Painting of my character Dawncaller, a dragon of the same species as Rackiera and Areikzar (which is why they look so similar, lol). Took a long time and I'm at a point where I don't think there's anything else I could do without making it worse. I haven't done a painting in forever and just wanted to practice.

Five Years

A really late anniversary drawing for my love DraaGul ! We hit five years on July 17th and I've been working on this since around the 12th. I was nearly 2 weeks late upon finishing it but it's finally done, thank god.

I'm proud of it overall, though. I really love the paws <3

Happy Mother's Day

A gift for my mom for mother's day! I got it printed out and framed to give to her. I'm super excited <3

The big blue dragon is supposed to be my dad, the purple is my mom, the deeper violet-purple is my sister, and I'm the teeny tiny Rackiera on my dad's paws. I tried to base their designs off of their real life selves and personalities - my mom is the kind of person who likes going out and getting her nails and hair done, so I gave her frills and spots so she's a little more elegant looking. Her favorite color's purple so that's where that came from.

My dad is a physical guy who works outdoors a lot, loves fishing, builds stuff with his hands, and used to be a hunter, so I gave him some spines and stripes to contrast my mom.

My sister is a bit of a mix of my mom and dad, but she's more like my mom - loves going out shopping, picking out clothes, social butterfly, all that jazz. But she's still got some of my dad in her in that she loves nature, fishing, and animals, so her design leans towards my mom's in 'elegance' but has elements of my dad's (stripes and a blue tinge).

Then of course there's Rackiera, me, and I'm always told I look like my dad so it kind of worked out haha. I'm way closer to my dad as well in terms of interests, so I tossed mini-Rackiera on his feet.

Lots of symbolism for a little chibi drawing lmao. And one last thing! All the dragons here are supposed to be Aezkul from Threa since Rackiera herself is one. Was fun trying to make a little chibi family.

Rackiera Kzera Reference 2018

Rackiera's reference sheet was in need of such a makeover for so long. I just kept putting it off because I really either couldn't get her to look how I wanted or I just didn't have the time / inspiration.

However, after admiring a lot of really nice references from other artists, I came up with my own style that I really actually like for once.

Begone is my old awful shaded ref! I don't know why I did that!

Anyway, I hope this new style looks nice to you guys and you can get some insight on my main character, Rackiera. The only real difference between her design this time and last time is I removed the plates on her neck so she's smoother. :)

Happy Father's Day

A counterpart drawing ot my mother's day chibi's - a gift for my dad!

This time, it features Rackiera/me and her/my sister grown up some, presenting the fish we caught from the lake with their/our happy father, proud of the catch!

My dad's favorite hobby is to go fishing (catch and release bass fishing) up in the lakes of New Hamsphire/Maine and fewer things makes him more happy to have 'his girls' with him and for us to get a catch. We pose for a picture and then let the guys go - none of us are really hunters, we just like to catch and admire the beautiful guys. Really, they're honestly pretty. Go google largemouth and smallmouth bass - I love their patterning.

Anyway, we have a few pictures like this hanging around our house with our real selves, holding up our fish with our proud dad. I decided to draw it as a gift for him to immortalize all those happy moments. I drew my sister dropping her fish because she's done that quite a lot - there's been many bass she's lost over the side of the boat when trying to pull it out for a picture. :D

Fun fact: When I went down to CVS to pick up the print, the same guy who printed my mother's day art was there too and he was like "hey buddy!!" when I walked in the door, lmao. He wrote "Awesome!!" underlined on my receipt and now I'm going to pin that on my corkboard above my computer. <3

When I gave this picture to my dad, he actually started to tear up he loved it so much. I'm really glad to have made his day. Made every second I spent working on this worth it.

Commission - Landing Atop the World

Commission for Sabre94 over Discord of their character Averia, an Aezkul of the race Aezser, landing atop the mountains in the Aezrikka Zule on a bright sunny day. In the distance, you can see one of the higher peaks her kind inhabit.

She comes from the world of Threa, which you can read about here in my journal or on its own website. ^^
