Your Scent
Eiji had just come home when his phone rang. The one calling was his mother. "Have you eaten? Warm the leftovers in the fridge, okay? Don't forget to use your socks and blankets while sleeping!" His mother said attentively. Eiji said yes and after taking a shower and eating his dinner, he returned to his room.
What a danger today, he thought. No one's home. And he almost thought to keep Koharu beside him if he didn't remember her mother calling. Koharu had to go home immediately before he changed his mind again.
But… Eiji held his lips then blushed while remembering the softness of Koharu's lips. "Oh no, I have to stop thinking about it," he said to himself. But as soon as he saw the clothes Koharu wore earlier, he remembered the warmth of her little arms that were wrapped around his shoulders, her scent, and…
"TRING!"
The sound of an incoming message interrupted his memories.
"I have arrived." One message from Koharu.
It's followed by a sticker that says cutely "thank you" with a kiss and a love.
Strange. They had just met, but Eiji already wanted to see his girlfriend again. There was a space in his heart that immediately felt full because he got a message from her. It was so full so that he didn't realize he was typing something. But he immediately erased it before sending out the words, "I really miss you"
"I hope I can go there again next time." Second message from Koharu. Eiji just stared at his cellphone screen without being able to write anything. He was worried that his heart would spill all out there. And he didn't want to embarrass himself anymore.
He just replied with a sticker, "ou" with a thumbs up image and sent a short message, "next time at the weekend." So that we can spend more time together...
Eiji sighed. Hard. When he found his hoodie that Koharu wore earlier in his sight, he took another sigh. He buried his face in that hoodie. He kissed the scent that remained there. Unbelievable. He had fallen so deep.
"TRING!" Again the sound of the incoming message. But this time from Nao. "How about today? Did it work out according to your plan? Something fishy?" Nao teased Eiji like this morning.
With a flushed face, Eiji gave a short, "yeah, almost."
"Almost what? Almost your plan or almost fishy?" Nao asked again to make sure.
Ugh. Eiji threw his cellphone on the bed while shouting, "whatever!" He didn't want to continue their conversation. Because he was sure that whatever the answer was, Nao would tease him even more.
