Thoughts on this season.

XP is kinda low-key but challanges are okay

New OP crazy shit that people want to battle over if you try to get them.

Only one choice of customisation for Ghost/Shadow ain't cool but Shadow looking amazing TBH

Battle Pass is safe but still quite okay

Fuck the Challange Table and still hoping for party assist to be fixed soon

Fresh controversy to entertain

One last footnote, I was an Agent before it was cool.

Agent rambling post #1

These posts are just me looking over what the hell has happened over a period of time.

Main thing, these cubes. I have no clue what they are and people who eat them can be affected for a short time but I fear what long term exposure does to a person.

This leds me to the floating island and cubeification of the loot lake house. It seems to accelerate when exposed to the runes which seems to have correlation to the cubes...

These new halloween decortaions are welcome. They seem nice enough for spooktober.

Finally, I wonder how the others are doing. I hope everything will stay somewhat normal.

as I finish up chapter 2 I realise I love how every chapter of the Agent story ends with a shitty, sinking feeling (both IC and OOC)

*thinks back on the chapter finales for Roscoe*

chapter 1 is like "Congratulations u did the thing! Killed 10 000 innocent people in the process but yay mission accomplished"

and then chapter 2 "I guess I finished the thing and stopped the war from potentially becoming a lot bloodier and I'm free now... but I feel used and alone and doubly betrayed hooray"

and yeah chapter 3 I don't even need to spell it out. Ultimate goal reached, soul crushed

Guess I'm laughing/crying about how it just goes more downhill as the story progresses. You always accomplish the thing but dear god the cost of it all

I had assumed a lengthy leave during that part, since the constraints are administered over time during routine medical checks (plus the tone of “oh btw a war started while you were gone")

Yep, that's what I was thinking (I'm a bit unclear now tho if it's really 4 months or not). It's really unnerving now after having read all those posts. Somehow I shrugged off the "uh why's everything so different?" feeling on my previous two playthroughs

Still I wonder how exactly that whole procedure went down. Did they lose days, weeks, months out of their memory? I can't see any sane person doing that without noticing something's off. It had to be done more carefully. I know it happens during a routine medical check up or something along those lines. Still, the codex/game does mention wiping the subject's memory, doesn't it? Can't have been too much time or they'd notice for sure. Not to mention Kaliyo and Vector. If that's even relevant to how the Agent gets their injection. I don't know.

I'd like for my personal headcanon to align as closely as it can with what's canon. Any more clarity on this would be great

how long did your vacation last, Roscoe?

(maybe the real question is... how much does he remember of it... The break between chapter 1 and 2 only serves to unnerve me after realising that's when the thing takes place)

I guess it could be possible that the messages were leaked before Eradication Day...

I like keeping track of the time line in the story. Helps me determine how the character development should advance

I also happen to know that it's six months between The Old Man's death and the recording you find on that huge data centre (the very recording that fries Keeper and the Watchers)

I want to cobble this together but I think I'll need to do more research

That part always bugged me. Kothe might have his suspicions (and evidentally does, since y’know keyword), but that line’s just cruel. HEY I HEARD YOU WERE TRAUMATISED BY THAT LETS CASUALLY DISCUSS THE BODY COUNT.

lmao such tact If nothing else, it helps Roscoe maintain his cover with greater accuracy. I imagine he might flinch and start sweating at the mention of Eradication Day

Seriously speaking, though. He'd be fucking stupid to trust Cipher Nine right off the bat. And sure, Hunter's an obnoxious bag of dicks and Ardun Kothe makes it clear he can't trust the Cipher even if he wants to... Roscoe can't blame them (well not Kothe anyway). He sure as hell wouldn't trust him either if he were in their shoes. What they do to him is horrifying and while I wouldn't say "justifiable", it is understandable. At least Kothe acknowledges that it's wrong. It sounds weird but in the end Roscoe does have a bigger beef with the Sith who decided to do it in the first place, and Intelligence who authorised it, than the SIS for using it.

so I've talked about what Eradication Day did to Roscoe's psyche  and how that hilariously tragically enough actually is the cover story for why he defects
