He exists in the perfect middle: where all invisible points of interest can bear witness, but he never has to squirm to meet them. In the darkness, he is almost one with it - void, &. exists as shine &. reflection, his oxygen device glittering. All for One exists as the center, bearing prophecy. 

Fingers rise: grasping &. showcasing an invisible object, showing it off to the camera, &. Shigaraki’s potential inside of it, sculpted by All for One’s hands &. fitting within his fingers. ❛ There is nowhere else for you to go to be seen, Shigaraki. You are necessary here. Needed, here, with your comrades. They rely on you for survival. You would not betray them so profoundly. ❜

It             is             not             a             question.             All for One so             rarely             asks. All for One bears answers.

His breathing device fills the air in a quiet hum. All for One is a statue: bearing witness. Even to the dark, ever - watching lens of the camera that observes him, he captures it back &. makes it real.  ❛ I trust that you are able to complete the task I have given you to the standard I have entrusted to your care. You will not disappoint me, Shigaraki. ❜ All for One is a prophet: he bears truth. Heavy &. unforgiving. ❛ Wait for my next contact. I will see you soon. ❜

PAIN. ALL DEKU FEELS IS PAIN.

The space in the doctor’s laboratory is freezing. The tubes were much warmer, &. though all he could do was breathe &. float, at least it was warm. The momentary anticipation before release feels like nothing he’s ever experienced before. STRIKING COLD, &. unflinching doctors. It is all that Deku can do is remember how to speak. &. use rusty vocal chords. His lungs crackle             /            unused, full of fluid, coughing up purple - pink life - saving liquid.

He is barely conscious. The cold is all that keeps him awake, but even it ebbs to sleep. Eyes that no longer fit in his head; muscles spasming on the inside, muscles &. joints crying - out. Deku’s jaw unhinges when he tries to speak. A stranger’s voice exits him with the cadence of a MANGY DOG.

❛ St - o - o - op. ❜

Is he alone? Did he escape without meaning to? An intentional test? He feels barely - awake. The laboratory looks empty, but EVEN SHADOWS MOVE. Deku rolls his jaw back into place. He cannot even see what he looks like.             THE             MIND             FORGETS.

It was all - too - easy to get into Tartarus. Himiko had identification, and the right face &. a uniform - was that all she needed? Shigaraki was right that All for One was right, that she has the perfect quirk for subterfuge !

Syringes tucked tightly into her inner jacket pocket, just - in - case &. gun pressed against her back ( why even have these, if you have quirks? be like afo, &. just get people with better quirks ) she taps on All for One’s glass container and tells him in a stranger’s voice that he’s getting his dinner. 

Himiko enters, &. no one even comes with! ❛ Do you seriously have to eat through a bag? That’s okay, I’m sure girls - &. boys - will like you anyway. It’s unique. ❜
