.”

From Nolanel:
Why is that woman always at the Congregation.
Is she going to finally trip over the split in the floor tile?
Fuck's sake, why's she here now?
It's as though she were dancing.
Never mind.
Big shot. What's she want from us?
Her voice is pretty.
Absolutely not.
Nice of her.
Hold still! They're trying to help.
Mornings suit her. Damn snow.
She awake yet? Where is she? We need to get moving. Gotta get her home.
That's blood.
Thank Halone she's here.
18. who uses all the hot water?
As with many things with Aymeric and Synnove--it depends!
If Synnove is coming down off a research bender, chances are very high it’ll be her. She is perfectly capable of falling asleep while standing up, and that includes in the shower, and she typically attempts to get clean before going to sleep if someone hasn’t dosed her coffee or tea with a sleeping potion. (If she can’t manage it before the sleeps-like-a-corpse crash, she will after, but she’s still typically very tired and prone to dozing.) Nice hot shower making her muscles relax and that wonderfully warm steam going up her sinuses? Out like a light. Aymeric does his best to keep an eye on the chronometer when she shuffles into the shower, but if he gets distracted with the carbuncles or making food or something else, time can easily slip by.
Otherwise? It’s Aymeric. Especially at Synnove’s house in Lower La Noscea.
Firstly, while there is Borel Manor, he’s still very much used to barracks living and spends most of his time at the Congregation; hot water was a premium when sharing with other knights, and as Lord Commander he probably skimped on his own hot water ration so his subordinates could eek out another few moments. And even when he’s home at the Manor? While Ishgard did have properly cold mountain winters pre-Calamity, they still had seasons; the everwinter post-Calamity could flash freeze water in pipes no matter how often they were used. And while Borel Manor wasn’t quite as old as some of the other manors throughout the Pillars, they still frequently had to deal with the problems associated with trying to keep the house sufficiently warm the whole year, and of course Aymeric would also limit his own hot water usage in favor of ensuring his aging butler and housekeeper could have use of it.
Synnove’s house, however, is only a few years old and has a hot water heater she custom built herself. Synnove was legitimately worried the first few times Aymeric stayed over that he had accidentally drowned himself in her tub; the man basks in heat like a happy coeurl.

YOU AND ME BOTH @aethernoise
gently places a 💭 if you want even for lack of Canon Interaction
“You ever see someone who appears to be your complete opposite and rather than be consumed with envy you just think ‘wow, good for her, amazing job’?” “Good for her, amazing job.”
Nope, no specifications whatsoever other than people yielding to their thirst for certain characters under these specific conditions if only to work as a catharsis by their own means. I shall definitely check out your writing.
