this was not what clarice starling had expected out of life -- not at all. she knew all too well that not everything would be fine && dandy while with lecter. she excepted that wholeheartedly. however, coming to terms with the fact that he truly was satan && that everything from her childhood teachings in a small town church had been true was not an easy feat. neither was discovering she was pregnant.
despite having had four months to get used to the idea, it made little to no difference. there's fear in her, fear of what her unborn spawn would be, fear of what would become of the world once she brought said spawn into it. this world was already full of such distruction, such darkness ---- would she only be making it worse? she did not know for sure. she could not know. not yet. so lost in her thoughts as she walked, hand mindlessly touching her face, she almost did not notice another female before her -- almost.

Strikes of magic broke through the dark, still air, causing the blonde to freeze in place. There was a strange sense of urgency hearing yelling and shouting, and she raced down the labyrinth of alleyways towards the sound of conflict. As Clare whipped around a corner,"Hey!" Her voice shouted, in order to disoriented the casters and aiming for a reaction--whomever cast a spell at her was the aggressor. Or so she hopefully assumed. Her feet guided her down the narrow alley watching a hand raise towards her, but the blonde was more than prepared. Always striking first and asking questions later. With a swift movement, she extended both her hands forward, palms out, fingers pointed down and a strong wind whirling towards the threat.
