Our second year volunteering in support of @breastcaredc at their Annual Ladies Night. Some of our students from last year came back to join us again!!!! Last year we made satin hair bonnets and this year we made pillows. When asked why i volunteer my time to teach sewing at Breast Care for Washington D.C.’s Annual Ladies Night In, I said, “I was born and raised in Ward 7, attended high school in Ward 8 at Ballou Senior High School located minutes away from BCW, and I enjoy sharing my love of sewing with the ladies in the community. Some of the ladies were breast cancer survivors and others just wanted to do something different on a Friday night.” We sewed reversible sequin and African inspired pillows, and one Cowboys pillow (she didn’t want any photographs on social Media🤣🤣🤣🤣). I said Good Luck with that messing around in my class. LOTS OF FUN💕 Thanks @kokogatlin for all your help!
